    Smiling!
    Glad to see someone using freeze plugs, looked at a lot of ways online but never run across freeze plugs and being an old fart, I wondered why and here you are doing it. Haven't done my XS650 yet cause kind of like the starter when the battery is strong enough to use it. Batter a little low, kick it and she always cranks up.
    Worst sounding starter ever! Big Smile!

      The start delete are usually done on choppers or bobbers anyway but I run a starter on my 77xs650 dual sport I built. Yes, a strong battery helps and the starters have always made a horrible noise yet they still work. Thanks for watching.

    Good man, you are great help. A fool that hides his folly is better than a wise man that hides his wisdom. Thank you for sharing your know how!

    I have owned a XS for 30 years and up until 2 years ago when I stated rebuilding it thought it was kick start only (didn't have an elec start button).
    I now know how to leave the starter out that I have never used. Thanks.

    Always diggin your videos Mister Miyagi! Over the last 2.5 yrs we’ve built two XS650’s (recently with 750 kits) and last year we raced our first season at SpeedWeek. Bonneville! Your vids were sourced numerous times and we owe you a ton of thanks. We’re gearing up to do another “Illegal test track day” south of the Olympics (north of Montesano) next month and are wondering if you’d like to join. Tuning is an endless foray into the unknown and we’re hoping to gather all the wisdom we can before heading back to the salt in August. Please reach out if you’d like to weigh in! We’d be honored to pick up a hotel room for ya or whatever you like. Let us know, thanks again and happy tuning. Dan Osborne / Mike Dillard Hot Carl Racing

      Yes, having a electric starter does help with the foot pain. Have fun with the make over. I need to do another one myself if I can find one. Thanks for watching!

      @outlaw86custom  Год назад

      Normally it's on the right hand side cover has a will cover that has a brass screen filter for the oil. But I'm still not sure what you're asking, can you send a picture of your setup?

    Great vid Mr. miyagi.
    I just bought my first xs650 it's a 1979 and it's a bobber! The whole bike needs wired up. I've got a freind who has a dab hand at electrics and has rewired my other bikes in the past.
    Where would be the best place to get a wireing diagram from for my mate to study before we do custom wireing on the xs650?

    • @outlaw86custom
      @outlaw86custom  2 года назад +1

      There is a lot of wiring diagrams posted on the internet you could try that or one of the xs650 manuals we'll have them. Thanks for watching
