Is OpenAI running out of money? In this deep dive, we break down OpenAI's projected $14 billion annual losses, the Microsoft cloud credit illusion, the Code Red triggered by Google Gemini, Sam Altman's complicated history, the Elon Musk lawsuit seeking $134 billion in damages, and why mid-2027 could be a critical turning point for the world's most valuable AI company.
Science & Technology

Altman is a snake
oil sales man.
astrologically, he is an ox
A drama queen, at the very least.
he's jewish... LOL...
Explains the snake oil.
Suchir Balaji, a 26-year-old *INDIAN* , former OpenAI researcher and whistleblower, was found dead in his San Francisco apartment on November 26, 2024, one month after accusing his former employer of copyright violations. While police ruled it a suicide with no foul play, his family suspects murder, citing evidence suggesting a fight.
Tucker Carlson questioning Altman about this directly in the interview was brutal - Sam’s mask really showed a lot of cracks.
@Osodjrhrb do you happen to have a link?
@jaraxel888 ruclips.net/video/zrgEZ8FeZEc/video.htmlsi=H66i5sjkAEKQYG2r there’s also an en entire interview with the victims mother
@Osodjrhrb T Carlson has less credibility than Candice Owens!
Epstein Class coincidences
Never trust OpenAI, never trust Scam Altman, he is not a trustworthy guy
Q: how do I know when Scam Altman is lying?
A: check for any movement or sound coming from his mouth.
That's obvious after watching him and listening to him for a few seconds...
fake and gay distilled
Don't trust any AI. And if you use it your complicit in all the agony is brings / will bring.
@rhandtaru9786 Wow, AI has become self-deprecating
I hope they go. Sam Altman is reckless and dangerous.
And Anthropic tells users to not install or let AI connect to the internet if the don’t understand OS security.. well, they don’t and AI is already roaming around unchecked.
Absolutely unbearable in his manipulative ways. And unfortunately also dangerous…
He’s a demon
yep EVIL, TWO FACED, GREEDY, LIAR. Stole Ellon Musk Company and ousted Musk!!! DONT kid yourself if chat gpt folds YA THINK ALTMAN IS GOING TO WALK AWAY EMPTY HANDED. oh hell no !
why? also what's dangerous will LLMs?
OpenAI is not only financially in trouble. Their AI models are less capable than advertised and the improvement curve is flattening. Then there are all the copyright lawsuits that are looming over the entire AI industry.
Codex 5.4 is the best coding model of the market, in fact.
Sadly they'll convince gullible politicians to funnel tax money into them until sam and company can walk away rich enough to withstand all the lawsuits.
.
*_Suno & Udio using millions of stolen music files isn't exactly helping the public popularity deficit._*
Nah, codex 5.4 is the best atm.
They are being sued by the family of one of the victims of the mass shooting in BC. Shooter was basically facilitated by chat gpt
"For the benefit of humanity." -- "The road to hell is paved with good intentions."
The intentions were never good.
Actually, the road to heaven is paved with good intentions too.
No capitalist has ever spoken the words "for the benefit of humanity" with even a shred of honestly.
@JustSomeJoe-dp5rpWhat's more liberating than capitalism (without the corruption and manipulation by government, credit systems and stocks) and how?
@bradwjensen You can't separate corruption and manipulation from an economic system that places the generation of profit as its singular goal. That's like saying who's safer to invite into your home than an arsonist (without the whole compulsively setting things on fire proclivity).
The real issue is that Sam Altman is a conman.
Much like the master, Musk.
Altman does not strike me as a leader, more of a reckless dog in the manger.
THIS!!
Didn't stop Musk from getting rich
@Giddy-i2c Musk getting rich didn't stop him from being a creepy jerk.
Actually, the technology isn't real either.
Yes, it exists, but it can't REMOTELY do everything they claim it can nor replace people wholesale.
Yeah this is like a bunch of horses standing around laughing at the first cars... "Look at them their wheels are falling off and they keep breaking down.. They have to find that petroleum stuff to make it run too what a joke..."
