Beautiful city. That was a serious climb to the top of the castle. One of the highest I can recall anywhere I’ve ever been. I pumped up fast and my legs were BURNING!
This was fantastic!!!! Greatly done! You could really do top 20 or 30 of Peloponnese places like : Kalamata Stoupa Kardamyli Foneas Pylos Kosta Navarino Koroni Finikoyda Epikourios Apollon full ancient temple that always faces Sirius Neda waterfalls Odontos train ride Patras Neighbouring islands like Kythira, Zakybthos, Elafonisos Rio Antirio bridge And the top coast of the Peloponnese The list goes on there is even skii villages. Enjoy people this region doesn’t disappoint I highly recommend it 🎉 And hiking the Tayetos !!!!
NAFPLIO: BIOGRAPHY OF A GREEK TOWN by Matt Stanley is a great book all about the history and buildings of Nafplio - ideal if you love the place or are planning a visit.
As always you did an excellent job of providing video and telling some of the history of the area. I also liked the idea of seeing the inside of your hotel room to get an idea of what is available in the areas your at. Interesting the red dot in the mirror, that would have worried me if you hadn't mentioned that the TV was viewed in the mirror. 👍👍👍👍👍
Thank you so much, Andy! I’m so glad you enjoy the history included in the videos. It’s always nice to see what you get for your money with hotels in the area 👍
Beautiful footage and video. We just put out the last vlog of our Greece series. You are really close to Mycenae, which we loved. If you are looking for some great info on the Greek UNESCO sites, you will likely enjoy the series. I look forward to seeing more of your content. Have an awesome 2023. - Turtle
Yes, I headed to Mycenae in last week's video - what a magical place! Thanks for taking the time to comment, I'll have to check out your Greece videos to help plan my return trip in May!
The cheapest and in my opinion, best option is to rent a car and self-drive. The roads are very well-kept and with Waze or Google Maps you can easily navigate to all of the amazing sites. If you don't have a European license, you'll have to make sure to have an international driver's permit (which you can get from AAA in the US or CAA in Canada). If you don't want to drive you can hire a guide/transport for your time in the region. I've used www.tours-transfers.gr a few times, ask for Christos he's the best.

I'll be setting up base there for my Peloponnese trip soon. Thanks for the insights and tips!😊
A great choice for ancient history and beach lovers! Also a perfect getaway in winter as it is one of the sunniest places in Europe.
Happy Saturday, Laura! Hunkering down for this one. It's raining today here in Southern California. Saludos! ☺🙌
Hope the start of the week has brought you some better weather!

Hi Laura - how did you travel around the Peloponnese? I’m travelling there in a couple of months but doesn’t look like there is much public transport.
