Stuff I (probably) stole from Wikipedia:
Venom: Let There Be Carnage is a 2021 American superhero film featuring the Marvel Comics character Venom, produced by Columbia Pictures in association with Marvel and Tencent Pictures. Distributed by Sony Pictures Releasing, it is the second film in Sony's Spider-Man Universe and the sequel to Venom (2018). The film is directed by Andy Serkis from a screenplay by Kelly Marcel, based on a story she wrote with Tom Hardy who stars as Eddie Brock / Venom alongside Michelle Williams, Naomie Harris, Reid Scott, Stephen Graham, and Woody Harrelson. In the film, Brock struggles to adjust to life as the host of the alien symbiote Venom, while serial killer Cletus Kasady (Harrelson) escapes from prison after becoming the host of Carnage, a chaotic spawn of Venom.
Venom was intended to be the start of a new shared universe, and plans for a sequel began during production on the first film. Harrelson was cast to make a brief appearance as Kasady at the end of Venom with the intention of him becoming the villain Carnage in the sequel. Official work on the sequel began in January 2019, with Hardy and Harrelson confirmed to return along with Marcel as writer. Serkis was hired as director that August, partly due to his experience working with CGI and motion-capture technology which was an important part of portraying Venom and Carnage in the film. Filming took place at Leavesden Studios in England from November 2019 to February 2020, with additional filming in San Francisco in February. The title was announced in April 2020. The film was primarily inspired by the comic book story arc "Maximum Carnage" (1993) and the 1994 Spider-Man animated series story arc The Venom Saga (1996).
Venom: Let There Be Carnage premiered in London on September 14, 2021, and was theatrically released in the United States on October 1, 2021. It was delayed from an initial October 2020 date due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The film has grossed over $191 million worldwide and received mixed reviews from critics. - Кино
Tom Hardy definitely nailed the role as Venom once again
Yes
NO
How do I possibly find you in every video I watch
How are you everywhere?!
Tom hardy: Amazing actor
This movie was fun to watch and when carnage said let there me carnage it was like a little earthquake
gave me chills😂
In defense of their decision to make Cletus and Carnage an "imperfect pair", I like what they did by giving Cletus a love for Shriek that goes above all his sadistic desires. And I'm a huge Carnage fan. I know how unified he naturally is, but that gives him almost no sympathy, which I also love in certain villains.
So while I would love to see more irredeemable, cold unsympathetic monsters for villains, as a standalone movie, I'm totally fine with their decision to give Cletus a love interest, which actually does follow one comic line where Carnage and Shriek do end up together. It gave him a weakness and in the situation, seemed like the only possible way Venom could have defeated him.
But I am also peeved that they killed Cletus and Carnage off.
I'm just hoping Carnage will appear again fully formed as he should be.
Cletus could exist in the mcu timeline and therefore carnage could return
Yeah it kinda bothers me Carnage got done in here
I’d have loved to have seen him come back somehow in the next film. Maybe with a new plan or maybe even as a Lecter esque ally turned for
Carnage isnt necessarily dead. If they can write it so Carnage and Venom can rebond, then they can make it so they can separate again. Most likely wont happen, but its not impossible
To me I hated that. Felt like how age of ultron ultron cracked jokes. Just felt out of place. Carnage should be pure evil
The only things I didnt like about the movie was how they kinda kept hammering the "Lethal Protector" thing, and how short it was
The Venom movies remind me of early 2000 comic book movies - Dumb as hell; Not meant to be taken seriously, and a good way to waste away the next hour or two. Unlike the first one, it doesn’t really try to take itself seriously.
It’s the goofiest comic film since the Raimi films and I like that
@@ItsButterBean1020 But Raimi's Spider-Man movies weren't really dumb, the last one wasn't great. But here It's like this movie was made for a post credit scene.
@@sangokus6478 but they are goofy tho
@@ItsButterBean1020 no man srry there amazing
@@Austyn_Young7 I mean does that imply they aren’t greatb
Im not gonna lie, Woody harrelson's performance as carnage really reminds me of like Willem Dafoe's portrayal of the green goblin in a way that both are having fun with this crazy character their playing, but both still leave you with a very memorable performance that you can buy. Neither really go too goofy with the roles but still have a comedic charm sprinkled in here and there.
