    Hi Daniel, can you make a video for your Camera settings for Street Photography especially for photos like in this video. Thank you very much.

      Hey there, theres a high contrast video coming very soon, but not so much settings. Go out on a sunny day, set your camera to f8 and a shutter speed of 250th of a second and more and youre good. Ill make a note of your question and baken it into another video in the future. Cheers for the question

    Really like your videos - very informative but not boring 👍🏻. Also - thnx for being honest & sharing some of your bloopers. As just a watcher, I tend to believe that making these videos are easy-peasy. Obviously, a lot of work goes into them. So - thank you for your hard work. It is appreciated.

    Hi great information and photos. I am learning a bit about spot metering. Do you use this for your photos? Also, if using this technique, is there a difference when taking Black and white or color when using spot metering?

    • @DanielBryn
      @DanielBryn  9 месяцев назад

      Hey there, many thanks! I sometimes use spot metering, especially when doing high contrast street photos with a "pocket" of light I want to expose for. I have this programmed on one of the front buttons on my camera for ease of access. Regarding difference between B&W vs colour photos, I dont know. Hope this helped, and thanks for watching my video

    I like this direction of photography. Thank you for your work. How often do you have to crop a frame using this sensor? I'm thinking about switching from x-t4 to xt5.

    • @DanielBryn
      @DanielBryn  Год назад

      Hey thanks a bunch! I crop if I think the image will be better. And to be honest between xt4 and 5..... Not a big difference in my opinion. Much bigger files with more megapixels, but you dont really need that I think. Cheers for watching!

    Mr Statham!
    I greatly appreciate your work with shadow/contrast. I’ve learned a lot from seeing your photos and perspectives on this style of photography.
    I also have become obsessed with the barcode(?) area in Oslo. The reflections and architecture there make an amazing photo spot. I’ll shoot my own photos there some day!
    Thanks Daniel!

      Spot on Carl! Yes, the barcode area. Great warmup location, same as the Oslo Opera which is very close by. Went there today as well for some POV action. Where do you shoot your street photos by the way?

      @@DanielBryn I just head to the downtown area in the city I live. London, Ontario. In Canada. Usually a good for a couple hours of walking. I live a few hours from Toronto which is considerably bigger and way more interesting to shoot, it makes for a great day of shooting street!

    • @DanielBryn
      @DanielBryn  Год назад +1

      @@carlgoetzinger6876 Toronto sounds awesome to be honest. We dont have any big cities in Norway really. Oslo is quite small, but has loads of variety. Looking forward to travel to other cities in the near future though. When youve walked hundreds and hundreds of hours in one city, its good with a change. But just got a new POV camera which is GREAT for filming street photography. So many creative options while editing

      @@DanielBryn Toronto is great! Such a big mix of so many different styles, cultures and anything you could imagine. You can easily walk around and shoot photos for days without getting bored. If you ever come this way I’ll have to take you around!
      Oslo seems like an amazing place without being too big, a bit bigger than the city I live in but seems like a great place. I look forward to the POV videos, I love hearing the thought process that goes into pictures. I’ve been debating making some shorter POV street videos myself.

      Hey Jeff - many thanks, appreciate it. To be blunt, no settings. Its not a secret or anything, I share the general settings on my 5 tips for better street photography video. Id rather have people go out and experiment themselves than get caught up in exact settings. I shoot as automatic as possible, in aperture priority at f-5,6 to 8. ISO auto. Shutter speeds auto unless I want a specific result. Thanks for watching and have a great week!

    • @JeffMartinelli

      After I sent that I realized I was not specific. You mentioned in the video to leave a comment if we wanted to see how you set up your Fuji camera for street photography, video, and everything you use your camera for. I was commenting bc I’m interested in that. My fault for not being specific.

    Hi! Nice content and tips :)
    Just curious since I’ve started with street photography, isn’t spot metering an “easier” way of creating the look in camera or what’s your thoughts about that?
    The first thing I’ve noticed when returning to a “real” camera compared to my iPhone is that everything is exposed and HDR isch on a phone which is less fun and unique 😅
    Cheers!

      Hey there, id say go for it and see what you like best. Theres no right or wrong imo, only different ways of using your tools. But how much fun is street photography hey? Good luck and let me know how you fare. Currently far away from any streets at all, but doing new things with my camera is always a good idea
