Good vid. Sand paper trick is cool. One thing I do if I feel a cone isn't true is to machine it. I had a cone that would always make it cut bad until a machined it.
The purpose of a lathe is to correct any rust and correct the thickness after noise complaints and heavy brake usage. The brake pads may damage the rotor due to uneven hitting.
I purchased an old 3000 lathe not realizing it's limitations. It's drum only machine. I want to do drums and rotors for 3/4 ton and up pickups. Can I "build" the brake lathe I need with the 3000 lathe? Or would it be too costly. What aamco lathe do I need for what I want to do?
I like that sand paper thing. Wrench trick is nice too. Good video for training or review.