@SLAMBANGO wrong. AI is advertised to do jobs quicker and more efficiently. a better example would be.
imagine paying ten guys to sort through paper work. now you can hire a guy that is supposed to sort the paper work many times faster, but is quite unreliable.
and you end up needing the other ten guys to fat check all his work to make sure it is all good. you now have eliminated the benifits of hiring the new guy.
this is basically what is going on with AI. unreliable, prone to attacks, and is expensive.
@joe-go-jint-aJ2997 No it's more like buying a car to replace your 3 horses but realizing cars aren't technologically advanced enough to replace your 3 horses yet so you need your horses back.. But in 20 years you won't need horses.
You know I remember when I could beat my chess computer... every game. What a joke those chest computers were.
@SLAMBANGO😅😂😂
Except cars actually worked
"it isn't X. It isn't Y. It's Z" gpt house style writing...
Exactly....but here is the twist
i hope after scam cuckman gets outed, he goes to prison. most likely not but it makes me smile thinking of scamy getting a warm welcome from the prisoners for stealing all the worlds ram.
he has a free out of jail nose card
.
*_If & when he can't contractually deliver what he promised to the government...he'll probably be used as fertilizer._*
*_No matter where he absconds to._*
Elizabeth Holmes
cuckman 😂
I dont know man, prisoners are not exactly what i had in mind for people who cared about RAMs
didnt they just accept the gov't military contracts that = unlimited money?
corrupt money, yes.
Yes, but also no. The problem is the US government is broke. They in a partial shutdown right now and are always running out of funds and are having to borrow more. Nothing lasts forever.
That’s not unlimited money, that’s our healthcare
unfortuanately there is a President spending it on useless wars that achieve nothing productive....billions a day on a war! When congress changes you think budgets will get cut? ABSOLUTELY.. when congress switches to DEMOCRATS.. Trump is going to be impreached and put in prison
@xpez9694 Trump and Altman might share a cell =)
They should have asked ChatGPT how a safe growth path would have looked alike.
Maybe they did. And it was wrong, as usual.
I’m sure it gave some “hypothetical” answer lol
Sam will be the darling of his cell block
Likely quite literally true if the stories about the 'Gay Tech Mafia' are true.
@danielbarbour3501 Just Tech Mafia
Do ya think? I can safely tell you that Altman will not spend a single day in jail. Where is Bankman-Freid? is he really in jail 🤔………..or has he just blended into the background 👀. He is supposed to be in Federal Prison……..transferred out of MDC in Brooklyn……….but no news coverage whatsoever. Soooooo……….I believe he is in the wind………gone! Maybe living with Epstein.
He and his cell mate “ten inch Tyrone” will make a lovely couple!
@tece2796 america is not civilized unless you're wealthy.
Altman is a liar. How can anyone be surprised by that now.
Would be a shame if Scam Altman was unable to satisfy the RAM hoarding deal and free up all those wafers 😏
A nice thought, but I expect a different AI company gobbling it all up before it would even be considered to put them towards the free market.
@Silent-Bob2142the companies like Nvidia would rather destroy it then let it get sold back to us at a cheaper price, this is a real thing that will happen.
3:53 “We lose money on every customer, but we make up for it in volume”
Altman - Alternative Man - ironic name for a person creating such a technology.
Is that even his birthname?
Anthropic taking a principled stand against Pentagon misuse of its technology was both the right thing to do, and also the right thing for business. Anthropic already had a better business model, and now they're market share is growing while OpenAI declines. Many of us have complicated relationships with AI: we love the technology and the tool while also fearing its implications. Having at least one leading AI company show signs of caring about the rest of us... goes a long ways.
I like how no one ever calls it that Panzi Scheme, that it actually is.
13:34 With Microsoft buying OpenAI when Google’s is far surpassed it, they’d be creating the next generation of Bing and Internet Explorer products 😂
Windows is defective product.
