Mine came in yesterday, going to be a christmas present for my wife.
I hope this line runs 30 figs deep. I don’t mind the ripped look, they’re only smooth for animation shortcuts in the first place, Goliath is clearly supposed to be jacked to the gills, as evidenced by all advertising paintings involved with the show including on the packaging lol Though I would probably have made the elbow spikes attached to the forearm sculpt instead of the middle piece.
Great first figure, hopefully they retool for an armored Thailog too, & throw in a “future tense” Demona while we’re at it.
Hell, I’d even pick up “stone skin” repaints.
I’d also be completely down for “wing packs”, not only caped wings like w/Bronx but neutral open wings too as that’s what they’re usually rocking. Bring em on Neca, this is our one shot at a quality adult collector Gargoyles line, let’s make this go the distance!
Wyvern Clan, Steel Clan, Mutates, Clone Clan, The Pack, maybe future versions from Puck's illusion ...
Love the style they are using, the veins, the muscles, the faces! To me, It looks more realistic!
This was a legendary find for me. I actually found one at my local target and that is a absolute miracle because my local target sucks with neca figures.

Brooklyn was my favorite when I was a kid so I’m super excited to see how they make him look.

Of you want cartoon accuracy go for for vinyl Applause versions. They are hard and expensive but cartoon accurate. This is my jam though. This is how I imagined him looking.

It’s amazing!!! Got mine yesterday and he is Perfect! And I don’t agree with Toy Shiz assessment of “Roided Out “ Goliath at all. I don’t want some lame Batman Animated Series Balloon muscle build Gargoyle thanks. Lol

Mine has fallen twice already... Wings haven't broken, and he hasn't gotten scratched yet, we have carpets. His ankles just aren't very strong. Right now, I have him leaning back on a Warhammer castle I built, looks cool and supports him up.
I am so for this. I'm a little upset because I was put on to this awesome show about 3 years ago, but better late than never... I love this figure, it's a "stone Hard" grab for me, ALL MOTHER F-ING DAY SON!!!
P.S. The intro to the show, a work of the GODS!! Nothing will never TOP that music in my eyes...

I watched some of the cartoon when I was a kid but started rewatching them. They’re great. I recommend them. Great review and I got my figure a couple of weeks ago. Great figure.
Even though I don't have a nostalgic connection to Gargoyles (ever so slightly past my time), I could tell it was an awesome show...especially when Troi and Riker were on there. It's odd they didn't make them cartoon accurate like they do with Turtles. Not sure what their reasoning is behind that. So even though I would've preferred animation accuracy, they're still top notch. Guess they went that route to appeal to a larger fan base.

That's a nice-looking figure, too bad Goliath didn't come w/ "cape wings", so that he could be displayed w/ his wings in a relaxed position. As a kid I always thought it was cool how the gargoyles could kind of "disguise" their wings as a cape when they weren't in use.
If you hadn’t seen yet, Bronx will come packed with the diff wing for Goliath. Which is rad!
@@ToyShiz Yea, I heard about another set of wings, but IDK it was going to be packaged w/ Bronx. That's a good & all, but I think it should've came w/ the Goliath fig. However, I understand it's a cost-cutting measure. But they should know that Gargoyles would sell well. Oh well. Thanks for the info.
I'm cool eoth not having great articulations on him since I just wanted him to look amazing on a shelf. I love the way you they sculpted him and painted him as well. Neca hasn't skipped out on those two aspects and I really wish mcfarlane toys would do the same with their figures. I'm all in on this line they are just killing it with this franchise and i am planning to get all of their figures based on the Gargoyles animation. 👍👍👍 Thanks for the great inboxing and review video

This is how he would have looked if they had the animation budget to add all the detail. Im curious about the human figures with the new face printing technology. All they have to do is get old Star Trek the next Generation Riker pick to give us a true Xanotos who was a better Lex Luthor than Lex Luthor. Sally Richardson too. This show was one of the first shows to really pay attention to minorities as well. Detective Maza shib color was in-between her black father and Latina mother. Little details like that made the show awesome.
Got mine the other day (after waiting 3 months for the buyer to get restocked).
Very happy with it, I actually like the jacked goliath look, as it (and the nipples) were how they drew goliath in the tie in comics at the time the show ran.
One thing with this, I felt they should have given him a stand (much like they did for the barret wallace ff7 remake figure I have) to help goliath stand up, since he is quite top heavy with the wings.
I hope if they do make another one, their give goliath collapsible wings like when he dropped his like a Cape.
Overall, great figure, for anyone who loved gargoyles it's a must have
My wing pegs have loosened so much they droop down, so don't mess with them too much
Dude I have that exact same Spawn figure along with the original version from the early 2000s. The original version is missing the plastic gun accessory held by the left hand.
I got him at target and absolutely love him. As long as the rest of them look as good I will be purchasing the rest of them.
Mine came today and he is beautiful. The problem with his wings though, is that his head is forced down by his wings
Mine’s in the mail so I can’t prove the theory, but you might try boiling his head in water for 30 seconds to make the hair malleable, then dunking in ice water to reset the hair in a position that’s more helpful.
I don’t know why they added a ab crunch.
They figure isn’t really that articulated anyway. The ab crunch doesn’t help with the standing problem.
This was my first Neca ever and it looks cool af but Neca comes off as a company that doesn’t know what they’re doing.
I hope these are popular enough that they make a reboot or a live action movie
I can't seem to attach the wings for mine. Not an issue I had with Thailog or Demona's figures.

Hello what would be the best stand to use with this guy? Anything besides the usual round black base with the peg in the bottom because those dont tend to work very well with a big figure like him any suggestions
is the figure 7 inch or 6 inch scale ? does he fit with the NECA Cartoon TMNT ?
It would’ve been better if the wings were like the tails
Nice review sir, glad I found this channel. Any recomendations on what stand to use for him? Most of what I collect is statues so I have no idea of what to use but I couldnt pass on a gargoyles anything!

A doll stand might be great for em, recommend something very strong and sturdy to keep Goliath sitting pretty atop castle wyvern!

Perfect detail. Animated look would have been boring to me. Scales great with 6" figures. McFarlane stuff is big enough to be Gargoyles themselves. No bueno.
Nice looking figure, sad about the potential for breaking wings. would still like to grab one.
Cool figure. I collect on a budget and I actually had to make a decision between Goliath and Franken Berry. I went with Franken Berry, which is shipping soon. I hope it's just as cool.
