Some of the best beam shots so far, thank you. Most of the people just shoot their garage door, which doesn't really make sense for a 1.000m thrower. And you show us the distance, which most people miss in their videos. Even your english is easy to understand for a native german 😀.

I lost my Catapult v6 and replaced it with Wowtac A4 v2.
And a few days ago I received Catapult pro. Catapult pro is the perfect super thrower, like a portable mini version of TN42, which I also have since earlier(XHP35 version).
Wowtac, which is Thrunite's budget brand, is a great option. Wowtac A4 v2 is close to the performance of v6 but cheaper and more compact. I highly recommend all these lights!

Thanks for the insight Patric. I'll make sure to check out Wowtac too

    That's quite a light!😲
Interesting that it has the gradual increase and decrease of the illumination levels, rather than the common low-med-hi switch settings. Impressive. Appears that it would be useful in the woods where I live in lighting up wild hogs and coyote that I'm currently engaged in an all out campaign to eliminate.

I'd say your woods and the woods in the next State too with this throw 😂

@@MoorlanderEDC Alrighty then! 👍I need a light that resembles the landing light on a B-52 bomber! Wanna blind those varmints, then blast 'em with a Colt 45!💥💨🐗
This sounds like just the thing I've been looking for. Thanks for the update!👍

When you say the light 'pierces' the darkness, that's what I'd call a 'spot' light. A light that fills in the whole area is a flood light.
For night time mountain biking you need both, a flood light on the handlebars that will reflect off the trees and illuminate the general area and a spot light on your helmet to light up what you're looking at, which is usually in the distance., around the next corner.
If I only had one light I'd chose a helmet mounted flood light as handlebar mounted lights, because they're so low, will cast shadows in any undulations in the terrain so its hard to tell the difference between a ripple in the trail and a ditch that could send you over the bars. A helmet mounted light will be pointing downwards, into the ditch so much safer at speed 😉

First off, stay safe buddy. That's sounds dangerous and fun either way 😂 secondly, I'd never thought about it like that when cycling. It makes perfect sense when you say it like that. I can see how the two lights would compliment each other when you're trying to get that 3D understanding of your surroundings. Next you're going to tell me you like paragliding in the dark too 🙏😂🍻

If I buy a Thrunite Catapult I will probably going towards the mini one :) These one is a lil too bulky for me

A great option here is Wowtac A4 v2. Significantly more compact than Catapult pro and with bright spill. The OSRAM LED lens system of Catapult mini provides pretty dim spill.
The same LED and lens used in the mini is used in a few other flashlights as well. For example Acebeam E10.

Good review, way to long but hey. A couple of things, you don't have to ramp all the way up or down you can change directions midway. Also you didn't mention It's biggest problem the over heating issues. I live down south where we only have 3 seasons January February and Summer.
The 26650 is not a proprietary battery they are fairly common, can be bought for cheap, and many manufacturers use them.
Some other lights I like with more throw and are less expensive are Convoy M21A, Mateminco MTY1, and Convoy M21E.

Thanks for commenting. Sorry its too a while to get back. Yes, I'm quite fortunate here. We have two seasons too. Raining/cold and July & August 😂 I've been sent a Convoy S2+ which I really like. It's great finding these other companies. I'll check these suggestions. Hope you're well and having a great weekend

It's the Mistral Anorak from Helikon Tex. I've been testing this out for a few weeks now and I'm very impressed with it so far. Should have some content up soon 👍
