    Been running Lazer Triple R28 and triple R750 since January 2017 and the Triple R28 blows peoples minds when they see it in use at night, even the light output of the 2 x 750’s is huge for such a small lightbar.

    Legend, you just saved me from making a minor mistake. I was about to buy the Ultra Vision 24" Nitro Max, and watching your video, I can see an improvement in light output. I don't want kms of light, I can't see that far, I just want the best and brightest light a few hundred metres in front. As they're the same price, the light seems that little better from the Lazer. Sold. Thanks.
    Maybe the lazer is that little better because they're less, larger, all spot vs the ultra vision are smaller, more lights, and a combination of spot and spread.

    One thing I would be interested to know is the lense affected by using a public car wash. What the problem iv had with other brands is the get crows feet / crazing of the lense due to the ph level of the car wash used by commercial car washes. Iv tried to claim warranty with a major brand and they would not replace the lense since I used a car wash. So my question is. Are these affected in the same way ?

      Lightforce lightbars and their rok lights are made in China. Their LED spotties like htx2 are Australian made though. Can certainly tell the difference, had two Lightforce led bars and a set of htx2s on my vehicle but took them off after a year after they began to corrode and switched to ultra led bars and the build quality is outstanding.

    A CRI index of only 80? That's actually pretty bad.

    • @AlloffroadAu
      @AlloffroadAu  2 года назад +1

      not sure not many companies state the CRI just figures though I go by how good they are in use.

    • @loadinglevelone
      @loadinglevelone 2 года назад

      @@AlloffroadAu Yeah, real life test are always best. LEDs in general have really never been great at reproducing all visual wavelength. This is one thing older halogen lamps excelled at, with a CRI close to 100. For LEDs a rating above 90 is considered good. Some top of the line, high quality LEDs reach as high as 96-98. A CRI of 80 is considered ok, but not great. With such low CRI the light starts to look unnatural. Most people wont notice, but you would not use such low CRI led's in lets say photography lighting, for this very reason that the light output are missing quite a few wavelengths of visible lights. It perfectly acceptable though for the application of work lights or car lighting as is for this case. Just don't believe the manufacturers proclamation of great light output with a CRI >80. That's on the borderline of false advertising.

    • @AlloffroadAu
      @AlloffroadAu  2 года назад

      hm strange as I think that's what makes the Lazer stand out it's just a pleasant well-distributed light

    • @loadinglevelone
      @loadinglevelone 2 года назад +1

      @@AlloffroadAu Not strange at all. I have Lazer lights myself and find them fantastic. It's hard to visually tell that the CRI is low when driving along, lighting up uneven textured surfaces, which is why I say that a CRI of 80 is perfectly acceptable for this applications. Also, a low CRI has nothing to do with the light distribution, intensity or color temperature, which is top of the line with these Lazer lights.
      Most people won't notice a low CRI unless they see a direct side by side comparison against a equal intensity high CRI light source, but once you start to notice it's hard not to. A low CRI light feels unnatural. It's like you can tell that something is not quite right, but its hard to put a finger on what it is.
      It's ironic how manufacturers boast about the high CRI index of >80 these days, when old school halogen lamps were in fact better. Not better at intensity, lumen, power consumption, heat or whatnot. For almost every aspect LEDs outperforms halogen lamps, except on one account. Halogen lamps have a superior CRI index to LED's.