SPOILERS TALK:
Many people seem to agree that they shouldn't have killed off carnage (me being one of them) so maybe with this fan demand/ semi backlash for lack of a better term will bring carnage back some way shape or form, keep in mind riot consumes venom in a similar way in the first movie, but they obviously later sperate. Could carnage (the symbiote) separate from venom in the MCU, and find the MCU cleatus... highly doubt it but a cool head Canon I have
There’s is Toxin, which is likely the next villlian
They could bring him back. Haven't watched the movie so I don't know how he died but I am guessing they could do some alien BS to do it.
Maybe carnage is actually still somewhere in cletus kasady's cells, and he needs time before he can regenerate back
I saw someone say something interesting on another video. They believe it's very much intentional Venom ate both Cletus and Carnage, and that maybe they're both living inside Venom in a way, and will come out together as a symbiote human hybrid
Knowing carnage venom probably accidentally forgot to chomp a certain piece and only swallowed it or something and then bam carnage is alive
Marvel fans: "We want LET THERE BE CARNAGE to be R-Rated."
Avi Arad: "VENOM 2 will be PG-13, so everyone can go watch it, including the kids. It will be fun for the whole family."
Me: "PU$$Y!"
I don't think avi Arad is works with sony anymore but I could be wrong
@@overburn9671 he's their go-to guy

Well at least carnage is gonna come back after venom goes off on his own thing for a movie (the director hinted carnage will come back in a cryptic way)🥳
Source?
Well in the comics Venom eating carnage wasn’t a permanent solution either just took awhile for Carnage to pull himself back together.
@@reddiz2182 thank you, someone who actually reads up on this shit

@@sangokus6478 pffff
Venom at the costume party scene was my favorite scene in the whole movie and probably the best but hey that’s just me lol
I’m not judging, I love this movie!
Carnage has the potential to come back. What if because of the whole multiverse thing, a version of cassady from a dimension where another venom is beaten could come into Eddie/Venom's world. We could potentially see an even powerful, truer version of Maximum Carnage
I just felt like this movie was rushed so everyone could see the end credits lol
Regardless, if Sony doesn't get rid of AVI ARAD
I assure you their cinematic universe won't last long
Give two years, thankfully MCU spider-man can stay.
@@morbiuscrystal4875 thankfully? A working class hero being turned into a billionaire simp is nothing to be thankful for
I loved this movie too, but was also sad Carnage and Cletus died as I wanted to see more of them. Kind of like Loki. However, they can still bring him back. In one comic, carnage regrows his head after eating a grenade and in another after venom absorbs the symbiote, it takes control of Venom. They could just say Cletus' blood was mutated and after his head got bit off, the symbiote still lives in his blood and regrow the head. Or it escapes Venom and regrows him entirely. Either way, I hope he comes back.
I didn't mind it, just felt like it was a waste of my time compared to the first. Or even compared to anything I'd expect from a sequel. Its just kinda...there for me. Wanted more CGI Kool aid fights
You’ve completely forgotten Patrick mulligan has absorbed some of the carnage symbiote, so it makes sense that he will become toxin in the next film
Love your channel and passion, Channel Pup! 👍👑🔥 I’m hyped to go see this film
I feel like that relationship between Eddie and Patrick Mulligan, and the fact that Patrick Mulligan recieves Toxin Symbiote at the end of movie hints towards the fact that Toxin might be a villain of third Venom Movie
I have a gut feeling that there's a R rated directors cut.
My brain is saying 'no' but my gut is saying 'yes'
Which to be fair mostly stems from the abnormally short length.
That's great that you liked Venom: Let there be Carnage.
