Gentlemen Marry Brunettes is a terrible film! I forced myself to sit through it once. Jane Russell wanted to get the kind of notice Marilyn got for Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, so her character is basically a Dumb Brunette, a bad imitation of Loreli Lee. She is not good in the role at all. The male lead is played by the actor who played the owner of Mr. Ed in the infamous talking horse sitcom from the 50s. It is a very weird and poorly written, poorly acted, movie.
