I ran the engineering station for the speed and sea trials for that ship. It’s awesome!!!!
woah this episode of the hit show “fishy swishy frenzy” looks kinda cool. the animation looks a tad bit more realistic. [C]
It just looks like a car ferry, like one of the fast ones that run between Britain and Ireland
I just came here to Panama city beach and this one of the first things I seen out there I was like this 😶
@seawolf1451 This one is like 10 years old... probably more like 15 I remember seeing it many years ago... Surprised they put up a video of such an old craft
Wasnt this the test bed for the LCS?

Helicopters
The U S Coast Guard should have invested into the Sea Fighter and built a new breed of Cutter from it a Multipurpose Response Cutter at around 5400-7200 tons with space for a full medical ward, Tactical Operations Center for MSRT MSST and TacLet teams also for DOJ and DHS teams from DEA FBI CPB etcetera also will be a le to serve the NSF in regards to HADR Operations. It will have a full flight deck and hangar space for three full size helicopters (MH60 MH65) it could have been the C and C for USCG DSF Operations abroad from anti piracy Antiterrorism and counter narcotics operations being also the USCG should have done a joint purchase with the USN on the LCS program picking one for the OPC role it would have been cost effective and brought those vessels online sooner rather than what's taking place now. The USCG really need to take their Law Enforcement and Intelligence Operations more serious that's their way into being taken serious by POTUS Congress the Senate etcetera once they realize the importance of the USCG then the money will come by a little easier than it is now. In an idea world the DHS and DOJ sho6be merged creating the Department of National Security with the USCG as the top of the spear for their global operations where all the law Enforcement Operations can be achieved without hindrance of location jurisdiction or mission type, by combining all the assets of both the DHS and DOJ to include all Tactical Operations Teams the most active of them (MSRT BORTAC HSI/SRT DEA/FAST/SRT ATF/SRT FBI/HRT) can be merged into a JSOC equivalent called ONS Office of National Security where all Antiterrorism counter narcotics National Defense Operations Intelligence/Counterintelligence operations can take place and with the equipment that can be gained by the USCG again Operational restrictions will be almost void. Well just a thought
With China launching its first 'drone' ship you can't help but look at this design and think what if
Eh, line of sight isn't that important on the open water, the main threat out there is exocet missiles. I saw one of these recently in Mobile, AL and they are very low profile, especially when compared to the USS Alabama.
@wi11y1960
The lower you go, the less you can see. Height is a double edged sword
lose the tower on the bridge and give is a lower profile. Its like a sore thumb sticking up saying "some one shoot me please"
@seawolf1451 and your point is?
Floating shoe box
Armaments?
None.
Flop Flip Its just a prototype.
