Sometimes I feel like I lost my identity of who I truly am and I thought of a family member important to me as a child who was my grandma and meditated on her love and strength and it helped me remember the good childhood memories and it helps me remember how strong I am and not worthless even though we make mistakes.

Hello :) I'm watching all your videos and they are helping me so much in understanding my feelings and correcting my false believes. I'm dealing with 4 different traumas in therapy. And your teaching is helping me in going faster in my therapy becouse I'm now understanding what happened. For the first time I found my 9 year old innerchiled and have being talking with her, loving her and connecting with her. Thank you so much for putting this knowlage for free online. I was thinking about my life and I just realized that when people took care of me with "attitudes" I thought it was me. It wasn't because of me it was how they were feeling.

Today I've learnt that it was okay to seek approval and external validation when i was a child and not getting that approval or validation was a dysfunction by the parents .. I needed this lesson as it seems like i built my life around other ppl approval.. am relieved laid back willing to let go external validation and go on with my life.. thank you for the video you are wonderful Alex and David :)

gosh!, the first question is relateable. I do tell my kids "mistakes is how we learn". 😼 "if we didnt make mistakes, we wouldn't learn". "we learn from our failures". it's ignorant to think criticism would encourage any child, anyone. An adult child wouldn't want to be criticized by a friend. it's the same thing. "what is the life lesson you learned"? or "spelling lesson? " 🤔 when my youngest kid didn't like when i corrected her spelling..
First time I have seen this one. Listening just now. Change to word mistake to life lesson. I had to laugh when David said to people who don’t want to make mistakes that paraphrase “your human your going to make mistakes” I guess you could say “your human your going to have life lessons” 😁😁

This is ok with little mistakes that we learn from. What happens if the mistake involves high cost (injury, trauma, cost to a company)