10:55 I always remember this, it's better to sell 1 product that's better than everyone else, than to sell a bunch of products that no one wants
True but sometimes you need to diversify your offering.
The risk with artificial intelligence is not the artificial intelligence itself, but the excuse idiots will have for making machines manage reality. After four or five iterations the artificial intelligence won’t know its head from its ass and we have no idea what it’s gonna do with the reality that it is managing.
“Scaling laws,” are just like Moore’s law, an observation of behavior that isn’t a law at all.
☝️
Scaling laws apply to hardware. Not software. Software starts out good and gets worse. Show me one counter case of software inexorably improving. I’ll wait here.
Scaling law apparently only worked at the beginning… the difference between ChatGPT 4 and 5 is practically inexistant outside their controlled benchmark.
Altman is the male version of that Theranos lady.
She tried to look and sound like a man, he tries to look and sound like a human. 😂
11:47 - Just the way Altman sit says a lot about his character.
It's not only on free tier that the AI companies lose money - every private license loses money, unless it's barely used.
Maybe government and military contracts make them some money.
ah msot likely not as for goverment and military usage they owud need make new model withou gaudrails and need computing power os avot 100 billion or to make ecveryhgi for goverment form dasta centers to models wgis woudl take 5 to6 years easy
He has the same name of the antagonist Michael Altman from dead space
Even he wasn't bad.
They used his name after he died as a martyr.
GPT4o was the only true groundbraking development. After that they only made filtered versions of it with a lot of hype but no real advances to backup their expenses. Sam Altman knows that. OpenAI is his new Loopt (the company he got a lot of money selling lies and hype but turns out to be nothing)
Exactly. 4o was incredible. After that just crap
It is not only the water spent in cooling while running the datacenters. To produce the chips, the base boards, etc, etc is highly (very) energy and water intensive (you need a lot of ultra high purity water for the fabs, high quality quartz -> yes, you cannot use the silicon in the sand). So, the cost is even bigger for the environment and everyone, just for some supposed "saved time" when reviewing a document that you should be reading anyway.
AI used to narrate a video about the instability of AI 😮
I live in Ann Arbor. We have a giant data center being built just outside of saline. 4.5 billion. Within 10 yrs it will be empty.
Sam Altman is slowly and steadily transforming to (I) am Saltman.
now they have a military contract
Guys... They have military contract now. Govt bailout might be on the table now. The bubble will last longer
The US budget is the bubble that will pop first.
It is extremely idiotic business plan to anger your wealthiest customers that are also your biggest creditors.
Money is all about trust and when the trust is gone, then money is gone instantly.
@verttikoo2052 hard "money" is not about trust because it is real wealth; credit is about trust. the magic of this psychological operation ponzi scheme is that they tricked everyone who is incapable of critical thought into believing credit is money. jp morgan himself told us that only gold is money and everything else is credit, in his words because they had killed silver as money by the crime of 1873; silver is the first and real money of which all else is a derivative. they have lost control of their financial ponzi so they are now stealing as much as they can get away with before sacrificing the dollar as most know it; this is what this war is about.
@verttikoo2052 exactly. You can't get bailed out when the US has got no money and is building up debt at record speed even before this idiotic war. It costs $2 billion every day, let alone 27 US bases destroyed, 5 jets shot down, 5 tankers damaged or destroyed, $7 billion worth of radar and comms gear up in flames, and repairs to make on the Carrier Abe Lincoln after it took multiple hits. Years of missiles that cost $7.5 million each to shoot down $20,000 drones was never going to work, and oil prices everywhere have skyrocketed. It has united a formerly fragmented Iran who is proving in real time what a paper tiger the USA military is and many big countries are taking notice.
@D64NZ Countries have infinite amount of cash. Want to know why ? Because they can just vote how much the debt they want to accept. Anything above that stops existing. USA never did that but other countries regularly did it : Any communist country to ever exist. Germany did it both during the rise of Hitler and in the aftermath of WW 2. Austria did it in the aftermath of WW 1. Spain did it after the end of the Napoleonic wars. And examples can be found almost in any country if its old enough.
