Saw a 15 trolley 2 weeks ago on Richmond Ave around Somerset Str. It was night time and the car was all lit up. I used to ride those trolleys on 5th street in Olney my hood. The air conditioning was great, just open the window.
You say you hate the Silverliner IVs but trust me, when they’re retired, you’ll miss them. It’s like the old saying goes: “You don’t appreciate anything until it’s gone.”
I don’t know about that. I will definitely feel badly when the SV5’s are gone. Who knows how much longer they’ll be around but I want to enjoy them as much as I can.
Your "local" train reminds me of the Clocker that I took home to Philadelphia after the 1986 Statue of Liberty Centennial fireworks. It stopped everywhere and I got home in the early morning! (But that is STILL the greatest fireworks show I've ever seen!)
We were both in Philly at the same time, but I took the LIRR-NJT-SEPTA route. I was able to get that 22 buck fare on the Keystone for the ride back and that was a dog. I went to get the PCC's but they had buses on it. Ended up fanning the Broad St line and one of the other trolley lines instead. Looks like we were at the City Hall station at the same time, but going in opposite directions. Got back at Penn station 20 minutes before you did, enough time to catch the Far Rockaway train home
Sure, miss the old R designations, such R7. I say this all the time, Holmesburg Jct. brings back a lot of memories of my childhood. When you past over Rhawn Street, that building is where my uncle worked for nearly 50 years. From June of 72 to December 2019. I was hoping that I would've been employed by SEPTA Regional Rail or Amtrak, because I really had a passion for Trains at one time.
A nice tribute to Willie Mays. Sorry you couldn't get a cheaper fare on the train. I had a similar experience; someone bought the last cheap seat. Thanks Tim💚👌👍
I used to work at 1901 Market St, the Independence Blue Cross building, 39th floor. I cannot believe how tall the the newer buildings are. Typical Septa, hardly anyone on the trains. I would do the R7 to Trenton, NJT to Penn and the LIRR out to Ronkonkoma on the island. talk about a long ass ride!
I was wondering when you would get to ride on a bomber train. I love those ACS-64's and those old Shoreliner cars! It's neat to see them on a mostly EMU Railroad system. Great video as always!
I remember taking the train from Penn Sta. to JFK stadium (in Philly) to the Army&Navy games in the early 70's. It was always fun to watch the "grown ups" getting "jacked up" in the bar car. It was even more fun watching them attempt to walk from the tracks to the stadium entrance...
My friends in Lancaster take me to games on occasion at Citizens Bank. You're right, it is one of the better ballparks, though as an Atlantan I'm a bit partial to Truist Park (which is only 9 miles from my house). And even though he was always on the "other team", I always had immense respect for Willie Mays. Truly one of the greats. (Looking forward to the MLB game in Birmingham tonight.)
Back in 1980 when the Phillies won the World Series, a buddy and I took the train down from Reading for the big victory parade. I believe they had an E9 on the point and one trailing as a push-pull. I'll tell you, by the time we reached Phoenixville, that train was packed full! And I'll never forget that parade down Broad St. Totally wild! A lot of booze and a lot of public nudity, to say the least! That kind of experience would never happen today.
I’ve been to a game at Citizens Bank Park before. It was a game against the Braves, July 2022. It’s a beautiful stadium and there’s a beautiful view of downtown Philadelphia.
A while back I did find your Facebook page and sent you a couple of messages but I guess you don't go on there much never heard back from you Love your videos man
Hey there brother it's Robert I know that you have liked the 2cat locomotive well 4120 is no longer in service due to bad weather front end was very damage check out from other subscribers
just did a rear view ride NYP to Boston Back Bay. was not able to stand in the back because the conductor said it was a safety hazard but he let me keep my suction cup mounted there. because I wasn’t constantly monitoring the footage the quality could have been better but it’s still definitely usable. was gonna film until South Station but they told me to take it off so as to not interfere with the turnaround.
Well, we can't always get what we want, and that is the Phillies winning every single game. It would be nice if they won every single game if they made it to the playoffs. 😂 Good video though.
Good Saturday afternoon to you Tim. Another great Philadelphia video. I watch all your content and have a question for you. Today someone posted a video titled the longest video of a system you cannot film it was about the path train. Is that true not allowed to film it? A few years back action kid was riding it back from Jersey City and filmed it. That's a shame could be some interesting video why would they have such restrictive regulations?
As you can tell I like other teams but I represent New York to the fullest win or lose even the Mets and the Knicks so when it's time to go to that parade we're deserving of it
Hope you enjoyed the game and get back home safe get back to the MN LIR and even Jersey Transit no hate for Philly I like when you do all the trains One more thing real guy it sound funny at the end of the show when you said to someone we lost Mr Long Island
Rail guy your next door neighbor home team Even the other team a few miles away representing New York to the fullest I'm not saying you have to because I'm quite sure there's some Philly people that represent the New York Mets and Yankees for sure but you a different kind of guy you even rep the Philly trains or Pennsylvania lines compared to the metropolitan and Jersey trains
Well, if you can find something in the vernacular or something etched in stone that says that I can’t do that, let me know. But not to worry, the New York Metro area will still be represented.
Remember to take the the Philly shirt off before you get back to the city I remember I wasn't even a fan that just happened to have a hat The Pittsburgh penguins I'm not sure I don't I'm not into hockey like so and I came upon a mob of ranger fans and did I almost get mobbed where they screaming at me were they screaming at me and I was defending cuz I had to hat but I do represent rangers New York all the way well guy I'm not trying to bust your balls it's all in fun I remember following you last year the last few years when you went to the game and I had to express my feelings
Well I guess you can be next door to a team and like another team a few states over and real guy I think they stopped calling the Cleveland Indians because they didn't want to offend other people anymore
I'm in love with trains love riding them.

