- Your choices, your actions, that’s what makes you who you are. #Superman - Only In Theaters and @Imax July 11
“Superman,” DC Studios’ first feature film to hit the big screen, is set to soar into theaters worldwide this summer from Warner Bros. Pictures. In his signature style, James Gunn takes on the original superhero in the newly imagined DC universe with a singular blend of epic action, humor and heart, delivering a Superman who’s driven by compassion and an inherent belief in the goodness of humankind.
DC Studios heads Peter Safran and Gunn are producing the film, which Gunn directs from his own screenplay, based on characters from DC, Superman created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster.
The film stars David Corenswet (“Twisters,” “Hollywood”) in the dual role of Superman/Clark Kent, Rachel Brosnahan (“The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel”) as Lois Lane and Nicholas Hoult (the “X-Men” movies, “Juror #2”) as Lex Luthor. The film also stars Edi Gathegi (“For All Mankind”), Anthony Carrigan (“Barry,” “Gotham”), Nathan Fillion (the “Guardians of the Galaxy” films, “The Suicide Squad”), Isabela Merced (“Alien Romulus”), Skyler Gisondo (“Licorice Pizza,” “Booksmart”), Sara Sampaio (“At Midnight”), María Gabriela de Faría (“The Moodys”), Wendell Pierce (“Selma,” “Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan”), Alan Tudyk (“Andor”), Pruitt Taylor Vince (“Bird Box”) and Neva Howell (“Greedy People”).
“Superman” is executive produced by Nikolas Korda, Chantal Nong Vo and Lars Winther. Behind the camera, Gunn is joined by frequent collaborators, including director of photography Henry Braham, production designer Beth Mickle, costume designer Judianna Makovsky and composer John Murphy, along with composer David Fleming (“The Last of Us”) and editors William Hoy (“The Batman”) and Craig Alpert (“Deadpool 2,” “Blue Beetle”).
DC Studios Presents a Troll Court Entertainment/The Safran Company Production, A James Gunn Film, “Superman,” which will be in theaters and IMAX® nationwide on July 11, 2025, and internationally beginning 9 July 2025, distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures.

"Kindness in a world where kindness is considered old fashioned" Love it!
10/10⭐
These days, it’s counterculture to NOT be a nihilistic, edgy, snarky doom and glooming a-hole.
Superhero movies are for kids.
@dumbreaperalts Then we are all kids
@dumbreaperaltsAnd?
Guy Gardner giving giant backhand with the flick of his wrist is very Guy Gardner
Nobody wanted to see him
Nation Fillion as Guy Gardner is the perfect casting that I did not know we needed.
@HalaMadrid-qy7rkI did lol
@HalaMadrid-qy7rk Snyderbot detected. Opinion rejected
@HalaMadrid-qy7rk you definitely do not speak for everyone
how he changed his voice from Clark Kent to Superman during the interview.... that's awesome...
Bro got that DC animated voice edition switched on.
lol so you’re saying you can’t change your voice?
Nobody cares
@HalaMadrid-qy7rk Why reply then? Why are you even reading the comments?
I know, right?! like... if he were an actor... mind blowing!
I left the movie theater smiling fr
Same give me hope
This is joke
Very mid movie 🤣
@ItsMeeDylannnn cool story bro, don’t care tho
I’m a punk rocker yes I am 🦸🏻♂️✊🏻
it was so good
“I wasn’t representing anyone but Me and doing good” is the most Superman thing to say
Yeah but not in a whiny way
yeah, they heard our TikTok roast lol
@psychoapplesauceeater8562 Id get angry too, especially after the "without thinking about the consequences" cause the real consequence would be more needless bloodshed, a prolonged war, and more innocent lives lost. Hes rightfully angry
@psychoapplesauceeater8562 wdym? He has emotions too, he's not a robot. Way to go captain obvious.
@psychoapplesauceeater8562
Yeah but he’s justified nonetheless.
In a world full of Viltrumites, be a Superman
❤
Invincible would probably approve of this
Or be an [Title Card]
And never go full Homelander
His tone and yelling felt very "THINK!!!"
“Did you consult the president”, and then the cut to Luther is awesome
FORESHADOWING!
@louisduarte8763or is he president?
Also it appears that Rick Flag Sr. is the Secretary of Defense from the similar cut
Yeah, I'm thinking they might be doing the President Luthor thing! That sure seems to be what they're alluding to!!
@Strict2core Now that just gave me an idea for a modern-day Sgt. Rock. Maybe he got promoted to General by now.
It was everything I hoped but didnt dare expect. A return to uplifting movies that made you glad you went to see it at the theater. My wife and I loved it, and she hates everything.
OMG I felt the same way! I missed movies like that so much! ❤
Hahaha and she hates everything, that's so cute
Is your wife's name Mikey? Because Mikey hates everything.
Your wife sounds like a smart woman. There's good reason to hate everything these days.
SPOILER WARNING
Edit: Apparently your wife is amateurish in her hating. I just downloaded the thing on HER luke warm recommendation, I'm five minutes in, and I already hate it. Made up countries, the stupidest dog that ever lived, and robots that contradict each other from one line to the next, and give eye-rollingly clumsy exposition.
The only thing I don't hate so far is the choice of an in medias res opening scene and the human portrayal of Supes by this new actor I've never seen before. (I'm old and have hated everything for a good long while - pop culture whizzes by unnoticed these days while I grind my teeth and shake my fist at world events.)
I'm gonna watch a bit more and see if it manages to be more engaging than annoying.