@Muaddibize That's not how cash reserves work, and the only reason the US dollar didn't crash out decades ago is because it is pegged to the price of oil. Once it loses the pegging the entire currency will crash to basically nothing because of how much "money printing" they have done over the last 50 years. The pedo-dollar is on its way out and once that goes, so does the USD as a reserve currency. We have already seen this happen historically about 6 times. The Dutch Gilder used to be the Reserve currency for example. There is a good reason it went out, and the British pound took over, etc etc. We will now see the end of the USD and the start of the Yuan as global reserve currency over the next few years.
I've got news for you.. Compute is NOT intelligence.
Damn, that bubble was the shortest of all
It’s time to put Altman in jail. Like that Holmes woman and a heap of other web-grifters. Altman gives of such an evil, lying, grifting and criminal wave of vibes..... If I believed in its existence, Altman would be the devil himself.
But.. his voice is so soft. He's so calm and...sensitive
So you want to put him in jail for having bad vibes? Yeah, those are some serious allegations.
@nunyobiznez875No and that’s not what I wrote.
@PietroCozziTinin I can see what you wrote, "It’s time to put Altman in jail." and "Altman gives of such an evil, lying, grifting and criminal wave of vibes.....". So, sorry, I must have missed all the other reasons you want him in jail, or perhaps you simply didn't like me summarizing "evil, lying, grifting and criminal" as just plain old "bad"? Either way, I think it's a fair characterization of what you wrote.
@n@nunyobiznez875 There’s nothing for me to like or dislike. Not even your lack of ability to abstract. This is my last reaction to this posting.
This will be the best example of 'enshitification' that will be studied in business schools for decades.
Brockman is still there front and center. If that huge error is in this vid, then nothing can be taken seriously.
yeah I'm not sure how the creator really hit publish on this.
That's exactly what I was expecting back when they revealed their $20k lifetime sub plan.
sutskever was openai
then he left
sammies just a salesman
The recent news about the OpenAI Pentagon contract changes things. By taking the military deal Anthropic passed on last month, OpenAI has found a way to solve their liquidity issues independently. It seems like a clear path forward that avoids them being swallowed up by Microsoft.
Sam Altman
Sam Bankman-Fried
Sam C...... next
Sam Cooked
Uncle Sam
Sam Hyde
Sam Colt?
It's Autocomplete. It's Spellcheck. It's the wordgonext model.
Bring it down !
I'm always amazed by how much people use AI to do stuff you could already do with different software.
0:25 can i ask the source for that attention block visualization source ? i wanna learn
Yes
Excellent video. Very easy and clear to understand. We must doubt the business models of all the AI companies. That's why the tech stock panic has just started.
Love the channel keep it going!
11:09 15 X the revenu they got before everyone leave after they accept the US army deal.
Oh no! Anyway...
Thanks for the trail date.pls keep us posted.
Im 100% sure Open ai will fail and get bought out, and that is the problem. This moron is going walk away with billions in his pocket regardless, and probably start some other unsustainable company and do it again. The problem is not OpenAI, the problem is US, the people. Our greed is the problem, always has been, always will be.
They just signed a deal with the us government. They will get a bailout so don’t hold your breath on them failing 😂
He already did crypto, Maybe next time people will think twice.
Unless there are financial manipulations that are deemed as criminal?
Who is our?
He his not a moron if he built chatgpt
What gave you achieved in your life to think you can call him that
On all that money you need to add situation with ram and storage and consequences on other companies and businesses.
You forgot to mention that at some point ... adding more HW does not yield any further 'better' results from the models ....
This is not true.
Sam altman eats corn the long way
I do not get it with the water - why not to make a closed loop and reuse water again and again??
Water is used to cool, you need electricity to pump water through, and then cool water that’s pumped turns hot when done.
