For one weekend in October 2023, Redruth, Cornwall hosted a brand new contemporary art festival - a non-stop weekend of exhibitions, installations, performances, workshops, and much more.
Flamm was an ode to Redruth and its people, set against the backdrop of a town steeped in a remarkable industrial history and thriving with a present-day culture for creativity and innovation. The inaugural festival presented work by artists and creative collectives which responded to the theme of Change as it drew vitality and inspiration from the town and its evolving identity.
Flamm was kindled through a partnership between Creative Kernow and Art Night. We have also joined forces with Counterpoints Arts to feature some of our events as part of Platforma 7 programme, illuminating issues related to identity and dislocation.
Flamm will return to spotlight the creativity and community that we know to be thriving across Cornwall from Launceston to Land’s End.
