I was sexually assaulted by two ppl that I had grown up with and were supposed to be "friends" of mine. THIS is why so many victims of sexual abuse either don't speak out or take years to. Especially when the abuser is a high profile person. They have to put up with not being believed, being called a liar, public humiliation and torment. Sometimes I have to shake my head at the world we live in.
This is very similar to the Jimmy Savile case in the UK. He was a very famous television personality who did a huge amount of work raising money for charity and who was also regarded as a saint who “walked on water” while he literally abused hundreds of minors - including ones confined to hospital beds as a result of spinal injuries - over decades. Sadly he died before his victims were able to get justice.

I recently watched the movie Paterno which is about this case, but from the side of Joe Paterno, I find both sides of this case so interesting but also I feel my stomach churning and my head reeling, not only from the things this man did to his victims but also from the lengths the school and authorities went to in order to make sure he was innocent at the end of the day, that he was the good guy with a heart of gold, they were all blind to the monster he really was and it disgusts me, it truly does. I'm glad Aaron stood up for himself and made sure his voice was heard and even though it took a long time to get there, he fought and got the justice he deserved.

Every time I see things like this with these crimes involving children I say the same thing. WHY doesn't a sexual crime against a child carry an automatic life sentence?

Jerry Sandusky is a former football coach for Penn State and he ran a camp for youth football, where he met the boys that he molested. Poor Aaron . . . I fully support him, and all the other boys that had to go through the same thing.

The response from the principle is Typical! There is an Epidemic of child abuse in this country of children in their own "homes" by "parents" because the child is surrounded by LOSERS who don't want to take action For the child and create a "disturbance" of the status quo! What is happening to child who are abused at "home" NEVER gets Reported!! If this didn't happen in the school with a coach and it happened by "parents" we would not even hear about it! I was NEVER heard to this Day about psych abuse and torture at "home" and have been abused Over and Over for Decades! People Don't want to hear it! The youth and powerless are the emotional garbage dump! There is the answer,, Sandusky was given the "benefit of the doubt" over and over while the truth teller was treated like he was the crazy one by having to tell the story over and over! So, what does that tell you? It's NOT JUST Sandusky! It's those who don't want their image of him shattered. This is why people need to give the power to those who Need it including themselves and NOT continue propping up those who already passed their expiration date. It's the laws of nature. The youth need the attention,, not to be sacrificed For the false idol, "adult",, that's BACKWARDS ! Climate change
