Refining has never been as profitable as it is now after the lands awakened update has completely shaken up the economy and resource prices. A lot of people have been asking for a simpler guide on what to do to start profiting off of low tier refining in Albion Online

Thanks man, hopefully you get as deep into refining as the others on the channel :) It is great to watch the silver increase. Most of us take about a month to reach our first 100m for a mammoth. Be sure to let me know when you do the same!

Some areas sell it cheaper. There's a site you can check resource prices for all cities. Buy it at the cheapest one, then refine in the one where the refined product sells for more.

Prices change so often that I can't really give an accurate number. Just make sure you learn how to use albion2d as a calculator and you will always be able to find the profitable price for yourself
Thanks. I'm extremely confused though. So you buy order a large amount of ingredients at a low price. Then transport it to Lym for the cloth refining bonus? Then do sell orders for all of it?

I always watching the market through 3rd party tools and I always do the buy order at the middle prices (depends on the buy & sell ratio).
Can you tell what tool do you use to see the prices?
So which things should I look into if I were to do this with hides? Like what should I know to understand the best places to transport and refine it for most profit
If you only have an ox to transport I would stick to buying the raw materials only 1 city away, for example hide in BW. Without a mammoth two city trips really bite into your hourly profit since you can haul so little. Refining in Martlock and sell in Martlock and repeat. Just make sure you know how to use a refining calculator and have made sure that you will make silver before attempting it
Best place to sell cloth?
Once I have enough silver I'll make a lot of islands and do both crafting and cooking from the produce of my farms. I think I'll take it up to 20 million a day. But I have to get a mammoth first that's goal #1.

My places tax says that it charges per 100 consumed, how do i turn that into percentage?

Did you buy the cloth or did you buy the cotton and refine that to?
I typically just buy the t2 cloth outright, not really worth the extra time it would take you to transport the t2 fiber for how little profit you will get. Stick to transporting the t3 and t4 fiber which is actually worth something and just buy the t2 cloth in lym

When refining T3 you want to stick to the resource that has the highest plot taxes in the city. It sounds like you would want to look for the cheapest tax, but the higher the tax the more people that are forced into using focus points to actually profit off the higher tiers. This leads to larger margins for the lower tiers, example T3 and T4. But because no one uses focus points on the lower tier resources, that gives people like us the opportunity to profit using non-focus refining methods such as this video.

Potentially but on an ox it's not worth making that trip for an extra 50-100k silver
Also the point that people, who buy a lot of materials, know where to buy them cheap, and they have they own mamonts. So even if u sell the refined cheaper, u will able to sell like 20 stacks a day, when that 20 stacks in Thetford will stuck for a week. Also that trip back u can swap for a new trip and make more refined.
does this stil work and without premium will the market taxes affect this a lot?
I did the math, it's literally not cost effective at low amounts. Most of the time, you'll just get burned.

Ok, i took all prices from this video and made math: 2x Flax T3 was bought for 2x39=78, 1x Cloth T2 was bought for 19, total 97 + refining cost(16)=113. Cloth T3 was sold for 108-112. So all the profit should come from refining return rate only?
You won't find anything worth refining or crafting that is worth more than all the materials combined
Return rate is 37%
What made you chose fiber? Eny t3 refining works?
I recommend refining whichever T3 has the highest plot taxes. That's why I did Fiber, as cloth is close to 40% plot taxes at the moment

No it sells fine. I typically sell 300m or so per day in materials
Great video - but doesnt seem to work now, Spent the last hour doing this bought the mount, thetford>lymhurst runs. made a total of 49,700 profit,. on a MIl and an hour. Prices have obviously changed.
Did you have associate rate on the plot when you did it?
@@DoublebacknvAlbion likely,no. As a new er player I do not even know what that is. The video seems to be aimed at newer players who don't know these methods, who can only afford t3 etc. So maybe there was key info missing ? Either way even if refining was free it would of say got me another 80k. Just shy of 150k for 90mimutes doesn't seems great.

Problem I have is I only have about an hour and 30 minutes to play each day so most of that is dungeon runs to fill enough t5 journals to fill 3 or 4 islands with merc laborers which also net me about 200k not counting dungeon loot. Then I farm 2 personal islands and make about 250k with farming. After dungeon loot lets say about 150k average. Then faction points I get enough for 2 hearts so another 80k. I know its not the best way of making silver but at least I get to earn fame and level my character specs! I do this all in save zones so I dont have to be so stressed about losing gear and stuff. I dont have the time to play stressful lol. If anyone has any better way of making silver that involves dugeons or PVE then let me know. So far I find that I enjoy doing this rather than transports.

Ok, total newb question here, but why are you buying flax from one town and hauling it to another? Why don't you just refine the flax in the same town and sell it?
Supply/Demand issue. It takes less time if you buy it in the same town so the demand is higher, making the price higher. In some cases you can spend as much as 40-50% less just by hauling it from a distant town for an extra 20 minutes of work
@@DoublebacknvAlbion I'm guessing you need to know what the going prices are then in the other towns. Maybe by using multiple characters? I'd hate to travel far away just to find out the cost is about the same or higher even.
@@krisbeal8173 just empty all your gear and stuff in the bank and fast travel to other cities to check the price the fast travel cost is free when you don't have anything on you

Its the exact same for every resource, just have to buy from different cities depending on which resource you're refining

Yeah I just don't have the motivation to go out and get a t7 fiber backpack for my trips. Most likely going to start paying people to get the transporting done for me. For new players I 100% recommend do not start transporting until you have gone out and gotten yourself a t4 gathering backpack

now imagine u are going corrupted dungeons with chepest build possible 100-200k u can get those 2m in just the first half an hour....or even better going open world....

U can't anymore, as an experienced corrupted rat that used to make 4-5m per hour I am most definitely sure you can't. I tested slayer for half an hour with a super fast clear build and I got like 300k during non-prime time
Ratting slayer dungeons is at best 1-2m per hour if you get lucky after the new update

You can when you're higher tier and by doing this his refining level got up and he can do higher tier refining and can get more profit