Edit 2:
11 minutes in. Exposition continues to be unbearably cringy, and somehow Superman is getting his butt kicked by what appears to be a robot being given verbal instructions by a man looking out of a window, so clearly we just don't care about internal logic and plausibility AT ALL, but Supes IS at least likeable. That is the ONLY saving grace so far. This is honestly kind of painful.
Edit 3:
27 minutes in (post interview). Clark Kent can't remember what "on the record" means and can't stay in character as Superman for ten seconds put together. About as "media savvy" as a middle-schooler. It dawns on me that maybe adults aren't this movie's target audience and I'm adjusting my expectations accordingly,, but even so, this is pretty bad.
Still likeable, though. Lois too. The Kents are adorable, but in a cartoonishly exaggerated way. Sigh.
Edit 4: Why does Green Lantern look like he let a six-year-old cut his hair? Also, this is apparently a kids movie. That's not what the trailer or the opening scene led me to believe.
Final edit:
This movie was vapid and cringy and offensive (the baddies speaking real slavic languages, really? The fake victim country's population portrayed as dirty peasants? Gross.) All this thing has going for it is heart. Superman is well-cast and there are several likeable characters. That's it.
Bah.
I did sit through it on a Sunday morning. Had I known what to expect I might not even have been as annoyed at the annoyances, but I thought judging by the Tomatometer that this might be an actually good CBM. It's not. It's... watchable if you have two hours to kill.
Do I hate it? Yeah, kind of. I hate the wasted potential. The actor is good. They spent all this money. Would it have killed them to use those resources on a better screenplay with better dialogue?
Hates everything? So she hates you? Glad she enjoyed the movie.
Stopping wars and killings in the world regardless of politics and with no interest other than "doing good" is such a Superman thing to do. I'm glad they chose to explore that side of his character.
In the comics he actually ended up renouncing his U.S. citizenship to avoid this sort of thing so I wonder if he’ll do that in this movie
Probably the best way to write Superman tbh, having him binded to the U.S is such a stupid things consider what the U.S actually does
@jslberto I seem to remember People Hating that Story.
@ well, as usual with comic fandom that fake outrage lasted about ten minutes before it vanished and no one cared.
@Fenris30 And? Everyone hated when Marvel made One More Day for Spider-Man, and they adapted that into No Way Home, which many people loved that movie. So just because everyone hated it in comic form does not mean they're gonna hate it in movie form.
I liked the shot where a civilian helps superman get up. The people are there for him when needed
Reminded me of that moment in Spider-Man 2, I love that. ❤
Prepare to be disappointed
only you
The world needed a superhero, it gots Superman. 🥹
@dumbreaperalts shut up Snyder Cultist
“I cleaned your boots. I’ll go get them for you.” Why did that line hit me so hard?
Lara Croft Vs Helena Douglas from Kosmic the RUclipsr is Absolutely Amazing and Incredible! It's simply Surreal and Beautiful!💗💖🥰😎🩷😍🎉💝😊🌹🤩💓💐😃❤️💕
That's the real Ma Kent right there lol
Because the Ma and Pa Kent here feel so much like the parents he's supposed to have, unlike in the Snyder versions (which I happen to like for what they are).
Because is MAMA KENT!
Superhero movie are for kids dummy.
Superman is not an American superhero, he is a true superhero.
the change in his voice from ¨yea sure¨ to ¨ms lane¨ love it haha
🥰😍💗
When you talk to your homies vs when you talk to your crush
same.
The sentence has several grammatical errors, which are outlined below in paragraph form:
First, the sentence lacks proper capitalization at the beginning and for proper nouns. "The" should be capitalized as it begins the sentence, and "Ms. Lane" should be capitalized and punctuated correctly, since "Ms." is a title and "Lane" is a proper noun.
Second, the sentence is missing punctuation. There is no period at the end, making the sentence incomplete. Additionally, quotation marks are used inconsistently-there is an opening quotation mark before "yea sure" but no corresponding closing quotation mark for the quoted phrases. Proper punctuation and closing quotation marks are necessary for clarity.
Third, the sentence is missing context or structure that makes it a complete thought. It reads more like a fragment or a note than a full sentence. To be grammatically correct, it should be restructured to clearly indicate what is being observed or stated.
Lastly, “yea” should be spelled “yeah” for standard usage, unless intentional informal speech is being quoted.
A corrected version might be:
**"The change in his voice from 'Yeah, sure' to 'Ms. Lane, love it! Haha.' was noticeable."**
@lifeofhodgesThere are several grammar errors in your sentence. First, it is a sentence fragment-it sets up a comparison but doesn’t complete the thought. Second, “vs” is informal and should be replaced with “versus” or rephrased entirely in full sentences. Third, the structure lacks a main verb or conclusion, making it unclear. A corrected version could be: **"How you talk to your homies versus how you talk to your crush shows the difference in comfort."**
The frustration he felt from being questioned about being a good person.
cuz twitter
Yeah, I felt that hard. "But it's more complicated than that!" No, it really isn't. Stopping a war and preventing innocent people from dying is never the wrong thing.
Whether he's truly a "good person" is debatable. As an alien raised with human values, his definition of "good" is filtered through that lens. While he undeniably saves lives, government scrutiny arises from the collateral damage they believe could be minimized with more strategic planning.
@rottensquid This just proves that wars are all about of money! So the elites make sure to place Superman in a bad light due to stopping the money flow!
@viczav Yes, the government is the good man
In this age, it's funny how the classic rendition of the Superman, filled with hope, standing by his morals before anything else feels like something "new". It's exactly what we need in this cynical age. Hope and good will will never go out of fashion.
