I watched this film a few days ago. I loved it so much I went back to see it two nights later, something I have never done before. Yuri, the main character's, fate and the fate of the block of flats mirror each other and this comes together wonderfully in a scene of magical realism at the end of the film and it's breathtaking and heartbreaking at the same time, one of the most outstanding moments in any film I have seen over the last 20 years.
It really is a special film. Shame it isn't getting much love across the board.
@@dionwynhughes It got a review in The Times I think and it's showing at the QFT in Belfast but there's not many reviews for it on Rotten Tomatoes which suggests it's not being shown in many theatres. Disappointing, as it deserves to be seen.
