Yeah, it looks like they give writing script to some goofy, sweet girls that are here only to boost DEI statistics, but they dont know anything about world design and fantasy at all. Also they just added music that they like, not that who actually would fits the world.

I don't understand. How is every AAA developer so disconnected from what the people want in a game? Are they focusing on the wrong thing or just planning for 10 minutes before they run with it? Game and movie studios seem to be making things for themselves lately rather than the public.

In the last few years we've gotten Baldur's Gate 3, a D&D movie, Dragon's Dogma, House of the Dragon, countless examples of fantasy media...And this...This is the best that EA could do. It's just...So lifeless. Comparable to Concord, now that I think about it.

Based on playing the mage origin it didn’t seem that bad just going into the fade as long as you’re not tricked by the demons but when the fade starts entering reality then things get fucked up

Felt like you were in a dream with all the fog, not really understanding what's happening. And all the lore behind it. Its horribly dangerous. Then DAI decides to add a GREEEEEEEN color scheme to the fade and veil. Make it almost cartoony rather than what it is...the dream/nightmare world with a vague connection to both the darkspawn, the maker, and the elven gods. Its not hell or something. Yeah the circle of Magi location in the game was bad game design wise, turned into a bad puzzle/metroidvania game...but the mage ORIGIN was bloody fantastic. And having all your companions becoming trapped by their own trauma in a perfect world dream, having to save them. THAT is the fade. DAI also forgot all the trickster aspect of the fade. Most of the demons want to trick you not instantly attack you. Or feed on you in some way. Not just mindlessly attack you.
Solas was right, it's too painful to walk in a world like this.

Sooo the inquisitor and crew, potentially including Hawke and HOF, who have direct conflict with the dreadwolf himself are NOT the crew Varric needs to save the world and instead it's a bunch of randoms, himself, Harding and someone they met in a bar fight that are the perfect crew? or does Varric overcome his old man brain and remember they already have the perfect team ready to go and just need to replenish their numbers, cos depending on some choices you get Cassandra and her rebuilt seekers, Bull and his chargers that might have expanded their numbers, Dorian with his growing sect in Tevinter, Viviene and the loyalist mages she collected, Sara and the jennies on top of whoever you made divine.
I’m really hoping the person under the hood and mask is The Warden. It would make sense that they didn’t show their face since it’s a custom character. That’s my hope anyway. 😅

Origins was a masterpiece, DA2 switched it up and wasn’t bad, but hardly great and Inquisition was hardly recognizable as part of the series.

At this point it's not that they forgot Origins is where it all started and peaked, they're actively trying to go against it

BG3 feels more like a sequel to DA Origins than the actual sequels
I'll be honest: I agreed but then I watched the DA: Inquisition trailer and it's the same. Bad CGI characters, action sequences, and it even has a song, too.
They are doing exactly what 343i did with Halo. Completely disregarding everything built before. The difference is that DA is still being made by the same company as before. I believe none of the DA: O devs are left however. Damn. I really hope the gameplay tomorrow can fix this.

In the last few years we've gotten Baldur's Gate 3, a D&D movie, Dragon's Dogma, House of the Dragon, countless examples of fantasy media...And this...This is the best that EA could do. It's just...So lifeless. Comparable to Concord, now that I think about it.

Based on playing the mage origin it didn’t seem that bad just going into the fade as long as you’re not tricked by the demons but when the fade starts entering reality then things get fucked up
@@23TheOneAndOnly23that was the gameplay, it was VERY concerting to BE in. Especially the haze and deep deep brown color filter. Felt like you were in a dream with all the fog, not really understanding what's happening. And all the lore behind it. Its horribly dangerous. Then DAI decides to add a GREEEEEEEN color scheme to the fade and veil. Make it almost cartoony rather than what it is...the dream/nightmare world with a vague connection to both the darkspawn, the maker, and the elven gods. Its not hell or something.
Yeah the circle of Magi location in the game was bad game design wise, turned into a bad puzzle/metroidvania game...but the mage ORIGIN was bloody fantastic. And having all your companions becoming trapped by their own trauma in a perfect world dream, having to save them. THAT is the fade.
DAI also forgot all the trickster aspect of the fade. Most of the demons want to trick you not instantly attack you. Or feed on you in some way. Not just mindlessly attack you.
@@tidus94 Tbf, the PC gets plot armor against demons in all of the games. Most NPCs just get entranced by demons, including your party members.