It's very inspiring. We all want to believe there's someone out there like Superman. That wide-eyed, childlike hope that someone is trying their best to protect people simply because it's the right thing to do.
Exactly that's why He is called Symbol of Hope. Everyone are already tired of hero acting like Villian. We need real hero like Superman
Not sure I like the abreviated/partial S on his chest?
Its not cynism its realism. Life sucks. The wealth gap is larger than ever before. Living is misery
hope will always be NEW; as it is something so rare
I felt that short conversation between Jonathan and superman is very touching. That father is a great actor. ""Your choices, your actios..."
Genuinely one of my favourite parts of the film
This scene was the only thing about the entire movie that I liked.
Shitest superman movie ever made.. dc stop making my childhood trash with ur movie
This is the first time seeing superman without increasing my mobile's brightness 🙏
Yes it's too bright and thank god for it. There's been too much dark and gloominess in previous few superman movies. This one's better.
Good!
I see what u did there. Zack sydner tried to copy the Nolan Batman and thought it would work
I don't know man. I saw this movie and it's not that bad. But when I rewatch the Man of Steel, it still gives goosebumps. It's just too epic
Yea but the dark tones of Man of Steel were necessary. In each of the Cavill Superman roles, he wasn't just fighting for earth. Each situation was a universal threat, from Zod and another bunch pissed off Kryptonians, Lex and Doomsday, to Stepphenwolf and Darkseid. Cavill was the Brawling Superman. Now this new, gets more back to the classic feel of Supes, but I guarantee you, if they introduce Zod, they're gonna have to tone down the brightness whether it's on screen or within Supes character. Both versions of Zod on film had to be Killed.
It must be such an honor to be asked to play Superman. That music. Lord.
True story
Back when there was no DEI, CRT, BLM crime. Now there’s this “me too” version, ugh.
There are some who would dispute that, but it doesn't matter. Playing a hero who represents good should always be considered an honor. Also, the theme might be tweaked some, but you know it's the Superman theme. Awesome.
Your literally retarded. White you just want to say the n word lol. News flash bud. Whites are also a minority and every other minority on earth is tired of you..
@tropicthndr Superman has always represented the beaten and downtrodden regardless of their skin color, nationality, heritage, culture, religion
I like how they never show the title, only the logo. They're like, "You're not stupid. You know who this is."
Ngl, I really want to see the Superman text logo 😅
dark wing duck?
@EkleipsiGret we already saw it
Just like batman the animated series, it doesn't say batman in the opening credits
@votpavel I am the hero that soars through the air, I am the thorn in the side of evil, I am Superman!
Kindness Is The Real Punk Rock.
This is so true.
THE WAY HE SOUNDS AS CLARK IS SO ADORABLE
Mans switching his puberty in and off with his voice lol
We don’t want superman to be adorable he is supposed to shut up and fight
@HalaMadrid-qy7rkno but ok
@HalaMadrid-qy7rkcertainly not.
@HalaMadrid-qy7rkSnydercuck
The voice change is SO GOOD
Oh man, that "Ms Lane" was 🤌🏻plus that immediate change in posture from closed off to open and taking up more space.
You’re so right
frrrrrrrrr!!!!
Superman has a work voice!
He nailed the transition between dorky Kansas farmboy and Kryptonian symbol of hope so well.
What I love the most is how it showed the people angry at him, throwing a bottle, screaming at him, then later as hes on the street a random civilian comes to help him, this is completely dangerous, if superman of all people is like that, but he doesn't care, he's there to help the person who has done nothing but help others
His heroism and kind heart really DOES know no bounds.😊
@jasonharris3502 God, do we ever need something like that in today's world
I saw that too! Honestly, I've not seen that since Sam Raimi's Spider-Man movies: PEOPLE helping Superman. It grounds him in a very real, strong way.
@BigWired ok wow that really hit me where I live.
As if Zack Snyder hadn’t done these already? 🤡
This is one of the few times I'm actually interested in watching a Super Hero film.
Same bro, glory to Palestine
0:18 That’s a nice call back as that’s exactly what Christopher did his voice would actually be higher in octaves when he’s in the Clark persona and lower octaves in the Superman persona nice touch David
Kevin Conroy also did that when he was batman
@ yeah!
@ItsReidgdyeah I remember in the TAS & JL/JLU series. It’s such a nice little way of conveying that it’s not just a look it’s that entire act they have to build
His shrug and "Uuugh" is a such a Clark thing from the comics 😊 at 0:55 when Lois questions him
Reminds me of "The Batman" the series from 2004! Bruce always sounded so polite then he puts on the cowl and is all gruff and ruff haha. Scenes, and lines with voice changes like that always remind me of the audio and it's like "Mew, I told you we needed more glitter."
This might be what DC needed. No more origin stories. Just stories.
The trailer looks awful my guy. Very vanilla
@entrenchgamer I agree, i dont think it can be better than Man of Steel (2013)
@entrenchgamerjudging a movie from the trailer isn’t the best thing
@entrenchgamerL take
@entrenchgamerit literally looks like it was shot in the same style as gotg 3
HE SOUNDS JUST LIKE THE ANIMATED VERSION OF SUPES IM SO IN ON THIS
I’ve been tryna tell people that David Corenswet has a DEEPER voice than Henry Cavill. Also David is taller than Henry. Davis is meant for this role.
i heard hints of tim daly in his voice, too!
