  • Disassembly of the latest Makita 18v inflator DMP181. This is 18v equivalent to the 40v Makita MP001G inflator in specifications and I expect both to share the same internals (compressor) except the motor and the control unit.

    Looks to be a well built unit, I'm guessing the crankshaft and Conrod on the pump use ball bearing sets pressed in, instead of being openly greased?

      yes, its a pressed in sealed ball bearing. not grease-able without taking it apart.

      Height is 24cm at its highest point which is the gauge.
      Length is ~28cm without battery but with allowance for air hose strain relief bend.
