When you activate a trap hole, Cularia allows you to set it again instead of it being destroyed. It’s like scrap-iron scarecrow but for trap holes

I think the real upside is the end of turn effect to bring back a traptrix - you can do something like normal a traptrix monster, link it off, and then bring it back at End Phase to trigger the special summon effect.

@@DarkAuraLord that’s a good effect and i do love it, but probably the same amount as her ability to recycle a trap hole every turn. Never have to worry about running out of trap holes

You normally want to shifter when your opponent is going first and you end on the best board you can. When you’re going first because Raff is dead in the water under shifter it’s normally best to set up redoer.

Ending on the link 2 with backrow is also good, resetting your traps is fine too

It's not. Mello pluses you more traps and rafflesia already provides an anti destruction same as the field spell.

It's only good if your starting hand has 1 other traptrix monster, but if you get ash'd you're screwed. If you're playing only 2 pudica chances are you won't see your field spell for the rest of the duel lol

Pudica needs another traptrix normal, but if you have one then pudica is way better

For pudica to be the best you need another traptrix in hand or have holeutea and another trap already in hand, with myrmeleo you can get holeutea (or a normal trap if you already have holeutea) make myrmeleo into sera, use the holeutea, special summon from deck with sera (dionaea to bring trap discarded) and you get a rank 4 (pinguicula to extend with arachnocampa and set a trap or rafflesia), with mantis you can get arachnocampa, mantis into sera, special arachnocampa, sera brings holeutea, use holeutea and can special summon dionaea to bring the trap hole discarded by holeutea and you can make a raff + cularia and set whatever trap you still have in hand, with pudica you set field and make a sera, but if you didn't have another traptrix in hand or holeutea (or parallel exceed), that's most of your turn.