@youin24years yup
Literally the big blue
Ngl Superhero movies are childish.
@dumbreaperalts Yet you're here
I cried multiple times in the movie in the cinema hall. While everything around me, politically and socially, has felt bleak for the past 3-4 years, Superman really gave me hope and also reminded me of being a kind, honest, good human who has to push for a better tomorrow just because it's the right thing to do for my own good and people/animals around me. The movie has a few issues, but is a solid 4/5. Amazing work done by Gunn and his team.
It's a solid 1/5 instead 😮
i cried too so much
@KimmelSlavkoyou must have watched Fast and the Furious instead then buddy
@KimmelSlavko the fact that you read this touching and very vulnerable comment from another human being and this was your response is quite telling of the sort of miserable person you are.
@steveturner411 I have never lost my time watching those ones 😮.
That " Miss Lane " was so perfect. The eyes up scene showed another level of Sups. Gotta watch this.
Reminds me of Christopher Reeve's original screen test. "Good evening, Ms. Lane" ^^
Yes exactly! Very nostalgic @OthaBland
There is something about this movie...the trailers...that just...make me smile while watching it all.
Lara Croft Vs Helena Douglas from Kosmic the RUclipsr is Absolutely Brilliant and Wonderful!🌹💐💝🤩🎉😊😎❤️💖🩷👍🥰💕💗😃💓😄😍
Same here
Same same
Chills. Literal chills.
I know right
“I wasnt representing anyone except for me and doing good.”
This is why Superman is the greatest superhero ever. He’s just good. The ultimate good. Batman, Iron man and all the other bunch of heroes are what we can be.
Superman, is what we aspire to be.
EXACTLY
Keep telling yourself that.
That's a nice to way to put things
That's a very good point !
Well he's the only superhero that pretend to be a regular person.
David Corenswet brought back the soul of Superman
Really very bad casting of the actor, I think.
@josipkolanda9192They should have picked you for the role then! Sad 🤡
Interviewer: You illegally entered a country
Superman: Stops war, pets dog, forgets passport
Straight to jail!
How dare he😂
I love the voice change when he switches to Superman
Who doesn't like a man with a deep voice. ❤
Yeah. Christopher Reeve defined the approach, but this guy is looking like he gets it.
I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say there isn't a voice change, but there's a difference in line reading. His voice is higher pitched initially ("Yeah", "Sure") because he's nervous, trying to remain casual when he knows how important this moment is. But while he definitely becomes more serious with the "Ms. Lane" line read, it's not significantly different as a voice. That said, I'm sure he'll nail the Clark Kent/Superman differences. I mean the hair and glasses alone. :)
“Ms.Lane”
I kinda got emotional hearing his Dad tell him that his actions determine who he is because it reminded me of my father who passed away in 2020 and I miss him.
RIP to ya wonderful Pop 🙏
May the earth lie lightly on him. Hugs from Brasil.
Im sorry for your loss, I too loss my dad so when I read your comment it reminded me of him
Sorry for your loss.
God bless you my friend
People do critics said too politic, But isnt it what superhero for? To help humanity Not just focus on love story or fight an alien
The guy helping Superman outta of crater gives so much life and charm I love it
😂
Spider-Man helpful new yorker vibes.
It was this kin dof kindness that was completely devoid in the Snyder films, which was so disappointing. Loved Cavill, hated Snyder's depiction of the character.
I can't believe of all the grammar mistakes packed into one sentence. First, “a in Superman Returns” is clearly a typo and should be “as in *Superman Returns*.” Second, the sentence is clunky and confusing because of poor punctuation and word order-quotation marks are used, but the dialogue inside them isn’t punctuated properly. “Really? Never?” should each be treated as separate questions with the correct punctuation. Third, the sentence lacks flow-“His voice when he said ‘sure’ during the interview, sounds like…” is awkward and could be smoothed out by restructuring. A corrected version might be: **"I swear, his voice when he said 'sure' during the interview sounded just like Brandon Routh in *Superman Returns* when he said, 'Really? Never?'"**
@Billy-bc8pkWow, it’s almost impressive how many grammar slip-ups made it into such a short rant. First, “kin dof” is a clear typo and should be “kind of.” Second, “that was completely devoid” is incorrect-“devoid” is usually followed by *of* something (e.g., “devoid of kindness”), so it should be rephrased. Third, the second sentence is a fragment-“Loved Cavill, hated Snyder’s depiction of the character”-which is fine in casual speech, but not grammatically complete. For clarity and correctness, a revised version might be: **"It was this kind of kindness that was completely missing from the Snyder films, which was so disappointing. I loved Cavill, but I hated Snyder’s depiction of the character."**
Something about Superman just never fails to get me to cry, he's a beautiful character.
Me too. I'm in tears right now!
yea ur not straight
😢 Yes
@stellar476yea you wouldnt say this to anyones face in real life. Go back to playing Fortnite like a good lil boy.
@stellar476 🤡
The voice change is absolutely awesome. I hope the movie is really good
The voice change makes him a liar
@dignerds the what? Technically hes literally a liar in every superman comic or series by keeping his identity secret
@dignerds it's called a secret identity.
@dignerdsgood troll , troll 🧌
@dignerds 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Trolly troll has trolled. You big silly.
Coming back to watch a trailer after you've watched the movie is a cool feeling. This movie is amazing from every act beginning to end. The casting, action, characters, and especially the music are incredible. This is a heroic Superman that DC needs to revive the hype. James Gunn has a bright vision and this movie is only the start. I can't wait to see David Corenswet in more projects donning the red cape and S. He really feels like the symbol of hope in this movie.
