I saw it in the theater today. Please... do NOT wait for this come to Prime Video. Seeing it on an IMAX screen often makes the plane look life-sized. This should win an award for cinematography. Its a great look at the entire team, from the pilots that get all the ooohs and aaahs to the crews that enable the planes to get off the ground. The only thing missing was the smell of jet exhaust.
The very best IMAX experience I have ever had. This is a must see by all America right now!! Go see it. You will be grateful and humbled by these men and women! I guarantee this!!
Greg is just an outstanding guy. I meet him at TYS show. He was just awesome to talk to. He is just very open and easy to talk with. Thanks Greg for your time. And yes they put on a great show.
Watching now. What great interview. As a retired AE-1 I love seeing anything about the blues. The wife and I spent January 2023 camping at NAF El Centro. Got to watch the blues every morning.
Thank you for having the Boss on the show. I loved the movie. I've been a Blue Angel fan since I was stationed in Pensacola at Corry Station, which is weird since I was in Air Force.
I moved to Pensacola a few years ago. Being from Birmingham our family would vacation here for two weeks every summer beginning in 1970’s. We always went to the summer show. One of the best things about being here now is seeing the Blue Angels practice. My family and I saw the IMAX movie yesterday. When I saw J J Abrams was involved I knew the movie would be great. It absolutely is a great movie. Hoping for an academy award. Inspiring for recruiting..Thank you all for your service!
I’ve seen the Blue Angels twice. In 2001, Phoenix (former Williams Air Force Base in Chandler, now called ‘Mesa Gateway’) and in 2016 at Miramar (now called something else). In contrast I’ve watched about 10 Thunderbirds Shows at Luke Air Force base in West Phoenix. Today I watched the show at IMAX and it’s given me much appreciation for what they do.
I was fortunate enough to catch an IMAX showing early on during the release, and as having grown up following the Blues, attending airshow after airshow, the closing of this film was very moving. The theater was packed, and it pains me that this was only available for 1 week on IMAX. While my theater couldn't hold everyone, I am truly sorry for those that could not make an IMAX viewing as the applause from the crowd, again during my particular viewing, was immensely powerful -loud and very patriotic. It was as if a rock band was being called out for an encore! Veeery moving indeed given the current social climate with everything occurring around the world. AND as a veteran, of the U.S. Navy no doubt, witnessing the crowds immediate response first hand was truly an honor. My only wish is that I could have documented the gusto applause. Memorable nonetheless. Keep it up America! And God bless our Blues (and T Birds), all active military, and veterans! Thank you ALL for your service!
Lt Wooldridge was a member of the Fist of the Fleet , VA-25 during the mid-70's flying the A-7E Corsair II . A true gentleman , I am honored to have served with him.
I had the pleasure of having lunch with Greg a few years ago when he did some leadership training for my company. A genuinely good man with a love of life, God and people. That was one of the most memorable days of my life.
The first time I saw the Blue Angels I really knew nothing about them and wasn't too excited to see them.....then Fat Albert took off using JATO. I almost lost my mind!!! Have been hooked ever since. Miss those JATOs!!!
Boss Wooldridge is so inspiring. After watching Blue Angels Around the World SOS. I tried to apply some of the techniques shown in that movie, to my life. Let me say that is no easy task. Immolate, but never duplicated in my world, but better for it.
This is Going to be Truly Awesome to watch. One can't really know what it's like to be in the Hot Seat of one of these Aircraft unless you are & in terms of the Adrenaline Rush but this is the Next Best Thing & Will Highlight the Fantastic Team Work of the People & that should extend to the Ground Crew Teams as well. It should also serve as a Reminder we are Going along for a Privileged Ride here that Very Few of us would ever get. Amazing Stuff & let's not Forget the Guys at the USAF Thunderbirds Display Team either as they all Deserve our Thanks.

Desperately miss the JATO shots! Shame they had to stop doing them.
He is everything great about America. His story needs to be seen and heard by everyone.
