I'm just picturing my parents renting this for me back in 7th grade and me being able to beat it in 11 minutes. They would have been so disappointed that I was elevating alternative sexual archetypes in the Agrabah marketplace.
If you simply walk off (don't jump) the ledge and hold jump, you'll get a super jump. You can easily land on the platform with the Genie head. But if you want to land on the left side like I did here, you need to swing your sword right before stepping off the ledge. I believe Aladdin bounces a pixel or two higher by doing this.
The same trick works with flag poles. This is how you grab the first extra life in Agrabah Rooftops. It's definitely something the developers intended.
