The description of NGLA & EGLA is mentioned in IEC 60099 as Non gapped line arrester and External gapped line arrester. This is wrongly mentioned as Non gapped lightning arrester and External gapped lightning arrester. Once again, correct description is, NGLA - Non gapped line arrester and EGLA - External gapped line arrester Sorry for the inconvenience.
Good insights on two types of line arrester! In this video, you mentioned about positioning of line arresters on a tower. So if possible, can you please make a video explaining some case studies or online data on what are the different parameters to consider while positioning of arrester on tower? Thanks!
That can be done. Are you asking on individual capacity or on behalf of some organization? If it is request from organization then it will chargeable basis.
@@surgepulse2778 It's an individual capacity only. I just want to understand the methodology as there is huge boost in energy from renewable sources getting pumped into the grid and it's not logical and cost effective if arresters are mounted at each phase to sustain the reliability of line.
