Feels like I’m watching the Victory DVD that came with the Hawthorne Heights record I bought in seventh grade, and got exposed to hardcore for the first time. I’m with it. 😎
Best hardcore LP for me this year, this is really a much, much improved version of their previous album, which I always found frustratingly bland, sound and vocal-wise. That was a shame because their live set were fucking great, I'm really happy to finally be able to listen to a studio version of Magnitude that do them justice. Even the cover is quite harmonious and pleasant to the eye, that's rare by hardcore standard imo. I'm curious about what will be their next step, because I don't see how they can improve much from Of Days Renewed if they stay on the same path. For me this is really the culmination of this style of hardocre.