That drum beat that started playing and intensifying during the interview with Lois... CHILLS
same
Reminds of the track Terraforming from the Man of Steel soundtrack
That was cool
It's the build up at the beginning of the Superman march but done with percussion rather than strings. Sounds awesome.
@downhill42nah it’s better lol
This film shows being a superman isn’t about the power but it’s a good heart
supermans always been a no-borders good-heart sort of person, no? unlike batman
Idk but I know this Superman would get spanked in the mcu.
Thank you bot, this whole comment section is filled with bots creating fake hype for another boring hollow CG movie
@LSLS1 Did you watch it?
I thought it was surprisingly fun. Little bit heavy on the goofy comedy but couple darker scenes balanced it out.
@tjontario Just ignore that comment ❤
Superman getting so emotional about being questioned for saving people is so well done. This is the Superman i’ve been waiting for.
And one of the reasons he is getting so emotional isn't just because of the topic, but because it's Lois. The one person who can get past any and all defenses he has. Yes, he knows she's acting in the role of a reporter, but it still hurts a little to have her ask those specific questions.
its such a cool scene where he knows hes doing Good and people are questioning him why he didn't fill out the proper forms and get the Go Ahead as if he a Govt employee.
Superman was more stoic in comics but James Gun thinks that's boring
Didnt like it. Sounds like a boring teenager
@HistoriaenCeluloide Well, He's also the type of Guy to go across the Universe to save a single Girl. And he's just confused on why people are questioning him for doing good.
This is one of the best superhero movies I've seen ... ever. It clicked. It worked. Great movie.
Great start to the DCU
When he said "doing good"
It really just reminded me of "You're doing well. SUPERMAN does good."
"You need to study your grammar- SON."
Love Ryan George
@thed0nz Dang ... beat me to it !
❤
weird al
I love how every single trailer we have gotten more and more of the classic John Williams theme, now in this final trailer we have the full theme and it makes me so happy that James Gunn really respects any franchise he works on. Bravo Gunn
It's going to be the main theme, we all know it. I hope Gunn started the film with the Girl reading the comic book again too!
♥️
The John Williams music defines the first generation of Superman movies. Christopher Reeves believed in the character and cherished what the Superman mythos stood for. So far it looks like James Gunn also loves the character.
I respect it even more realizing Christopher Reeves own son is that News Guy at 2:26
They can give us the exact same John Williams music from the Reeves movies. This is not Superman. This is some Disney Marvel trash. Superman is not like this anymore and has not been since before the 1985 reboot which it needed to save the dying comic because no one was reading it nor had been for over a decade. Boy-Scout Superman is trash.
As a native Clevelander, I love how much of my hometown I can recognize in this trailer. The Terminal Tower, Public Square, Progressive Field, the Arcade… the list goes on. Fitting, given that the character was created there. No matter why they decided to film there, kudos to Gunn and his team for how effectively it seems they’ve turned my city into Metropolis.
yeah, I’m impressed how much nicer it looks. I was there a few months ago. It didn’t look that nice 😂
Same here! I left Cleveland in 1984.
Was it shot in Cleveland? That's actually an inspired choice for Metropolis, both aesthetically and as a callback to the origins of the comic.
I love how there's so much "forgotten America" built into the tapestry of Superman, especially as a lifelong Kansan
Yes the creators were from Cleveland 😊
A trailer that gives away absolutely nothing about the movie but makes you want to go watch it. Best cinema experience I have had in 12 years.
it doesn't give anything away because there's no plot. its a mess
@IDAWG1946of course a snyderbot
@IDAWG1946You know what's really messy? You gobbling Zack Snyder's meat.
Did you ever get out of your room in the last 12 years? the film is barely a 4/10.
@samserious1337yes I was with your mom in hers.
"Hey buddy, eyes up here" GOATED LINEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So GOATED!!!! 🗣️🗣️🔥🔥🔥
"It's a bird.
It's a plane.
It's SUPERMAN!"
Supershit
Lara Croft Vs Helena Douglas from Kosmic the RUclipsr is Absolutely Amazing and Lovely! It's simply Magnificent and Epic!💐💝😊😎🩷👍💗😃😍🌹🤩🎉❤️💖🥰💕💓😄
@Muleek.420 Nah this actually looks good no need for hate
NAH IT'S MAVERICK
@allansmith6012it’s look garbage
I absolutely love this take. He's just a guy with a good heart and unimaginable power. He's angry that saving lives is seen as a problem.
That seems like a good character arc for a young superman to face, as older Superman seems cool with the idea of people not accepting him or his actions, so seeing him learning to accept that should be very satisfying
Without having to stand in front of a tornado ✋🌪️
Just like in Batman V Superman.
That's not a take, that's Superman
@r.rodriguez4991 He's mad that he's on trial for saving lives
Best Superman movie, felt humanly for the first time. Nice job
Your Choices. Your Actions. That's what makes you who you are.😢 So true for all of us also.
Your choices... your actions. He never said beliefs.
@taked0wn127erase your comment. I fixed it. Thank you. Just for the record beliefs is part of that.
@taked0wn127I fixed it.
It's almost like "it's not who i am underneath, but what i do that defines me"
@chairmanm3owExactly.
"Hey buddy, eyes up here!" may be one of the most Superman lines ever!
I love how natural Clark feels here. It’s exactly like I’ve always seen him in my head.
Reminding gaza 😢while watching this movie
yes
I love the battle damage on his costume. It shows his opponents will be powerful enough to cause some serious pain.
