Performance: After Forever - Eccentric
This performance comes from a live recording from their concert at Pinkpop Festival back in 2004. I definitely recommend watching the original/official video without interruptions here: • After Forever - Eccent...

Floor in the 20th, is Floor now.. i love this Woman. The best Singer i ever hear, in all genres. 🤗
Personally, I don't care what Floor sings - doesn't matter, I'll listen and still love it. She could sing a sauerbraten recipe and I'd sit, enthralled, just hearing her voice.
After forever - Monolith of doubt, is really a great one. Cheers!
Definitely this!
She was so young and still very Floor. Energize Me and many more.
This was a very personal song for Floor as she got bullied in her schooldays. Here is a link to my personal favourite music video of the song 'Energize me': ruclips.net/video/fjm4BrNAf6s/видео.html
Floor's 2nd band was Revamp and this is a good sound quality. the song is "Wild Card MFVF X1"
No matter where and what she sings, this woman will probably never stop inspiring me and sending me to faraway places, even if they only exist in my head. She is one of the few artists I could listen to 24/7.
Take a listen to "Energize Me" by After Forever. It's got more .. energy.
I took a break from music and a year or 2 ago I kept seeing reaction videos to Nightwish and finally took the time to watch one for Ghost Love Score @ Wacken (GLS was one of my favorite Nightwish songs.) While listening to that I was trying to figure out were I recognized the voice from. After some research I realized that Floor had been part of After Forever which was a band I listened to a lot.
I've said this in other comments but Floor is a once in life timer performer and singer and I am privileged to get to hear her.
Its a beautiful song and performance, wonderful. Energise Me is a great After Forever song as well
So...I agree that, for me, this isn't a concert-list song that I would return to...However...it was interesting to hear a younger version of Floor perform and see the initial basis of her skills and compare her evolution to the performer that she currently is...while knowing that she is STILL a work in progress on her vocal capabilities...fun change of pace!
Suggestion: While not song suggestion related...How about a "Free The Fringe Friday" where you choose something... just because it makes you happy and want to share...👊!
Do Dreamflight by After Forever from the prog power show, great quality, not a ballad and its alot longer than this and one of Floors best performances .....so it checks off your boxes
Yes

after forever is the first step to EPICA
Wow, what a good song to react to 🎶🐱👤🦄 Alsoo I see a Richard Dawkins book on your piano. Fun how that ties in with Nightwish. But fun fact, Floor Jansen still uses that pionast Joost van den Broek up to this day.
Young Floor. Never heard this song before, thanks to you!
Me again. Listening once more. I was wondering, what would this sound like today, sung by Floor. As we know, she has developed greatly over the years
Cool, another other great oldie by Floor 🙂 Tip: Floor singing with Simone the "Sweet Curse" is epic too 🤗
Afterforever "Energize me" official video... the first song I heard Floor sing and it gave me goose bumps
Floor wrote this song as well as sings it.
Hot damn, that was beautiful...On to my playlist !!! Next from After Forever : Floor & Irene Jansen - Who I am live at P60, Netherlands (2007)!!!! Pretty please with sugar on top . NWSU
Floor's vocal notes are awesome here. After Forever live in Bibelot 2003 - Intrinsic - Vilin Music
I tend to agree with you on this one, her voice as always is spot on, but not one I'd listen to very often as well, that's what makes the world go round, everyone has different feelings and taste on music. Look forward to some more AF, and maybe some ReVamp, the band she was with just before NW
If you going to do After Forever, I would also recommend Epica. One of the guitars Mark Jansen (not related) was in After Forever and then started Epica
There’s a few songs on early Epica albums that are continuations of songs from After Forever. After Forever was I believe Floor’s first band or first major band. She was so young but her voice was already amazing. It’s grown since then but you can already hear her talent
Also I would recommend Floor’s now disbanded ReVamp and the project Northward
For other bands,
I also recommend Savatage, Trans-Siberian Orchestra, Dr. Butcher/Jon Oliva’s Pain, Chris Caffery, Machines of Grace/Circle II Circle, and Archon Angel
Energize me official video and Monolith of doubt live show awesome , thanks 👌
This was from a concept album called Invisible Circles, the album is about child abuse and the toxic cycles people get trapped in. While it's not everyone's taste, can't deny it's an impressive album. For something a bit more energetic and not depressing try Face Your Demons: ruclips.net/video/azrxdxtVr-k/видео.html
After forever Monolith of doubt 2002 from the Kopspijkers tv show with live violin players at the side of the stage!
