Thank you so much for this video! I was looking for a video like this. But I have a small question for the first footwork example. Would you need to pull your followers hand (on 1 &2 and 5&6 respectively) or just do the circular motion to have the follower understand the movment ?
Happy you like it! 😊 You don’t need to pull her. You just have to make sure that you are leading the circular motion with the rotation of your body and not only with your hands and arms. The follower should also have tension and have her arms connected to her body. Those are the fundamentals of Bachata. We lead and follow with the body and not the arms 😊
how will the lady know if you will do the guitar step or the open close step... for the guitar it will be one-and-two, open-close it will be one-two... so she will have to do 3 faster steps with the guitar move... what can a leader do, to let her know what's coming? the steps seem pretty easy..however the leading part for a couple isn't really obvious :) thanks for helping
Yes! Whenever you are changing the steps of the follower you have to make sure to use the bolero technique and have a very good frame/connection. This means that we are playing with the heights. Check out our video “The BEST Technique To Lead & Follow” for more information :)
I like this format the best, you show the moves, then demo the steps, the partner up. Gives me more confidence to practice it!