Bad news for me is that the movie became my last Marvel movie to watch since the Fandom Menace never allowed me to have neutral opinions on the Marvel movies they hate these days :/
Just as i was clicking off the video, “they fucking killed carnage”
Rip
Ok so after seeing the movie im disappointed the movie felt way too short and rushed despite the average runtime. It felt like it was over and done with in less than half an hour. I found myself thinking the church battle was the middle fight of the movie but to my surprise it was the climax. Hands down the best part was the after credits
I would watch a sitcom with Eddie and venom
Uh did you realize Detective Mulligan is still alive and has dark blue eyes, and he will have his own symbiote, and he will be called Toxin. So the third film could have Venom and Spiderman fighting Toxin and/or teaming with him for a bigger threat. Cool titles would be Venom: The Return of Carnage, Venom: The Revenge of Carnage, and Venom: Rise of Toxin. (Your idea for the name Venom Vs. Spiderman would be awesome too!)
If the first Venom Movie was more like Let There Be Carnage, the series would have been a lot better overall.
Actually the way cletus got charnage is kinda like the comic or at least how it being use it fused with his blood carnage is not dead it being in cletus blood was one of the main reason he’s so deadly
I'm gonna be honest, I loved this movie. I just didn't like the changes they made to Carnage like Cletus and Carnage aren't a match, and how Carnage is effected by sound when in the comic's he isn't, so Shriek was massively underutilised in this movie for that reason, and how Carnage doesn't love Shriek, and is very abusive, but tbh I'll let that one slide, because I like a Harley/Joker relationship in a marvel movie. Other things I didn't like was how short the movie was, I wanted to see a lot of Carnage, but we only got to see it in the 3rd act, and how Carnage and Cletus were killed off in this movie, so I'm a bit disappointed about that. Also...I wanted to see more She-Venom, that cameo if She-Venom was very underwhelming, because we didn't see a lot of her. Overall though, I loved this movie, and it sets up Venom 3, which I really like, I got hyped when I saw Patrick Mulligan get Carnage's DNA, and you know what that means? Toxin is coming to Venom 3!
11:27 I mean...
Spoiler:
They did tease Toxin in the movie.
Also, it required Venom and Carnage to face him in the comics
I'm hoping for a toxin solo film, since venom is out of the universe for the moment I'd like toxin to get his own movie, I mean we still have some life foundation symbiotes that haven't made a full deput yet or maybe even poison could jump in for his first movie aswell
@@cookiesnugglez7318 that would definitely be cool to see
IM SO HAPPY. HE FUCKING SAW IT. AND HE FUCKING LIKED IT. LET'S GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
I AM NOT AFRAID TO SAY I UNIRONICALLY ADORE THE TWO VENOM FILMS
Yo btw congrats on 69k subs
I had a blast watching it! 😁 it’s fun af
watching it tomorrow, praying for more venom feet otherwise it's worse than the first
Your wish is granted
It’s was pretty good, really fun movie
Carnage and Cletus not being in sync felt really off, a huge part of Carnage as a character is that they sort of complete each other
With the whole multiverse thing they brought up at the end, it'd be cool if they bring in a different version of carnage where him and Kletus actually are a perfect match would be pretty dope.
But than that would be over powered so highly unlikely
@@fearisedgy5448 I thought that was how it was in the comics
@@fakedbakedpotate yah but u if u saw the movie carnage was way too op like the only reason venom defeated him was because of the bell and this is movie carnage and venom
Yessss I was waiting to know what you thought of it
If it was me, i would make it so that if the movie was 2 hrs, there would be a fight in the 2nd act (ends in a tie) and the final act would be the final battle we see here in the film, kind of like GvK
A good way to take this would have been to have venom absorb carnage, venom starts to be a little more sinister. Eddie realises he doesn’t want the symbiote anymore venom bonds with Spider-Man, eventually Spider-Man realises what the symbiote is doing to him, rejects the bond. Venom bonds with Eddie again and becomes a villain for some time, then carnage finds a way to separate from venom, allowing venom to become an anti hero again and carnage can be used for future stories.
