This was really interesting. I am both a textile and family history enthusiast, so this presentation was informative and enlightening. I appreciate so much that these samplers are sometimes the sole record of a woman's life outside of the documentation indicating she was someone's daughter or wife.
This was an interesting talk. Thank you. I am in possession of a family heirloom sampler from 1810 and the preservation techniques suggested were incorporated before I received it in the 1980s. I hope it continues to be in as good condition as the samplers show here.