I loved the exchanges between the two. Superman stuttering "and and and" makes it natural.
It's like Superman's Kryptonite isn't a green rock, but public speaking! Imagine Lois Lane yelling, "Clark, use your heat vision... or your elocution lessons! Which one will defeat Doomsday faster?!" He'd probably just mumble something about truth, justice, and the American... and... and... well, you know.
Beep, bop... I'm the Philosophy Bot. Here, have a quote:
"Each person is an enigma. You're a puzzle not only to yourself but also to everyone else, and the great mystery of our time is how we penetrate this puzzle."
~ Theodore Zeldin
Corenswet transition between Clark and Superman aura and voice is seamless and beautiful at fhe same time. He's really giving off Reeves vibes.
George Reeves didn't change his voice at all between Clark and Superman though.
@gothamite27 you know well he means christopher reeve
@SimonRiley752you would know
he posture was about the same. Reeve mastered the posture.
Henry cavil could do the same thing even better this wont be nearly as good as man of steel i wont be watching this no matter how many good reviews there
Man Of Steel - Injustice
Superman - All-Star Superman
💯
That's a bit inaccurate, as a reader myself.
Man Of Steel is more in line with Superman For Tomorrow by Brian Azzarello or Superman Earth One by JMS. They were the darker Superman stories, but they didn't go the full villainous route of Injustice. And Zack Snyder's Superman's no villain.
But, you're right. Gunn's Superman is All-Star. With a bit of For All Seasons by Jeph Loeb, Birthright by Mark Waid, and Up in the Sky by Tom King.
I can see that interview will be some of the best dialogue in the movie. Also she is very Lois from the comics coded, asking the hard hitting questions. I’m sold now on this movie fr now
Yeah agree it’s really engaging and the chemistry between David and Rachel as Clois is so amazing and they really feel like a loving couple.
@Ay3shizzleI prefer Larkerman.
@Biomaster09as in Clark and Lois’s ship name?
@refelicia824, YES!! i agree 100%. i really wasn't very interested in this movie but that interview scene completely sold me on this movie! i was 1000% on Superman's side during that interview too! lol.
I’m excited to see that scene, James said it’s they shot it almost 12 minutes long, and became one of the most important scenes in the movie
*“The person who helps others simply because it should or must be done, and because it is the right thing to do, is indeed without a doubt, a real superhero."*
- Stan Lee
Great quote
completely agree
Shame the guy was a thief and creep
Stan was, and always will be, "the Man"!
Stan Lee was corrupt AF.
1:10 this. This scene just shows super man and who he is and I LOVE IT!!!!!!! IM SO HYPED🙏🙏🙏🙏
Literally
This movie really captured the true spirit of Superman: hope, optimism, and kindness. It's so refreshing!
"Your choices, your actions. That's what makes you who you are"
That's such a dad's advice for their kid, and so in character for Mr. Kent to say to Clark.
And David's spectacular acting skills and his wide range of expression really add depth and contrast to Superman and Clark Kent's personality in this movie.
This might be the best Superman movie ever made, and I'm here as a witness of history being born.
I trust you, James Gunn!
July, I'm coming..!!!
I hope there isn’t too much of that Nolanesque “The hero, that Gotham, blah blah blah” dialogue in this 😂 That stuff wore really thin on me in The Dark Knight.
Actually paraphrasing Aristotle.
This trailer brings out a child-like excitement I didn't know I still had.
and Man of Steel didn't? You're a joke.
that's just pathetic
@erdalgjelstad5491 did he say he didn't? What kind of clown comment is this. The internet really is full POS like you.
Me too, Quinton!!! 👍🏻👍🏻
Exactly man, this is gonna be awesome
Ma Kent helping him with his suit and Pa giving him advice are what makes him Superman. Those two are the most important people of DC, thank you for having them
Superman’s parents made the right a coordinates on where Superman should land on. Because The Kents were the right choice.
So happy they're both alive this time around. It's so wonderful to see right out of the gate
💗
"I like your costume."
"Thank you. My mom made it."
Jonathan and Martha Kent are the greatest heroes in the history of comic books. Without them, Superman becomes Homelander.
I saw it last week and i want to see it again so bad 😭✋🏼
been a fan of superman since i was 4 im 24 now. hearing that iconic trumpet at 1:16 made me cry ngl
Same...
As if this doesn't appear in every single trailer?
@kauasoares7999there's 2 trailers. this one is the only one that uses a trumpet on it's own like that.
You’re gonna cry much more once you see how much this movie will be lame
@alanmlkbandacan’t say it’s lame when it hasn’t come out your just reading a book by it’s cover
Seeing someone going out of their way to help a hero get back up hit hard.
Seeing any reminder that we live in times where people still do want to help each other is what we need to remember these days when people are working so hard to make sure we dont believe in our ability to help one another.
Major Toby Maguire Spider-Man vibes!! So many movies seem to forget that a superhero is supposed to be saving people and how important those “citizens” actually are to the story.
Just as long as we make sure it's clear that it's a brown person helping him and an angry old white guy throwing stuff at him. Very important. Audiences need to be spoon-fed which skin colors are good and which one is bad.
got me teary eye watching that, i remember the last time i see the moment where our hero are so close to the people was in Raimi Spider-Man and then we never see something like that ever again, now they just making a lot of people running in the streets like a background and the heroes feel so far away from them, they do that over and over again
Stop watching the news and you’ll stop thinking the world is so evil
@frankf684 I see propaganda for what it is. This movie is not blessed just because it has positive Superman stuff happening in it.
