This movie is based real story, In 1976 Prabhas's Uncle Krishnam Raju made movie Called "Bhakta Kannappa" before his death he wanted make the same movie with Prabhas But One Manchu Vishnu and his Dad Mohan Babu approached Krishnam Raju to give permission to make this movie claimed this is Vishnu's Dream Project and Krishnam Raju gave the permission saying "Vishnu is also like my son".

Kannappa... Arjun's final incarnation. Very beautiful story. Kannappa was gift from the Devi to the tribal king. His wife was a Shiva bhakt and he was an atheist until he saw Shiva at Srikaalhasti Mandir. He became the greatest devotee of Shiva and attained salvation along with his wife in this temple as a boon from God. Their mortal bodies fell beside the Srikaalhasti lingam, their souls merged into one and went to Shiva.

It will be 3 hr movie... Vishnu's father Mohan babu acted with Prabhas in bujjigadu.. They are close from then.. Vishnu wrote the story and approched everyone of star cast that they will be perfect fit. The director of this movie is the person who directed Mahabharat series in Hindi... A part of story is given by Krishnam raju(Father of Prabhas).. He want Prabhas to do it... But when Mohan babu asked Krishnam raju , he gave the small part of story to Vishnu.

Kannappa is remake of a 1980s telugu movie 'bhaktha kannappa' by krishnam raju (Prabhas' uncle). Manchu vishnu is just a failed nepo baby with a lisp doing money laundering in the name of movies. All these ppl are doing cameos because of vishnu's father mohan babu's good will. The movie is a 100% going to flop and ruin a classic.
