I have to pay a licence fee (for the original songwriters) to upload a song for streaming, and I don't make much money from it, so I can't always upload every single cover. By becoming a Patron, you can get access free downloads and cool behind the scenes content too.
I think sometimes when you're covering songs using the actual song as a backing track it would be good to have the backing turned down more than your voice so its more distinct because you have a gorgeous voice and I wanna hear it better :)
Thank you! It is really hard to mix this though. I'm still pretty crappy at mixing in general, and especially with vocal covers with songs behind it's really hard to get the right level. Too low and it makes the cover sound really bad because you can't hear the instrumental and too high and it drowns you out! Hopefully I'll get better in time - thanks for listening lovely!
I know the feeling. I hate having to mix backing tracks with my vocals. I'm such a perfectionist and to my ears, it never seems perfectly synced.
Agreed! But you can't beat using the backing track. So much more energy and it's so fun!
