I love Jia but she needs to be super consistent this season if she wants to at least fight for a podium at jgpf and jworlds against Mao Shimada and Ami Nakai, she still doesn't have ultrace c element, why she doesn't try to do the combination jump in the second half of the program at least?

Her coaching team is not pushing her to learn ultra c jumps right now because they're focusing on the other elements. I think that's smart considering Mao Shimada is not even age eligible for the Olympics until 2030...That's a long time to avoid potentially getting injured from practicing ultra c elements at such a young age. Rika (who had a 3A and 4S) missed the Olympics because of her injuries and is still not fully healed. Wakaba had to take a break due to injuries as well. Of course other skaters get injuries from practicing non-ultra c elements too, but I think Jia's team is trying to pace her to minimize potential injuries. Longevity is much needed in women's singles skating. Take a look at how fast the Russian girls are crashing and burning from learning ultra c jumps at a really young age. Once their bodies are broken by the age of 17/18, there are a bunch of newer and younger girls waiting to take their place. That being said, I wish Jia would branch off and do more fast-paced and dramatic programs. I hope we will get to see it one day

Also I heard when she was a novice she got a serious injury and i dont know how she is now, but according to what her coach said last year even after completely healing, she still feels pain at the injury site when she practices ultra c elements

she has been super consistent and she beat ami nakai at jgpf, worlds and took silver without 3a. so i don't get what's you talking about :)
