I just wanted to say that you, sir, are a gentleman and scholar.
Little did I know that the simple act of typing 'gcc' and then an executable file name on a windows command prompt would be one of the most difficult computer science challenges I have faced to date. I have spent hours on videos and articles trying to make it happen, but with no results other than me reflecting on my own poor life decisions leading me up to this point. I wish I had known ages ago that the ENTIRE answer was in this one 11:29 youtube video. After watching this, I can now type gcc from a windows command prompt, and the only thing I have to worry about is how many errors my shitty code will generate. What a simple and joyous worry to have!

For anyone doing this on a Windows 11 computer, DO NOT add the semi colon like how he does in the video. Windows 11 will automatically create one for you.
Steps for the Path Part and onwards
1. Click Edit
2. Click New
3. Paste Path
4. Select that Path and click on Move up until the paths you want are in the right priority as stated in the video.
5. Install C/C++ on VS code
6. Install Code Runner

1. I had installed msys2 but having issue incofiguring setting of env path .
2. I been using code runner for ages i didn't know that we can set the runner to run in terminal.

my mingw64's bin folder is empty. Can't find a way out of this problem of missing headers
had a similar problem look in the ucrt64 folder for bin, should be there couse they made some changes

@@1..1..1..1H you can Just change the place that the launche.json File is being directed to, to the bin in the ucrt64 folder that should probably work

RUclips already generates subtitles automatically. I cannot make subtitles because this will increase the video processing time significantly. You can click on the 5th button from the right (subtitles) to enable the subtitles

But, to your information, I want to tell that, you can also add subtitles to your video. And, for Auto generated subtitles even, you have to go through the Settings.
Also sir, I have tried that 5th button of subtitles, about which you wrote..... But it pops that you haven't turned subtitles on or there's no subtitles from the creator

Careful, when I compile anything using mingw from this, the linked program lights up like a christmas tree in virustotal (20+ detentions), I made a few other programs to test it to make sure it wasn't a false positive, however the results stayed the same.

Another easier way to get started is to simply download TDM GCC.will automatically setup system PATH for you

I did everything, but when I open VSCode, this msg comes (Your Code installation appears to be corrupt. Please reinstall.). What should I do?
on the MSYS2 terminal it just takes too long and at the end it gives me an error

I'm having issues and I'm up to 3 hours into it.
1.starting with running the gcc command in the installer for MSYS2
2. it didn't install any files in the
\msys64\mingw64\bin
3.lastly says
'g++' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file.
when I run the main.cpp file which is expected with issues 1-2. Any suggestions

This runs the code in Windows Powershell not MSys2. If you try to use the GTK library it fail to compile.

update: for the window dimension overlay: it is msys2 cmd dialog's inbuilt property
