    That's a great gym trainer who understands where she was in her fitness level at that time. Seems like he had her do low impact cardio only and didn't have her run and understands that she may get injured easily with high impact.

      IKR I saw a clip of these big girls doing an intense boot camp workout and I really feel like they should not have done that and the trainers should have told them that or lessened the intensity but they didn’t.

    At least she was honest! You can tell she actually feels bad that she gained weight. I'm glad dr. Now gave her a second chance for being opened with him. I think she's going to do great in life 😊

    That gym session was great! Trainer knew her level of exercise and energy she has and she also put in every ounce of effort she had into it. Great job!! Everyone is rooting for you :)

    She literally had me sobbing during her first gym sesh, she was so amazing and proud of herself it moved me to tears. Sarah, you ARE AMAZING keep going! You have so much to be proud of ♥️

      It’s interesting bc it seems like the biggest fear for overweight people is being ridiculed at the gym when that couldn’t be further from the truth. I think almost everyone at the gym would be proud to see her working hard to reach their goal. It shows someone who is willing to work hard to achieve something and that is always admirable.

    The guy at the gym is so understanding and sweet to this lady. I watched her walked into the gym to him, he started her with the rope and he felt her struggle, then he said ok, unto the ball, just little reps not trying to over kill her and this encouraged her to not quit. I wished the lady the best in life and this doctor is oh so wonderful helping these obese clients.The doctor, said what happened and she was honest and he said ok I will just reschedule you and give you a second chance and he did.

    I’ve lost over 200 pounds myself in only 6 months.. when I hit 580, I realized I gotta put down the fork and do something. I started doing Keto for 3 months and even the military diet for every Sunday to Tuesday for another 1 month and a half and now for my last month and a half ( almost 2 now ) I’ve been working at my local gym with a personal trainer.
    I got from 580 all the way to 350. Do I snack at night when I can’t sleep? Ofc! But I do it healthy with either a small salad or a bite of a vegetable or a banana. - I’m drinking protein shakes and swimming at the YMCA.
    It has changed my life for the better and I’ve also lost 30 waist sizes and it’s incredible to me and I’ve still got 100 pounds to go.
    I did all this without surgery too.

    Way to go, girl! I know how hard you had to work. A bit of advice: Break a big goal number into small parts. 40 pounds in one month sounds daunting, but not if you look at 1.333 pounds a day. Good luck with your new life. ❤️❤️

    I'm always impressed when I think that I have no chance in hell of carrying 600lb across the room, and these people basically do that if they can walk. I hope she keeps going to the gym after she reaches her goal, because clearly she's got to be pretty ripped under all that. Good going -- best of luck to her!

      Sure, but they’ve been gradually carrying more weight for a long time, for the most part. Those that keep forcing themselves to stand and walk even a little seem to do best, which makes a lot of sense. I guess it’s more like if you started with carrying 1lb across the room, and added another pound onto it every couple of weeks or so for the next few years. At a certain point it would still be pretty crazy you could move it at all, but for sure not as crazy as if you could pick up a 600lb block out of nowhere lol.
      That’s not to take away from her at all, though. I was super hyped for this update. I hope she keeps going and can do the skin removal and everything. And I’m really glad for the mental health focus at the end.

    Walking is a wonderful way to start getting active and moving. Don't feel discouraged! I have lost 70lbs and maintained off 55lbs for 3 years now. I noticed my sugar/sweets intake grew and I needed to check myself. I'm not back on a path to losing weight and monitoring my weight more closely. Don't stress and try to make moving fun! Staying busy really helps me not to overeat as well. Anything you can do healthily to help yourself is worth it! Life is worth it! ♡

    I’ve worked with her and her mom Barbara when I was 17 working at Cracked Barrel in Texas. She’s an amazing and funny person 😊.

    I’m not sure why her going to the beach made me legit cry. I’ve always been near the beach so I guess it never occurred to me that it would be such a distant dream for someone. I’m so happy for her

    She lost 44 pounds after the second chance and a total of 94 pounds! Way to go! It’s great to see how dedicated she was to do the surgery. There are some that don’t get the surgery because they just don’t do the work and be a work in progress. They just see an end result in their minds.

    Sarah and her mom’s relationship was really rough. They need a ton of therapy and the mother seems out of it--she doesn’t remember major trauma. I didn’t like how Sarah talked to her mom and had her mom take care of her, but it does seem like it’s coming from a place of hurt and anger from the past.

    I don't understand why people go through with this surgery after losing that much weight. If you can lose 44 pounds in a month in 6 months to a years time you'll be at a healthy weight. I mean I know she won't lose that much all the way through because as you get smaller the weight is harder to lose. She has proven diet and exercise takes her weight off. Not sure why she wants to risk her life on an unnecessary and dangerous surgery when she could do it through exercise.(I speak from experience too...I used to weigh 675 and I've lost over 200 lbs with diet alone)

      Just curious Tom do you have shortness of breath and if you do what do you do about it. I am 300 pounds and i have shortness of breath, and it bothers me as I can't walk long or go up the stairs. what do you do?

      @@sme5815 I used to have shortness if breath when I weighed more. Going up and down stairs used to be alot more burdensome. I still can't walk too long before I have to stop and rest. I don't want to give you medical advice. I'd say if your experiencing shortness of breath frequently you should see a doctor. It could be an early sign of a heart problems or something. Again not medical advice. It's just my opinion. :)

    We’re supposed to eat to live. Shouldn’t be using food as a reward or consolation. That’s when and why the judges in our heads aka rationalization and justification kick in. Telling you it’s ok to eat that treat bc you’ve been good all day. Because ya had a bad day go ahead and get some ice cream. Food isn’t the demon. It’s the burrito that beats us up and shoves itself down our throats? Naw. Like money isn’t the evil. It’s the coveting and lengths gone to to acquire more money that’s evil. I applaud her! It cannot be easy to almost wake up to a morbidly obese body. They act as if it crept up on them. It sure did. Good luck to those with eating disorders. I struggle with it daily myself.

    He says it changes the digestive system so they're not so hungry, but I don't think most of these people eat due to hunger - I doubt they allow themselves to be hungry!

    When first watching this, she was not a likable girl..the fact that she got mad at her sister for not moving to Houston was very selfish on her part. Sarah did this to herself not her sister, so expecting her to move because of her was unkind. But with that said, with her finally wanting to make the change, so did her attitude for the better. She is making a new life for herself, she should be proud of herself. Continue on your journey..u got this! Just read where she got married and had a little girl. Congratulations!