It’s messy but it’s a way to have venom become a villain to Spider-Man and also a reason for him to leave Eddie, also another way to keep carnage
I think that venom 2 is a perfect example of why people shouldn't complain when the origin movie doesn't have the big bad like batman and joker or spiderman and doc ock/green goblin or superman and zod (I know their bad examples cause everyone know most of if not all of their rogues gallery but that's not the point) you should use the lesser known villains of the gallery be in the first 1 or 2 films then save the more known for later in the franchise so that the fans of those characters so fans of those characters can get the fight they want from those characters that aren't bogged down in a film explaining the hero's origin I'm not saying it is necessary all of the time as there are plenty of films that do it perfectly but some times it is not the best option
The venom movies are a pure guilty pleasure to me, the look, voice and personality of venom feel great and they’ve clearly leaned down this more comedic, lethal protector route and that can still lead to a dark and disturbing venom in the future now. It had a lifetimes more personality than venom 1 and still feels like the back and forth from Eddie and venom having the real odd couple vibe
Actually the Shriek character is a mix between Barrison and an old childhood friend of Carnage that the costume wanted dead. So the duality between Cletus and Carnage actually exist in the original source material it is just not with Shriek.
I did like it I just would’ve loved it if it had gore
I'll come back to this video after I see the movie since it seems to have been delayed until mid November in NZ...
Venom v Spider-Man: Dawn of the lethal protector.
What if Cletus is alive and carnage was never born in the marvel/spiderman universe. And maybe becomes rated r someday and he’s around longer 😨😳when venom joins
Finally someone who says it’s a good movie
I thought the first Venom was boring but I loved the second one. It was so fun and I enjoyed Carnage and how kooky he was.
Sony is treating venom like the Ironman of their universe
Here's an idea. With the Venon Spiderman Crossover, how about making the main villain a version of the Red Goblin
Definitely a step up from the first movie, however I feel like this movie could have been so much better with a rated R rating for carnage
Havent you read Maximum Carnage? Shriek is a vital part of Carnage! You rock! Great content!
Bro it's the best movie this year
I loved this movie, however I do agree this movie not being rated R really hurt the film because we didn’t see Carnage doing... well, *CARNAGE* still this is a good film 8/10
I watched it yesterday and it was a solid 7/10 for me, my only complaint is it wasnt violent enough but apart from that it was really good.
Hey Pup, im gonna keep asking until you see, what song do you use for your intros? I just wanna listen to it
How come at the beginning it say “ Channel Pumpkin” and not “Channel Pupkin”?
the only thing i didnt like was carnage being so large, that was my only complained cause to me he always looked smaller yet suprisingly stronger and i guess fast moving like a someking of demonic imp, but andy did a great job, the crew did too
Carnage could still come back from another universe cause of that end credits scene
The Sequel Is Better Than The Original,Change my Mind.
It's obvious they're setting up Toxin for the third movie but since he's more of a protagonist in the comics compared to Venom anyway, I kinda wonder how they'll portray him and also if Spidey shows up as well, will it be him and Venom teaming on Toxin or could it be Spidey and Toxin teaming up on Venom similar to how it was in the Venom vs Carnage comics? Sadly I don't think it'll be the latter since well Carnage is now "dead"(?) unless something happens in Spiderman No Way Home where Carnage is also revived somehow.
In regards to Carnage himself though, I loved seeing him on the big screen for the first time and while his character was not one to one with the original comic which I would've preferred, it was still a fairly great take on him.
Tom Hardy used to play Bane in the dark knight rises
I LOVED THE MOVIE SO MUCH, ESPECIALLY THE CREDIT SCENE!
It really does feel like carnage should’ve escaped, something should’ve interrupted that and let him run like police swarming the building
I think Venom 3's villian will be Toxin and the title could be "Venom : Toxin Levels" or something like that
It's not really a shame if you like a film like this, heck, I like it too, is it a Flawed film? Yeah, but I enjoyed it anyway.
I have a feeling Venom and Spiderman may team up against Toxin
Yeah! I got Pup on my side baby!
95% of the people who seen it haven't even touched a venom book. Everyone sees comic book posts on instagram and think they know everything. Its cringe. I have all 5 issues of lethal protector and all I gotta say is eddie is a dork. They changed him to be funny for the sake of him having his own comic book.
