I think the bug is probably that the actual effect is -100% reload time, given that it's reliant on the building, otherwise it would work for all settlements as soon as you have two of them
@@Kuddochan I just tried it and it's just the one building that is required. With Tier 1 you already get a noticeable effect but with one Tier 3 building the machine gun Cygor is already there. (Didn't get a chance to try Tier 2)
@@JustSome462 I think the actual bug is that it affects your own towers. At least according to the tooltip of that building it's supposed to give enemy towers less firing rate not increase your own.
I discovered this completely on accident one time while on a co-op campaign with my buddy and we absolutely lost it laughing at this ridiculous spectacle of bovine engineering
Haha, I know they didn't put much thought into the bloodground settelment buildings. Seems they aren't just impacting their own bloodgrounds, but all bloodgrounds. So two of those towers at -50% reload speed, means -100% reload speed, and it probably overflows when you have more than 2 and becomes a boulder machine gun.
I am a Modder, though I know more about the older games and have only dabbled in the 3 WH titles, and I almost guarantee that CA accidently set it to stack. Its is a little different for each title but both campaign and battle buffs basically have 2 major adjustments to them where this bug could be coming from. First are they flat or precent based, ignoring the text (that information is stored else where and has nothing to do with actual effects) they could have it set to a flat increase mean +50 reload skill would make the towers insane. The Second option is there is how buff stack with each other, you can set them to 4 general versions (its more complicated than this) not stack, stack, cancel out(new or strong one supersedes older/weaker), or with percentage based ones make them stack on each other, so a second +50% is on 25% then 12.5% and so on so there are diminishing returns. In case they have accidently left the effect capable of stacking and with 4 versions for building effects settlement, province, neighboring regions, and faction wide, the regions with this building are probably getting it twice from both the faction wide buff and the building in the actual settlement. If the effect can stack that is 100% reload reduction and some crazy fire rate. I would have to dig through files to see which it actually is but my bet is some version of the Second scenario with the regions where the build is located getting 2 stacking 50% buffs, I can't be sure as I said but I don't think flat 50+ reload is enough to make the tower shoot that fast.
I love the beastman and wood elf settlement battles and I hope they get some additional map layouts. In the same vein I hope some of the more copy past settlements that were added with IE get updated to be more fitting for their native races
