Always excited to see a new episode! If you have any extra road vehicle storage space it might have been a good idea to store those two busses for later. Now when you "sell" a vehicle out in the game world you actually are scrapping it and have to pay. Those were fairly new vehicles you not only bought, but then paid about 3,500 each to have scrapped when they might have served well on another line. Also love the embankment. As far as the choice between parking and a dock if you ever revisit it - why not have both? You could even pretend you're using roll on roll off ferries where some tourists are bringing their cars.
9:00 I think it will be a good idea to set default "workers outside CO" to much lower value (from 100 to 5 for instance, or even 0) - that way, even if citizens will go there, it will be a trickle and not a flood that cuts amount of hands in industry
Loving this small town more and more! I thought for the monument hill a cable car would be nice. Maybe you could work with embankments to make it like a viewpoint. All of this is far in the future. Right now I'm already looking forward to the next settlement and oil industry.
Looking nice with the embankments. I think a beach bar or cafe would be great on the corner of the road. I saw your repair station with “nothing to repair” are all your farm vehicles in good condition? Wondering if auto search is out of range since the move.
Yeah, very likely that's the case. I did change it while messing around between episodes, but never remember to do it while doing the actual recording. But I will notice broken down farming equipment sooner or later, and at that point, it won't take long to get things repaired. :)
I have a couple thoughts, as per usual. - The embankments look great! Can the citizens access them when there's a road next to them (since they function like sports arenas, I think)? - Would it be handy to have two universities, one for education and one for research?
As for second - not really, first because students are hard to deter from such "research facility" (cheese centered around loyalty required from students needed and not reliable) plus you want to educate citizens during and inbetween research projects
We can just add footpaths going across the road, the connection points are far enough to give a bit of wiggle room. :) One uni is enough, not all the staff does research. Building one big uni is the same as building several smaller ones.
If speeding up the game has a negative impact on efficiency, and you keep doing it despite promising you'd stop once the citizens arrived, wouldn't it be possible that even at the lowest speed it makes all the services go slightly slower to the point teachers start dying before the increase in educated citizens happen?
I adjusted them further. More specifically, I use these values: $SUNAMBIENT 0.7 0.7 1.0 1.0 Basically, the first 3 numbers are red/green/blue. Increase them to your taste. I have blue a bit higher than the red and green, since it's the usual nighttime color used in media.
I agree. I just wanted to have the boundaries dealt with, so I know where to place the streets. I will definitely do more terraforming when I get around to building stuff on it.
Plz make the refinery nice and symmetrical and also make fabric factory connections nice and symmetrical like in Captain of industry. If possible make a large refinery complex
The area right next to the customs houses are reserved for farming, and the other deposits are relatively far from each other for conveyor belts. the ones just up the river are better situated for steel.
Hey, love your Videos They recently updated the soundtrack of W&R, would you consider putting the New Songs into your Videos background music, I've been watching for a long time and it's refreshing to hear a bit of new music.
Hey its me again. I want just a confirmation on your part about the terrain of thus republic, because, the 6 peaple that read my comment love the map like me and we are kinda sad how you just buldoze all of thoses natural hills and rivers so it would be easier to build, but its makes the map much uglyer than before, you present this map for us with beautiful rivers and mountains and you buldoze every thing, so i know its much cost efficient to do that, but please dont do that. Try to make it more natural and make the city more combine with the map, it makes it more realistic because most city naturally blend then with the reagion and it makes more beautiful and more happy. It will problaby be hell trying to do such task but for the sake of this republic dont buldoze every hill and river you see! (Also inglish bad soory for it me from Brazzili)
I only level the terrain right around the town, since the game is very alergic to uneven ground. That's the reason why I'm so meticulous about the railroad embankments, and with road ramps. Even a little bit of terraforming can result in super-ugly clipping and bumpy rides on the roads. A fully flat surface prevents that from happening. I usually leave the less densely built in areas with the original elevation, since it's less likely to happen there.
You can always come back in later and add some small elevation changes around the unused areas of the town, but I have to say, the sheet smoothness of your town layout has me in awe. Love you videos Hmunda, even though I haven't played the game myself in quite a while, following your playthrough is really interesting for me!

I'm not seeing I have OCD but I do love how much you use the grid to snap to.
I really like that waterfront ^w^

Will be done in E8, which I just finished recording. :)

H "embankment" muda, love it!

You can make a small roundabout with the one way roads.
im loving this
Beautiful map. I like what you are doing with it, too. Cheers 🇦🇺
Love your video's as always ❤ Maybe call the town the swag town 😁
How do you do the dragbox delete and upgrade when it comes to infrastructure?
You can hold shift, which lets you draw a selection box.
For vehicle maintenance, isnt aluminium only required for aircraft?
Likely. But I thought might as well stock up on it, it won't hurt. :)

Are you using the night settings charly prior had posted or did you adjust anything on them? I use charlies ones but it looks way darker 🧐
I adjusted them further. More specifically, I use these values:
$SUNAMBIENT 0.7 0.7 1.0 1.0
Basically, the first 3 numbers are red/green/blue. Increase them to your taste. I have blue a bit higher than the red and green, since it's the usual nighttime color used in media.
Thanks for the values, I'll give them a try, yours look definitely better but clearly shows it's night!
@@TobiasFischerTF Keep in mind that I still use the re-shade to make the shadows a bit darker, so your mileage may vary. :)
party hq looks squished in doesnt look right
You mean the shape? Not much I can do about that. I'm not entirely happy with the placement, but I can't change the shape. :D
I feel like that hill is not too realistic after changing its shape.
I agree. I just wanted to have the boundaries dealt with, so I know where to place the streets. I will definitely do more terraforming when I get around to building stuff on it.

are you going to use the powerplant that uses oil or the one of the powerplants that uses fuel bitumen?
Don't know yet. Will likely be the oil plant, since we have a lot of it near the town.
The coal and iron are right next to this town.
The area right next to the customs houses are reserved for farming, and the other deposits are relatively far from each other for conveyor belts. the ones just up the river are better situated for steel.
@@Hmuda Steel mill that is supplied by barges, perhaps?

I keep forgetting to re-do the song list in the videos. I still use the old starting template I used in the old series, so I need to update it.
👌🏿
