- Once you save your first $10,000, everything changes. For me, having that first $10,000 shifted me from a place of scarcity to feeling more comfortable, less stressed, and ready to aim higher.
In this video, I’ll explain why saving $10,000 is a game-changer and share tips to help you reach that milestone ASAP.

I felt that difference once I hit $10k was amazing.
Just even the visual look of $10k causes a difference in how you feel and how you conduct yourself and the perception of life 🌈
That's amazing!
I saved up 20k, i found a really good deal on a house so insted of investing in indexs or stocks, i bought the house for $65k in July. I bought it off market, but the actually estimated price for the home is $100k+. My monthly payment is $580 which is WAY less than rent in the area + I receive $200 in mineral right royalties every month and rent a room out to a friend, so im actually making money off it!
Well done! I also rented out rooms to my friends when I started.
Man i was happy af with 2k in my account. With over 50k invested now, I feel like I don’t have nearly enough compared to what I’m supposed to have. I’m learning money is always gonna be a stress point. It’s all about developing good saving habits and finding happiness from within
Haha it’s the same with body dysmorphia when you start going to the gym
haha this is very true. A really important step is knowing how much you need before you don't need money anymore.
This.. it just never seems like enough. At 38k saved and 42k in a Roth IRA. I was saving up 10k for a car but ended up just shooting past it and getting an electric bike instead lol
@@kwillee93unless you have $100mil you are always one lawsuit from bankruptcy.
Saving $10k is a good milestone!
Yup!
This basically happened to me. I saved up $10,000 but i would than start increasing my spending and than i was below my goal. Finally about a year and a half ago I saved $12,000 I had finally truly broken passed my goal.
Than i had the conflict of having more money than i ever had before. If I spend the money I won't have it anymore, but if i dont do something with it's effectively the same as having no money at all.
That was the same year i started my roth account and started learning everything i could about finance from RUclips.
At this part of the story i'd love to tell you all I now own my own house and drive a cool car... But that's still far from the case 😅
I'm still early on in my journey but i hope that i will do well for myself even if i feel like i'm so behind all the time 😂
You’re not behind! Everyone has their own pace. So keep doing what you’re doing and focus on that goal! ☺️
My kids both ended high school with over $20,000 saved in their accounts. I got them to both start Roth IRAs early.
That’s amazing! 🙌🏻
Gosh I love this and this is motivational ☀️
It almost feels like money starts attracting money once you get to that 10k. Something changes in your mind.
Yup, once you're focused, more money will flow towards you
there's a book called whispers of manifestation on borlest , and it talks about how using some secret tehniques you can attract almost everything in life it's not some bullshit law of attraction, it's the real deal
Sean thank you for your videos is very helpful!!!
My pleasure!
Almost 17 and I have saved over 15k, but here in Australia, we don't really have easy tax efficient ways to invest... the main thing is superannuation but that kinda sucks. For now I'm just using a high interest savings account but 5% pales in comparison to the power of investing!
You got this! 15k is a lot for 17!
17 year old? 17 year of working?...
@aronwaldmann2180 I've been working 1.5 days per week on average for almost 3years (45weeks per year app) at about $140 a day. And in that time I've been buying my own clothes, a nice pc, and some treats. Saving is good, but gotta enjoy it a little.
$10k is not a lot nowadays! You need $50k
Yup, but you gotta start somewhere :)
Real
Hey Sean, could you please make a video about which things you’ve found worth hiring out versus doing yourself? I’m flipping, and learning quickly which trades are expensive and not. And filling gaps where needed (RUclips education is awesome, internet is awesome)
I would be curious where you draw the line on hiring vs. DIY on management companies, accountants, general contractors, drywalling, etc
I make sure my deals pencil out if I hire out everything. Then anything that I do myself is just extra profit for me.
Great Insights!
Thanks for watching!
I am glad I started investing early
That's awesome!
@seanlovesrealestate Thank you😄
0:54 lol good acting and 8:43, that's the hard part because where / how am I gonna find and buy a home for that cheap in a HCOL area . btw sup Sean
lol that was some b-roll that we shot for my wife's music video!
Guys just don’t spend the money you get from your parents and skip college and then boom, you just casually start life with 10k
What state do you invest in real estate?
Currently 11, Invested like 1k, turned it It into 4k with 1k addons over 4 years. What stocks do you recommend I invest in other than the S&P 500, and the Stocks that go over the whole market?
That's amazing, congrats on starting early. TBH, I don't recommend getting into too many individual stocks until you have money that you're ok with losing. Stick with the fundamentals and you'll go very far over the long run.
@@seanlovesrealestate thanks for the tips!

Target date funds are garbage. Use a broad market etf. They dont grow much at all.
It's a good place to start for many people!
I put this video in x2 because time is money 😈🐺
it's kinda crazy how nobody is talking about the book whispers of manifestation on borlest
It’s kinda crazy how nobody wants to get out of the rabbit hole and read the book Whispers of Manifestation on Borlest
For number 5 I’m investing gonna star investing when I turn 13 with1 dollar a day tat I get from birthdays and my weekly allowance and by the time I’m 21 and can access the custodial account (I live in New Mexico so I can only invest at 21) I’ll have a about 4k but I’ll split it with my brother cuz he is putting in some money to also invest but then I’ll have 2k money already saved up from investing in the S&P 500 (which has an average of 7 percent interest which is how I calculated my money gain) then with that 2k I will have a decent start with my savings to 10k🎉🎉🎉🎉
Edit: I’m doing this in a Roth IRA account with one dollar a day invested into S&P 500 and the rest of my money going into a LoFi HYSA which means I won’t have to pay tax for the interest that I will gain 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Sounds like a solid plan. Starting early makes you ahead! You got this!
Thanks!
I think my number is $100K cash savings outside 401k and stocks. I saved $10K for my kid, have more then $10K for myself yet I don’t feel it’s a game changer or an abundance of security. But I also live in the Bay Area 😂🙃
I agree, 10k is just the start!
10k is almost useless imo
I feel like investing starts rolling at 50k but moreso 100k is the magic number
i saved 10k and nothing happened. I had to wait 8 years to hit 100k. Now i’m wondering how long it will take to make it million
It'll be a lot sooner than you think. Possibly under 10 years as long as you stay disciplined and the market doesn't do a sudden shift on you
@@seanlovesrealestate Thank you for giving me motivation. i really hope so. Right now it seems like impossible and i feel so discouraged and anxious about it. But if this ever happened i will come to this page and update 🫶🏻
is this Daniel Braun's house
these are my houses :)
❤❤❤
This guy had everything handed to him from birth and has the nerve to make RUclips videos telling you how to save money
Or you live the first 4-5 month you work by your parents and save it all
sofi is 4.2% rn how are you seeing 4.5%
I filmed this a few weeks ago, but 4.2 is still not bad!
Not the best advice, you should save and invest no matter how much money you have and you don't lose your job just because the market tanks.
I think I said the same thing
@@seanlovesrealestate 6:51 "for most people you probably shouldn't invest until you have 10k" in my opinion you should invest no matter how much you have. I was in the 'in dept' and 'low income' criteria but I started investing before I had 10k and I'm glad I did. I'm not saying everyone is the same but even with low income and no savings you can still invest to start.
Bitcoin is the greatest asset of all time my friend not risk if you plan on holding long term . You should do your research

But how can Americans afford to even buy a home if everyone is living paycheck to paycheck? 🤔.
Sometimes people are living paycheck to paycheck because of their bad spending habits. So if they learn to fix that problem first, then wealth can build and they'll eventually have enough to afford a home
This 17yo’s net worth passed 5mil?
I'm 34 😅
