The whole possessed creepy/killer child thing is overdone to death. Just from this trailer, I can pretty much tell how this whole movie is gonna play out. I have nightmares with better premise than this.
It’s not clear how the kids and eventually adults get possessed within the ruins. They essentially become creatures (some type of bug related to a lotus lol) that are also intelligent. it all occurs when “some green damn light” appears and calls to them while the damn kids are looking over a pit within a ruin they all ventured in. It’s not apparent “how” they became such creatures while still using the kids body as a vessel. I think what they don’t show us is when you fall into the pit. I think at this point they somehow get possessed (it’s quite odd). In the movie there is a part where the cabin has one of those damn green lanterns,.. you know, the ones that zaps the shit out of bugs. Well., we know bugs are drawn to the “light” and so there’s some comparison to the “light” that’s in the ruin that has drawn the kids and others. Since they are “bugs” this explains why they appear in certain locations quickly. Lmao, I suppose they fly but never show this. It was sorta a give a way when the bimbo gets out of there, most likely drives 45 to 55 mph for a good minute enough to get out of there and parks and then all of of a sudden they appear less than 1/4 mile from her… Anyway, it’s an okay watch if you have nothing better to do and don’t mind spending a few bucks.