For me the fight was underwhelming for me I felt as if it could have been a lot more but overall enjoyable
Theory: After No Way Home transports Eddie and Venom into the mcu, it also brings in a Carnage from a universe where they managed to defeat and kill Eddie and Venom. The Carnage from this universe managed to also convince Cletus that Shriek was no good for him and that he's better off without her and has her be killed making them a perfect match as they failed to be in the Let There Be Carnage verse. This Carnage is a lot more savage and deadlier than the one we saw die and makes his way through Manhattan forcing Holland's Spidey and Hardy's Venom to team up to take him down
Good theory
Nah, I think there's a version of Cletus in the mcu, after pulling himself together carnage might escape out of venom and go find him, it would be a perfect way to make carnage return
Maybe throw in the ultimate carnage powers too
dont forget about the post credit scene. yeah Carnage was killed of but that was the previous universe the new one will probably rebirth him somehow and yeah i agree with whole "they arent a match" thing was not the right way to handle it but throughout the movie Cletus and Carnage felt like one until Carnage kills shriek so it was one moment they took advantage off and not some massive plot point throughout
I loved the movie, nobody can change my mind
I think Carnage can return in the future, maybe the symbiote still exists somewhere inside Venom, like in the first movie where Riot absorbs Venom but they split after being exposed to sound. But Cleatus is dead, sure, but i think they could do something like in the Ultimate comics, where Carnage evolves to the point where it doesnt need a host anymore.
I enjoyed it more than I thought, figured it was gonna be another Sony tryin to get some of that MCU rub like The Amazing Spiderman movies but they did a good job with these movies. Venom's kill line at the end is some Shakespearian level shit.
legitimately AND unironically
I want to see venom and spider man and venom team up against toxin, since they pretty much set up toxin
EXCELLENCE EVERYWHERE!
Tbh it was good.(my opinion obviously)
Loved the movie, thought it was too short
She-Venom got me acting up
You wrong for that thumbnail haha
I really liked it too and my problem is definitely the portrayal of Carnage and how short he lasted, but his scene in the prison was so Badass and easily the craziest scene in the movie how he just goes around just destroying everything and even making a literal twister
I liked it a lot I got too see it on my birthday too
I have to wait till November 25th for the movie’s release, unfortunately.
I liked it too. It's not perfect but it's not dogsh!dogs!. Its fun to watch. They looked incredible and felt like the characters they were portraying in this movies setting. It definitely could be better. But it's still entertaining
With the universes merging at the post credits isn't it possible they can just throw in another carnage / Cletus?
It's funny how everyone wants "more" out of the Venom Movies, remember, Sony didnt put that much Money in this movies
I really like this Movie, is my favorite movie of the year, and as a Venom fan, this all I want from a Venom or Carnage movie. Can we be Great full that we finally have Carnage in cinema
It's funny, everyone is angry of Venom killing Carnage, Venom had killed Carnage when he fight him one time without Spiderman
You missed the toxin arc they were setting up
I honestly love the movie way too much.
I think Carnage will be back with Kletus. they're both in there so being a comic book movie I see no reason why they couldn't separate from Venom one day when Spider man is around. There's no rule that says once they're eaten they're gone, I do hope Venom got stronger from it but I'm not sure if the movies will care about keeping power the of characters consistent
Looks like we agree on something
I wouldn't say it's "Good"
It's enjoyable though.
my mans got the carnage thumbnail from fortnite lmao
I liked it :3 good flick
I liked it, but it felt a little short
I absolutely LOVED this movie! It’s got just the right amount of cheese and fun edge ︎💙 it is absolutely a super fun and fast paced action movie ︎and Venom was adorable ︎💙
I'm ok with killing off Carange cuz it happened in the comics BUT Cletus should live so he can get Carnage back in Spider-man No Way Home
7:00 to 10:00 is exactly how I feel wow
Were you guys expecting it to be bad or something?
It’s most likely gonna be a Batman V Superman situation where they have beef but come together at the end to fight toxin. Since his character was setup when mulligans eyes turn blue and it makes sense since he’s one of toxins hosts in the comics and he’s the 1000th generation of symbiote. Dunno but I’d love to see how Hardy’s venom and hollands Spider-Man interact
Bro its fun to watch but definitely was not it. Had so much potential. they nailed the 1st one though
