Francesco Caracciolo was going to be the lead ship of 4 ships. Francesco Caracciolo was laid down on 16th October 1916, she was the only member of her class to be launched, which she was on 12th May 1920. However post war Italy was in a financial mess, so she was sold to a private firm to be made into a merchant vessel That proved to be too expensive for the merchant company and the Italian Navy made plans to convert her into an Aircraft Carrier. This too feel through and in 1926 she was scrapped. Her sisters Marcantonio Colonna, Cristoforo Colombo and Francesco Morosini were all scrapped after the war.
I think the reason Kansas is a "sneaky" battleship is, yes, she's a girthy girl but she's also short. The first time an Iowa passed me I was like, "Holly crap Kansas is small!"
I think the reload time for the F. Caracciolo is due to the fact that, while most other nations' Tier 6s are WWII vessels or pre-WWII, she was a WWI vessel and, as such her reloading must have been more rudimentary than more modern vessels.
I really enjoyed playing with F.Caracciolo, but I use the secondary build and need to change. I've had good games with her giving me fun devastating attacks of at least 40k. And it's really cool that you come out of the smoke punishing any DD that is within reach of the secondary SAP. This line of Italian battleships, I grinded down to the V.Venetto, but she really needed to be a little more competitive with the other tier7s.
American pronunciation of italian words is so much fun to hear 🤣. Actually, your accent is pretty good. The only thing to note is that the accent is on the second wovel (Caràcciolo instead of Caracciòlo). I hadn't knew that for a lot of time, I discovered this some days ago (also because I had no idea who Francesco Caracciolo was)
Dev struck one of these today. He came out of smoke 3km in front of my Georgia. 3x citadel full health devstrike right through the side plate on the front turret
Caracciolo is definitely my favorite BB in the whole game. Fast, good guns, excellent angling. I love it. Sure she doesn't have smoke, range or good AA (against superior tier CV) but it's definitely compensated by the incredible ability to survive despite having absolutely no armor. You show broadside? You're dead. You angle? Everything around you is dead. I even upgraded the damage of AP shells and it came out that the damage you can inflict with a single salvo well aimed its absolutely devastating. Of course having the same 381mm of the tier 8, 9 and 10, you should consider that shells run faster than normal BBs shells. So you have to aim shorter in order to correctly hit the target. But after grinded that concept, there's literally nothing you can't kill if you play this ship correctly. I have even sinked a Yamato with this thing. Absolutely the best BB of tier 7.
Easily my favorite Italian bb! If you can get this things secondaries going, they can do some good consistent damage! My only wish for the Italians is something a bit more competitive with the Marco Polo, or a buff to the littorio class bbs (Roma & V. Veneto)
@@AlphaAiden1945 if you have a premium ship and premium time that's the fastest otherwise use whatever ship you are best in at tier 4 or 5 just do the best you can each game. There is unfortunately no easy way to farm credits
I play on PC, and the Italian Caracciolo is one of my absolute favourites. On PC it's Tier VII and has no smoke, but its SAP is deadly stuff. Cruisers tend to vanish when hit of a broadside, but also BB are at least losing 10 k HP. I really don't understand the often bad reputation of the Italian BB - Tech line. They are decent accurate, well armored and deliver a deadly punch. Good looking, sleek bastards.
The IJN BB commander we Kondo could help increase the concealment of your Italian and British BBs. If it helps, the concealment mod would be effective.
I don't play bbs too often but I like the smoke consumables. Trying the new Italian cmdr as inspiration on Japanese bb cmdr. I think it helps shooting at cruisers. GG
Dont be afraid to use HE. I never see you use HE on these Italian ships. FUN FACT: Italian battleships have better fire setting chances than british BBs. With the lowest being 34% and the highest being 48%. Also the new ship centurion has the best fire setting chance in game with the right build. A 55% fire setting chance is achievable.
Until they balance the secondaries in general. Brawler builds just are not effective enough atm, you will be punished before you get into range for the secondary to be even remotely effective
I’m interestid in this line because of your videos, I have the tier 5 for a long time, I a german line guy and I go for a hybrid build, I thinking that I try a di Revel hybrid ont these ships

Hi Spartan, about the pronunciation, try Angelo "Iakino"
very noice btw how are you getting this ships so fast?
nvm you already have the, i just noticed
I've had them I just never did the video on the them until now
My favorite battleship currently until my yamato is done which is about done at 5 out of 5 on the last segment
Spartan I mean no offence here but you're not building these ships right. They're clearly designed to brawl with the sap secondaries not snipe!
Until they balance the secondaries in general. Brawler builds just are not effective enough atm, you will be punished before you get into range for the secondary to be even remotely effective
true! accuracy build on an italian BB, is like putting a concealment build on a soviet DD
I mean I was within 10km of the enemy for the majority of the match
Am I the only who only level up Littorio, because I don’t have enough resources to upgrade 2 commanders for the same country and class?
It's not Lachino. It's iachino! GG my friend! Greetings from Greece.
Oh really I could've sworn it was an L

I got the world record in this ship. It’s an absolute beast on secondary’s.

you actually said pretty well for a non italian speaker, it’s the vittorio veneto that is completely wrong😂
Well that's better than I expected