Ma Kent looks and sounds a lot like my grandmother who died last year. She was an old girl from Kentucky who took care of her family, through so many ups and downs.
For this reason, and several others I'll enjoy alone in my own mind and not across an Internet comment section, I cannot wait to see this movie.
maybe you are superman
My condolences.
Your Grandma was AWESOME and you are so fortunate to have had her in your life so long.
Mu grandma also died lazt month and she was exactly like you described. I still eake up dreaming her. I am Still so upset
kapoya 😩
This movie is a certifed mood booster.
If you haven't seen it.
Go now.
This Superman is strong, based and cherfull.
Worst Superman movie I've ever seen.
@GhostHunter340 you mean Snyder superman sir
@Jay-n9o4d Nope, Gunn's Superman is the worst Superman movie by a very far margin. There are tons of Bots supporting Gunn; a real person would tell you it's the worst.
@GhostHunter340
I'm just humble polish guy, not some bot.
@GhostHunter340not really
Clark's simple desire to help people, Lois' realistic perspective, Jonathan and Martha's loving support, Lex's envy; all of these are great qualities for a Superman story. I can't wait for it to come out.
Yeah, it's realistic. Especially the female fake idealism of Lois. Not sure if it's canon but it's natural.
Why does he so emotionally overreact ? If I were that guy I would just do what I know is right and I am sure very many would back me on that, except for any and all bad guys whose interests I would be operating counter to. Luthor needs to go to some tech advanced planet where he can be incarcerated, away from any who could help him escape ... or simply be killed, like you would swat a mosquito.
@gweedomurray9923 What are you talking about?
@ericsander3620 doesn't fit wokie
@billhartman5120What’s your problem?
Anyone else catch the subtle voice change when Clark answered Lois as “Superman”?
Wasn't even subtle actually
Straight from the School of Reeve.
That was good!
yep.
Tell me you haven’t read a comic without telling me
I actually got chills...haven't gotten those from a trailer in a very long time
Man of Steel trailer?
@bozotheclown169 ew no way
@bozotheclown169 You wild for that one, that movie was too dark with next to no hope. Why can't people just admit Snyder wanted to make a movie, but didn't intend for it to be a Superman movie, As in he has never read a single comic he just got the Green Light to make a movie that happened to have Superman in it.
@bozotheclown169 That was over a decade ago. I dont even remember that trailer at this point.
@Arkzinox it was a great superman movie. you crazy and clearly the kind to go along with the herd. don't forget your booster this winter
This is the best movie I've seen in a long time. I took my son to see it thinking it was just another "superman" movie but it was awesome. The cinema actually clapped afterwards
You kidding right?
@dboy2305nah, some theaters actually clapped, a couple people in mine did
I love how utterly normal and human he clearly is beneath it all, while also having an outside perspective on everything. He thinks it’s completely ridiculous that someone can be judged for anything further than who they choose to be and what they choose to do.
“Buddy, Eyes up here” Superman being humorous but also doing it to get an enemies attention on him instead of civilians….such a Superman thing to do..I can’t wait for this!
Not just that, but I feel like there was some sort of meta angle to that as if to tell us the audience to look up as you know aside from Superman who is famous for flying, the tagline for the original Superman was you'll believe a man can fly. Maybe perhaps I'm thinking too deep on it but it is awesome if that was James gun intention. Can't wait!!!! In JG I trust
@twinnnola2318yeah your right. Great line
Superman is a civilian.He isn’t military or law enforcement,citizen is the word you’re looking for
Suddenly, between the character beats and listening to the theme music, i feel like that awe-struck 6 year old seeing Superman in the theater that first time in '78.
Me too! I was 6 years old and Superman was my first "big kid" movie and it left me floored.....
This was a pleasantly great movie. Instead of trying to compete with Marvel as they continue the massive plot they’ve carved out over 15+ years, DC comes out with something entertaining and truly relevant. Bravo
I'm so happy Ma AND Pa are back in just the most Ma and Pa way.
Yeah I know what you mean. Pa looks like you can crack open a beer while fishing on the open waters with him and Ma looks like she'd bake you the most wholesome apple and pecan pie. Good peoples!
Im worried because like...
M andpankent aren't around a lonwhent hey look this old
The strength of a Pa and mam cannot be replaced by anyone.
I’m glad that they’re alive and well, be able to grow old together in their farm, taking care of Clark, meet Krypto & Clark partner Lois, but most of all be able to see their son became the hero and also helping him because that’s what parents are there for
@darktrooper20 I think so. As far as I know Pa Kent died when Clark was a teenager like Superman 1978 is not an original story but a creation of Mario Puzo as a writer and Richard Donner as a director. I hope in this film Kal El will strengthen that he is part of the human race of earth.
Almost 40 years of Superman in my life, and somehow, that score still hits me right in the heart.
Absolutely. Born the same year as the first Superman. Love that theme
Same to me, and I’m almost 50…
RIGHT? 56 and when I heard those chords, I started weeping with joy. James may have gotten this right. Oh gods, let it be so.
55 here. Reeve fan. Me, too.
I knew part of the Williams score was used because of the teaser a few months back. But I had to rewind it when I heard just a hint of the main theme and damned if I didn’t feel like a 7 year old again.
My brother who died 4 years ago was a big superman fan, he would be very satisfied after seeing this trailer. I wish he could have gotten a chance to see this.
See you in cinema on 11 July then. :D
Rest in peace , may god bless his soul
He’ll be watching with you brother much love 🙏🏽💜
he'll be with you!