Hot water needs to be cooled before going back in
The water is evaporated for cooling purposes, like sweat. That's hugely efficient, but the water is lost to the atmosphere. If you don't evaporate the water, you have to get the heat out of it before you can reuse it, which is the original problem all over again.
I don't know if it's like that but we've all seen one, toxic coworker in a high enough position they seemingly 99% of the company doesn't see toxic because they smile and manipulate everyone... The 1% that see it either just leave or try to do something and gets shunned out after being called the "bad one". We've all had it happen around us, most of us choose to ignore it.
Also, they could try a create a new processor company, that's better
equipped to handle large scale computing at a cheaper cost.
Yes, it would be a hard investment, but instead of relying on the whims
of current proccesor manufacturers, it's sometimes better to become
simply independant witha singular focus, which is AI support processing,
so processor that only handle and are specifically designed for AI support,
instead of using generalized support units.
It is toast
Butter & Jelly ?? Lol
I really thought they were gonna last till the end of 2026... I guess they're speedrunning it.
Sam Altman is college drop out, who thought he was too smart for an education. He knows how to cash and dash, but he has no idea how to run a business. The people who run successful companies, know you have to have business model that works. It's basic to business, but you can survive without it. Altman can't tell were the money is coming from, and how it will pay the rent Sam is killing Open AI.
And people who finish college know how to run a business?! 😂
Gee what a shame if a technology nobody actually needs, and is damaging to the environment due to it's energy and water usage went belly-up. 😆 I like the throw-away dig at SalesFarce at the 8:45 mark.
Should I be moving to Gemini?
Don't use LLMs at all tbh
I hope so!
LLMs will hit a development wall sooner rather than later. The tech bros are just hoping to create enough hype around their companies to last long enough until the "next" big thing. What we are calling "AI" is NOT artificial intelligence - the tech is amazing sure - but it isnt intelligent, innovative or even reliable due to hallucinations. It is a super fast pattern recognition mathematical marvel - with specific uses outside of its ability to entertain our imaginations but at a tremendous environmental cost. Not really applicable to make our daily lives easier unless we write boiler plate letters, etc daily. AI doesnt create anything, it uses data that it was trained on to predict word choices - but unless you proof it - you risk plagiarism or halucinated data.
Excellent Analysis. Subscribed.
there is like zero ACTUAL money in this industry, its all giftcard exchange between, openAI, microsoft, amazon and nvidia
Unfortunately no, there is outside money flowing in and disappearing down the drain as well
@paperscorpion it's all dept, AI companies BORROWING money they will never be able to repay. Its like me having $30,000 credit card limit, doesn't mean i have $30,000 cash on hand, but I can still buy stuff.
They vowing for a govt bailout. Their CFO said so out loud and then tried to back track it after public criticism. But behind closed doors they are definitely greasing some congressmen, senators and presidents family for the bailout
How do you define consumes water? It's not like they're turning water into composite gas...
It's actually using water processing rather than water itself. But it's water processing we're short of.
I'm sure AI is an environmental disaster, but I also wonder how using water is a problem, if the water doesn't disappear.
Water resources are consumed through the process. Cleaning, filtering, evaporation, waste heat, chemicals and filter material, the energy cost of moving it. Globally water won't be created or destroyed, just moved, dirtied, and dumped in the ocean, but the local system water resource will absolutely be consumed. There will absolutely be less of the resource available to other needs, the environment, agriculture, human survival, etc.
I noticed they're offering a much cheaper upgrade option that wasn't there before. That might suggest they're scrambling for some actual income.
I dont agree the technology exists
Good! If anyone deserves to lose ai race it’s open ai and Sam
OpenAI being sued by victims family from mass shooting in BC. Shooter was talking to ChatGPT and OpenAI did NOTHING to help the shooter or notify authorities
So should automotive manufacturers send telemetry to local police for those who are speeding and making too many lane changes per minute or be civilly responsible for the crash that takes a life?
OpenAI is not responsible for the actions of the people who use their products.
