Brigantine Neptun: The Journey So Far 2025

The story of Sailing Vessel Neptun is an incredible story of how a couple of young Danish sailors Anders Bischoff and Tobias Ovesen bought a 1940s Schooner and have successfully turned it into a community of like-minded souls who are circumnavigating the world.
The not-for-profit ethos is simply to enable everybody the chance to see remote and beautiful parts of the world affordably while keeping the craftsmanship and skills of sailing traditional vessels alive.
This video made by British journalist, film maker and sailor Jake Bowers charts the projects from Marstal in Denmark to Mazatlan in Mexico. Our next video will look at why they've decided to turn the ship from a staysail Schooner into a Brigantine.
