Baltimore, MD... I wore out my well pressed bootleg CD of this concert called Baltimore Blues and/or Live From Baltimore. And yes, 1985. Phil Collins would jump in on drums for a few shows during this tour but not on this night. Chris Stainton, Don Duck Dunn, Jamie Oldaker, Tim Renwick.
it was early of january 1987 in san francisco, cal.when i saw my friend from casino staff at the music store, i ask him a favor to buy august tape for me and he did when i brought the tapes to the lady cashier she said "oh my god" maybe she was shocked caused i buy 17 tapes(lynyrd, steely dan, grateful dead, marley, dylan, derek & d dominoes, cream, elp etc)..the cruise ship was on dry docked but the ship was hold by the sherrif on debt issue and company send us home to phil..
Definitely the 85 Behind The Sun Tour. Whoever said Richmond may be right. I had the VHS copy of Hartford and it sounded Slightly different. But then, we're comparing an audio copy to a video performance. There is a video cut of Clapton's Hartford's Concert on RUclips.
This has to be from the Behind the Sun or August Tours in 85 or 87, probably the latter as the bassist sounds more like Nathan East than Duck Dunn. Either way awesome and for me sadly Clapton's last years worth listening to.
@@pabloperez4063 the cassette tapes and vhs of behind the sun issue is much better, this one is different.. i first heard it on tape i think it was 1986 in phil. when i work as an ofw in a cruise ship in wpb, fla.,from 1988-2020..i saw the vhs tapes on the video shop and i rented it..only cassette and vhs tapes exist on that time..now im 62, staying for good in my country
Awesome, no one could ever make my heart sing, except for Eric Clatton!
I've always loved Let It Rain from the first time I heard it. Eric's guitar solo for the last third is simply unbelievable!
This is great, I shall Eric in 1990 at the Philly Spectrum. Remember, King Biscuit Flower Hour, playing at midnight on Q102 Philadelphia once a week.
Man he sounded great in '85, you just can't replace EC's voice

I've listened to all these songs most of my life. Great medley, great sound. Great talent.
Behind the Sun tour Richmond VA concert
And this, dear friends, is why I'm an internet addict. Often made it a point to catch KBFH back in Boston years.
First got into Clapton in 1986 when the excellent August came out. Also seen him in concert with Steve Winwood at Wembley Arena in London.
