  • Two years in the making this 5 part web-series tells the story of Tao Philippines which is fast becoming one of the leading adventure travel companies in Asia. Through a life-changing experience of "deep hanging out" in the remote Palawan Islands, filmmaker Simon Woods has created five "portraits" in which the locals reflect on the core ideas behind Tao. The series explores how full immersion in islander culture can be a transformative experience for willing travellers seeking a break from their busy lives.

For those commenting, they are referring to the 700 islands and islets of that particular region and not the whole archipelago.

This is something I'm looking forward of doing when I return to the Philippines, for good - in 3 years' time. Hope this kind of tour is still existing by then. Well done, guys. Truly immersive and so beautiful. Pls keep this up. 👍

I like this particular Tao boat, looks old and worn, but seaworthy enough for the pacific waters. It has more character which adds thrill to the experience

Very cinematic, showcasing the beauty of the place and its people with a noble intention makes this film worth supporting. Can't wait for the next series.

A few years back, the best video about Palawan I saw was from Matador Network. It is clear now that you Guys are the Economic Crusaders of the Calamianes Group of Islands, not the Pirates, that saved the pristine culture, and promoted ecotourism for the benefit of the local villages. I'm a big fan.

Wow it was Matador Network who flew one of the first drones in Northern Palawan. This is long overdue.

Correct people of paradise, the real and true ancients history of Philippines was revealed by God Culture, the real name of Philippines in the Bible was Havelah a Land of Creation a garden of Eden, Garden of Eden submerged during Noah's ark flood, but the exact location of submerged Garden of Eden found and identified his name today is Tubataha Reef, also the tree of Life and tree of knowledge of good and Evil identefied and still exist until today in Philippines, check this in RUclips title Solomon Gold by God Culture supported with facts, science, archeology, artifacts and screptures base in Bible old testament, then you are the one who can decide.