He’s always with you!
This is what Superman movie supposed to be, James Gunn nailed it
the worse movie I have seen in 40 years.
He missed the nail and hit his thumb...this movie is a flop.
@alarmservicepros Did James Gun ever though to read old D.C comic books, or did just dropped out of high-school 😂😂😂
Uhh no
This movie blew
Do you guys in these replies work for luthercorp or smth
In a world that often feels fractured, what we need most is kindness and compassion-and the Superman, more than his strength, embodies that essential humanity and I love it
study the director. He was fired from Disney/Marvel
Jul 20, 2018 · In the tweets, Gunn makes a number of jokes about pedophilia and molestation. In Pizzagate, right-wing media personalities like Cernovich pushed the idea that Hillary Clinton and other members of...

💗
"hey buddy eyes up here" made me smile from ear to ear
That is Superman through and through
@SlavsFreeTalkgenuinely don't understand the people who say that line is nothing like him. It's perfect
The line and transition to the James Gunn title picture was soooo good!
@SlavsFreeTalk this is the worst superman I have seen.
@ColombianThunderFrom this trailer alone he miles better than Henry cavill his acting was flat this guy is going for it
I'm 60 yo... and I'm excited about this movie. I'm just glad to know that the kid in me ain't dead yet.
Bravo grandpahhh
Just as Hope is for everyone, Superman is something for everyone, regardless of age, we can all feel proud of the character and what he means hehe
show 👋👏
Amen. 👍🏻✌🏻
I’m 47. Right there with you.
Watched. Recommended. Nice choice on the main actor.
2:25 😢 Christopher Reeve theme 🎶
His Son
It's Reeve, not Reeves. And this guy ain't remotely like him.
Yup.
@Aspect762agree but I will still go.
Yeah
“I cleaned your boots. Let me go get’’em for you.” Aww I love Martha Kent already!
no that's Luis Lane, Superman's into gilf's now
I am really hoping both elder Kents make it through the movie. The short of Jonathan crying in the earlier trailers has me worried
That "Ms. Lane." Goes so hard. Cannot be more excited for this cast and film.
No matter what anyone says, this is one of the best portrayal of superman. It feels more young and a superman who doesn't know his purpose yet. It was amazing
I can’t explain it, but I keep coming back to this trailer over and over again. I mean, yes, Superman is one of my favorite superheroes, but I feel like it goes beyond that. It just feels like a movie that’s wanting to push positivity, hope, inspire and uplift. We need that now.
I don't know how they're going to fit this many characters into one movie and I'm a bit worried about it.
But the way this Superman is portrayed... his heart is in the right place, and it gives me so much hope.
the justice league international not going to be in the movie that much so what i’ve heard but who knows
All movies have lots of characters. No one complained about all the other cops in Beverly hills cop. They had a few lines and that's it. Only difference here is ppl may be aware of those characters. Doesn't mean they will have tons of screen time
Jake’s Gunn is good making movies with a bunch of characters and actually making the main character the focal point and story revolves around them
Yeah you're forgetting who's directing though. James Gunn, the directly of super successfully ensemble casted movies like Guardians of the Galaxy and Suicide Squad. That dude knows how to make it work with many characters!!!
Its a bold risk by the director to try to cram this many super heroes into one film. I don't recall it being done successfully before in recent memory. But if anyone can do it, James Gunn is our man.
“Dreams save us. Dreams lift us up and transform us into something better. And on my soul…. I swear on my dream of a world where dignity, honor, and justice is a reality we all share. I will never stop fighting. Ever.
*Superman.*
"It's about what you do. It's about action."
*OUTSTANDING.
9.5 out of 10! This is the Superman comic book lovers know, love, cheer for! Thank you Gunn & crew for delivering!
I'll be doing a review on my site once I get the blu ray and rewatch it a couple times.
As a 48 year old who grew up with old Superman comics as a formative element of my childhood I have a feeling I will spend the better part of that movie with tears in my eyes...
Me too, Christopher Reeves, Gene Hackman Superman was our first epic superhero movie and DC Comics Greatest super hero
As a 49 year old man, I feel the same. I get tears in my eyes watching this trailer. This movie is going to be epic.
Yep here too the trailer has be balling
46 here and feel the exact same way……. Still have boxes in my basement of all my old Superman comics and toys !! ……I hope they give him a run of his OWN movies and don’t force Batman in anywhere to ruin it like before
@JDaughtery I was afraid they were going to ruin the character - like many of the recent DC movies (although I LOVED Henry Cavill as Superman) with everything being bleak and hopeless. One thing I think Mr Gunn gets right about Superman is Hope.
Seeing that guy help Superman up hit me right in the chest.
"No matter what Luthor says, you are one of us."
Reminded me of Simon of Cyrene
This gives off huge Spider-Man 2 vibes where Peter was close to falling off the train due to exhaustion, but the civilians grabbed hold of him and crowd-surfed him to the middle of the subway
"Careful, this kid's a hero."
@juanmancilla1474that’s exactly what I was thinking
same man i loved the fact that our hero are so close with the metropolis people no matter if it’s in good or bad condition he is there with them, so many superhero movie only shows people just running and running, it’s been awhile since we got that hero and people interaction since raimi spider-man films and glad it’s back now
This is so much better than the last trailer. I definitely want to see this now
First trailer was more vibes and this more character but love both
Weird I preferred the first
well the last one was a teaser trailer
@Tunedawg23weird, no one asked.
This Superman looks handsome