Go Phils!!! I’m going on Sunday for another home game against the Oakland A’s. I’m planning on wearing a jersey I have of Casty.
That was a cool ride along thanks 😊😊😊
Thank you for sharing your trip. I haven't been to Philly since covid. I have to get back there.
It’s a great town. I’ve been there many times since Covid.

Well, that train I boarded I was the first one on so it was originating out of there so it was empty
Hi Tim! Long Island boy is a Philly Phanatic---interesting!
It is what it is
12:18 that looks like me in the Bryson Scott #5 t-shirt Hot day at the park. Took Patco to Broad street line

Awesome!!! I would like to see the Phillies play the Astros there in August rematch of the 2022 World Series!!!
I agree those new uniforms are horrible. I like the baby blue with the P. I also like the red with phillies spelled out.

I don’t feel comfortable on social media if I don’t know the person. Just my philosophy.
@@3985uprr That's understandable knowing what's happened to our great country
I didn't know that you traveled back to "The Bank" to see Schwarber and my Phillies play!
It was long overdue
Couldn't agree more!
Hope you had a great time, dispite the outcome of the game.
Nice video 😊

Getting train and boat horns in New London today
@@3985uprr oh nice I'm on my way back on 2193 now, i'm pretty sure the engineer's name is josh and he gives crazy hornshows. i took 190 on the way up.
How do you know what train has what type of silverliners?
Many times it’s the luck of the draw although the septa.org site is helpful
Least you enjoy It. I survived the Yankees and red socks game at Fenway last Saturday and yes the Yankees lost
I would’ve been deliriously happy if I was at Fenway for that game
Glad Juneteenth was on Wed instead Thursday..Another collapse for NJT and Amtrak Tim..Take care
I was fortunate that day because it was a concern of mine
the Cleveland MLB team is now the Guardians(as I know that you know)....change is good right??? LOL
Sometimes, but not in this case

They have a photo policy but it’s the luck of the draw if you get caught
Yay
As you can tell I like other teams but I represent New York to the fullest win or lose even the Mets and the Knicks so when it's time to go to that parade we're deserving of it
Sorry it's my words are not coming out correct I'm speaking talk to text and sometime forget to check if every everything is correct
hi retired railfan horn guy
Ummmm. Dan Baker
I couldn’t think of his first name initially
Hope you enjoyed the game and get back home safe get back to the MN LIR and even Jersey Transit no hate for Philly I like when you do all the trains

Well I guess you can be next door to a team and like another team a few states over and real guy I think they stopped calling the Cleveland Indians because they didn't want to offend other people anymore
As far as the Indians goes, it was foolish. They originally named the team, the Indians to honor a native American baseball player.
I agree I don’t know why they changed the name. The Indianians should not offend anyone if anything it represents the unity a baseball team is.
