I didn't log in my apple account in to .. then how to reset
i followed method 2 with a mac but when restoring the ipad the apple logo doesnt pop up and remains on the 3:33 screen.

So how can you just bypass the initial lock screen password (4 digits I believe) on an ipad A1458 (an older unit)? The iPads (3 or 4) were given to me from the owner. All I want to do is use the built in camera system. Not steal or copy the previous owners info (boring! They were used for restaurant purposes)

Does it mean both Apple ID and Lock Screen passcode have been forgotten? You need to have your Apple ID and password in place to set up the device and use it again after resetting iPad.

iTunes at 3:12 and iPhone Unlocker at 4:41 will help you factory reset your iPhone. But you need to use your Apple ID to set up you phone from the scratch.

it did nothing for me. all it says is, it may take a few minutes to activate your ipad then it just does nothing but act like its trying to connect.

You say enter the password. Password is lost. This is the only reason I have for coming here. I cannot regain the password if I have lost or accidentally deleted it.

Once you see the recovery mode screen, release the button right away.
I have the same issue, but the recovery mode screen stays less than 1 second :/

A factory reset will remove the forgotten passcode if you follow the steps in the video. BTW, you need to turn on "Subtitles/closed captions" option at the bottom right of the video screen to show what the video said.