I have a suggestion for you..it's poets of the fall..from Alexander Theater in Helsinki 2020..Angel is the song..
Dreamflight..ProgPower USA ( 2007 ) 🙏 Please.
I'm a fan of Floor (AF and Revamp ) and of Nightwish ( with Tarja ) at the same time, but now i'm a fan of Floor (soloprojects ) and Nightwish. :D
Energize me is cool. Monolith of Doubt,. Joost is playing the piano and he is also helping her with her solo album. She might have wrote it.
The piano playing is superb on this track. For a ballad, it's full of surprises.
Joost van den Broek - the keyboard player and composer of many After Forever's songs, the first ReVamp album, a very good friend of Floor and now a producer (i.e. Epica). Still you can hear him mostly in Ayreon but let's not forget Floor's cover of Alone. Amazing musician and composer.
@@nick74bul Indeed. The man’s a supreme talent.
Who i am if you want to see floor and her sister sing together
Of 'energize me' there is also a version with a string quartet: ruclips.net/video/uzW1jDAt69Q/видео.html starts with about 2 minute interview in Dutch talking about how metal is different from chamber music. Floor: I have done many things in my life, this is not really a strange setting for me. Arrangement for string quartet made by Joost van den Broek who you might know from the piano in 'alone' and the keyboards in Ayreon Universe among many other things.
Next time Monolith of doubt!
This song is from the third album (first without Mark Jansen - founder of Epica) called Invisible Circus.
It's a concept album that talks about a couple who work and leave the child in the background. This liric / lyric (?) is the child's vision. All lyrics are in the child's view.
She talks about not repeating the invisible circle, that is, when the child grows up, he ends up repeating the same mistakes as his parents.
In this album the band is more prog metal. There are still many classical singing parts and symphonic arrangements, but the focus is on the prog.
My sugestion is Dreamflight ruclips.net/video/GBLke4zeZuI/видео.html
energize me is amazing
My favorite among the older songs is "Follow in the cry": ruclips.net/video/BNZvf0aur8o/видео.html with a nice oriental touch.
The first time I saw them on stage was in Paris in 2002 when they opened for Nightwish. They covered the classic Iron Maiden song "The Evil That Men Do" too : ruclips.net/video/un-el_QSen0/видео.html , a really good one
I didn't hear this song but it was beautiful. Floor voice is like drugs, so addictive.
Her first album with AF - Prison Of Desire (2000) is an true instant floorgasm - ruclips.net/video/QuFqy2EbKOk/видео.html
My recomendation - one of the best song I've ever heard - Leaden Legacy (Live in Bibelot 2003 - Vilin Music) - ruclips.net/video/0WarP_tfBnw/видео.html
After Forever - young Floor, 21 year's old, but you'll recognize the style - Monolith of Doubt Live At Kopspijkers (2002) ruclips.net/video/3TmKHkQx45U/видео.html
Energize me (official video) ruclips.net/video/fjm4BrNAf6s/видео.html
This song Floor wrote about her mother, who is in pain every day: ruclips.net/video/rGCoiSWZjM4/видео.html
One band you could maybe consider is AMORPHIS. A good start is their song "Amongst Stars" featuring Anneke Van Giersbergen ruclips.net/video/Jg2VqUTNjsw/видео.html
if you want more operatic singing try than a after forever song energize me floor jansen energize me and rloq live podium uitmarkt 2009 song begins at 2,10
I came across your channel this evening and watched a few reactions. I notice that every time in your intro, you are quite negative/apologetic. This sets a negative mood before the reaction. I think it is important to remember this is your channel, you don't owe anything to anyone and you don't need to explain your decisions. I would like your videos more if you focused on yourself and what you think of the song you react to. Even if you don't like the song, an honest reaction can be better to watch than a reaction to a song you do love but have all kinds of apologies in the intro like with Phantom of the Opera
