Im buying this mtx-rc with mtx-c octo. Cant wait to try it out, especially when i go ice diving in the winter. Should be rock solid. Edit: i think im obsessed... i keep coming back and watching this video while i wait to receive my kit.
After a very freaky 'everything going wrong at once' dive I splurged for a set of these last week at the dive show. Worth the extra pennies and bit of weight for extra peace of mind! :)
İs this especially for cold water dives ? I have already bought it but I will generally use it in warm waters 🤔 By the way I have eight dives with this, And it is wonderful
Hi guys again now it’s been 30 days with this beautiful regulator, how much I dive that much I love it, I’m sorry that I can’t explain my cold water experience because there is no cold water anymore in my region . Antalya (kas) in Turkey. Beautiful place to dive and to be social
Very nice regulator. But I don't know why manufacturers don't do double hose regs anymore. I almost only dive with an Argonaut Kraken regulator, and that's the best one I've ever tried. Environmentally sealed, cannot freeze by design, and cheaper to manufacture than high end regulators. I've dived it up to 60 meters in less than 8°C waters several times and never had an issue. I hope manufacturers get back to that design, because right now there is only one guy in Florida making that kind of regulators. They are awesome :)
It can freeze. Water can get it when its off the cylinder/hanging in moist conditions. Thats the main reason regs freeze not because theyre piston and water gets in. And 8° is still quite warm tbh
Love my Kraken, but has some downsides too. I will not dive the Kraken without a bailout. When I travel and cannot rent a bailout I use my normal reg set.
Why does it only come with one second stage? I would need to buy a second second stage for the alternate, and for cold water even a second first stage, right?
All regulators only come with one second stage. When buying a regulator, you get the first stage and the primary second stage, everything else is extra, unless you are buying the reg as a package deal.
@@999racing I'm not sure what you are asking. When you buy a brand new regulator, the basic package includes the first stage and primary second, then you buy an alternate and an spg/console and attach them, as well as whatever inflator hoses you need. If you don't own any reg, then you can rent a regulator, and the regulator you rent will include all of the necessary bits...
This kind of marketing lets you to choose second stage, Some people love high quality some people say no need to have high quality in the second stage 🤔
It's not light, but it's not extraordinarily heavy either. The first stage is hefty. The second stage is pretty standard, comparable to the XTX-50. And it comes with a flex hose, so that's quite lightweight as well. You can travel with this regulator quite easily. Especially if you're taking it in its bag as a personal carry-on item. (You should take your regulator as carry-on anyways, never check life-support equipment).

Satin plated brass body with heat exchanging ribs for maximum thermal performance. Breakthrough, innovative over-moulded first-stage endcap and environmental diaphragm helps prevent ice build-up that can cause first stage free flow in extreme circumstances. Also protects the first stage from impact damage.

This is two years on, but yes its suited for cold water, but of course just as fine in warm water. Do you still like yours ?
This video is much better than the Scuba Diving Magazine on you just released!!!
This one is more for recreational than the MTX-R?
Lohnt es sich, sich für diesen Apex zu interessieren und wie funktioniert die rotierende erste Stufe?
Would love to see this reviewed along side of the XDeep NX-700/ls200
Is Mtx R is good for recreational diving?
Id love a review of poseidon 😁
Hii
I am planning on a travel reg. Planning for the TUSA rs 681. How would you rate this reg?
is the cold water ability of this reg necessary for diving Silfra fissure?
Yeah, those are the conditions that the MTX range are made for. Should work fine up there
They give you regs
Question? Does the 1st stage have an ACD like the AL Legend has?
No, it doesn't.
