What is crazy is not that the composer of Prince of Egypt (Hans Zimmer) used 瑶族舞曲, it is that he borrowed a CHINESE melody for an animation called Prince of EGYPT. If the movie was even remotely about China, it would have been fine.

My teacher used to play this song when I was so impressed that I try to imitate as a beginner. 8 years later, I joined a local Chinese Orchestra and have a chance to take part in playing (as Gaohu) the version you are hearing. I was so glad and thrilled. Thank you for the composer. You've inspired me for my interests in Chinese music for the past 25 years.
The orchestra really brought out the spirit of the song, though it was played slower than the version our school played. AHHH when can we ever play the song so well? *_*
