Hello. Question: I made a 12" round cake a few times. It was springy/toothpick was clean. When I leveled/torted it, the center was still under/wet. I used 6 cores, baked at 325 deg for over an hour - it couldn't go longer w/o burning or drying out. Any ideas? That test for springiness was MISLEADING, sigh.....
Thanks for reaching out to me. Every oven is different. If the center of the cake was still underbaked when you cut it, then it still needed to bake a few more minutes. What does 6 cores mean ?
@@DecoratingJustForYouWithDori The frustrating part was that it was toothpick tested and springy on the top and bottom. I would never have known if I didn't tort it. Sigh....
@cindys2995 .... I always bake 12 inch round cakes longer than an 8 inch round because there's more batter in the pan. I just learned by trial and errors. Maybe next time....bake your cake 5 minutes longer . Hopefully it will work 🙏
Great video Dori!!
Glad you liked it!!

@@DecoratingJustForYouWithDori 6 heating cores that look like flower nails. They recommend that for larger cakes. Thank you for your reply.
