- The prevalence of domestic violence, also known as intimate partner violence, in the US is staggering; annually, more than 10 million people are abused by an intimate partner and it is estimated that over 15.5 million children are exposed annually to adult domestic violence at home.
Healthcare settings provide vital opportunities for domestic violence survivors to encounter information about services and receive help. In this video series from Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and Lutheran Settlement House, three domestic violence survivors share their experiences and what healthcare providers should know about identifying and supporting victims of domestic violence.