The real question is why didn’t he sell the company already? At this point the businessmen cash out while evaluation is high and the ship hasn’t hit the iceberg yet.
Should've kept 4o. This was at least the most fun AI to chat with and to roll out your own thoughts as ChatGPT mirrored them.
5.x is just awful.
Yeah dude, we have some bots here glazing GPT 5, which is undoubtedly worse than GPT 4, Gemini, Deep Seek, Grok, and Claude.
Really awesome video.. I love it.. but... Nobody investing is doing it for the money it makes. They are doing it for the control and power it gives to the victor.
3 of the 5 core principles of openAI were/are "Safety and Alignment", "Preventing Concentrated Power" and "Independence from Profit Motives". That what singled in 2015. It's painful it'll all lost due to greed.
These are marketing slogans, not "core principles". They didn't lost a thing, the mask just dropped....
@RyoMassaki They were agreed and signed on a document, supervised by the Future of Life Institute (FIL) in around 2014-2015. Do you know what I'm talking about or you just read the news?
@RyoMassaki That is not true. There was a massive internal struggle going on until last year.
Company mottos and morals are just PR statements. They will backpedal in a split second if it suits them. There is zero punishment for backpedaling and that document you mentioned has zero weight. Do you actually believe company PR statements?😅
As someone who uses AI it has a place………. It’s no where near where it needs to be but it will whether people want it to or not. The artist thing WILL be passed over. You can’t “copyright” an art style. The capabilities is where it losses. Even the simple stuff to make mundane tasks it can’t do.
1:40 incorrect, it cannot be declared as a revenew if you giving a gift card for azure credits.
microsoft does count azure credits to openai as revenue
@asnmdnssyes but not for microsoft, that was my point. The video incorrectly states that both somehow magically can declare revenew. That is false.
@isti1986They can, as long as one or the other is willing to violate reporting laws that are no longer enforced.
@asnmdnssit feels more than prepaid expenses, a type of asset account that would balance the equity issuance. Overtime, openai would debit expense and credit prepaid expense.
Try “revenue”.
Altman is the guy that would look at Skynet and say "Damn good deal."
Thought we wouldn’t notice that this video is AI generated didn’t you? Just how exactly do we pronounce “records”?
Now they have all money of Pentagon
11k views off 207 subscribers? Well done! Just subscribed! Good luck with your channel! 👍🏽👍🏽🙏🏽
So guess who stepped up to the pentagon when anthropic stepped away?
LLMs will never achieve real AI we just have clever search engines which consistently fail to deliver on their promises
This month was my last payment ... No more Ai payments ... Open Ai is going down rapidly
Trump+AI+Elon = catastrophe.
It is so amusing to me to see Ai channels using ChatGpt Ai to talk about the death of ChatGpt Ai
As investors, you must assume that ANYTHING flowing out the mouth of ANY CEO is PURE SIHT! In the same way, anything management tells you is all PURE SIHT, just as they are.
good video ..the money go round
Can't wait.
What do baby eaters eat? Jeff's World Famous Beef Jerky. Jeff will walk it over to you personally. Jeff will even provide a chef to get the beef jerky into your fridge. "A good pancake should have the consistency of baby flesh."Jerry Seinfeld
finally thank god, they desreve a boot!
Uncle Sam is bailing Sam Altman out. They gave him a defense contract.
Exactly, saying no wasn't an option because the federal government is the only way OpenAI can be saved.
@RepairBeyond Who is going to bail out Uncle Sam?
@frankblangeard8865 In one way or the other, tax payers! With the fiscal trajectory the US is having they're going to have to inflate away their debt eventually.
@frankblangeard8865Uncle Sam will
@frankblangeard8865The rest of the world.
Altman has the same psychopathic stare that a remorseless serial killer might have. The lights are on, but nobody’s home.
What a debacle. I suspect millions of us, or least I, find these systems extremely useful. The question is whether they are economical. Not everything useful has a positive ROI up and down the supply chain.
the faucet leaked had closed.
