Last night down the hill from us was a transformer fire which was lighting up the sky orange and pink and was shooting out sparks. I could also hear the arcing noise even above the howl of the wind. However the power is on within 1/2 mile of us in both directions, so hopefully it won't take much for my street to get restored.

It was a fireman actually. He told me to go back to my car.
