I'm honestly quite surprised how many of my predictions were wrong, but I'm quite pleased to be so. The enemies weren't quite what I was expecting. First, I thought the stingtail was going to be an immobilizing enemy, like the nemesis, but using the horns to quickly impale and displace the players seems better. The mortar enemy is a bit confusing to me; I'm imagining it's sort of like the goo bomber, but it tosses globs like the sludge pump, which slow but also deal a DoT? I agree when you say the area denial could get really bad really fast, so I really hope the septic spreaders are either really weak in terms of health, or the DoT isn't actually that bad. I also thought the new plague boss was a corrupted tyrant weed, but I suppose this makes more sense. I like that it's slightly mobile, but I think that become a bit of an issue when it goes into a narrow tunnel, since its hitbox looks pretty static--I wonder if it can dig like larger enemies do, or if it stays in its room? I wasn't expecting the expanded rockpox enemy variants, but I'm so glad they are. When you run a lithophage outbreak mission right now, the enemy variety is so small and annoying that it gets tiresome so quickly. This is a very welcome addition. However, I don't think there are even more types that they haven't shown. They streamed after this, and I didn't see any not already shown. The rocket boots were already well speculated on, so this was a pretty well known addition, and I'm super hyped for them. One note is that they have an overheat mechanic, not a fuel gauge; so, you can fly infinitely, but if you overheat them, you fall to your death. The hacking game being flappy bird is just spectacular. There's even a high score panel. I kinda want to know how the high score works, though--does it reset between each mission, for each unique lobby, daily/weekly, or does it take every player's all-time high? The fact that the lithophage can apparently now spread during the mission is such a welcome change. I've felt that it needed some added dynamism, and even if it's just the corruptor doing that, I think it's going to be great to have the added urgency. I'm not surprised they haven't really added any new weapons or overclocks or anything. I think they're very conscious of power creep (hence why a lot of the new grenades aren't the best, just versatile), so they don't want to add too much too fast. I think if we're going to get anything new, it's going to be in a future season, and it's going to be one of the bigger parts of it: they talk about the perk overhaul, and they seem to be actively working on it at the moment, and they mention prototyping overclocks all the time. Super excited for the new season!
That shotgun skin seen at 0:51 is the original Season 4 dlc framework, but GSG thought that the frameworks were underwhelming, so it's been replaced with a more detailed version of the DLC.
I am so excited for the new season! All of the new enemies look super cool; love the new RockPox variants especially. Love the breakdown and thank you for being so quick to put up a reaction! If you're not first, you're last 😎
Well this is going to be a huge learning curve for console players. Shooting while flying in the air and precision is needed for those boil weak points on the bugs.... This is going to be one hell of a hard time.
I am so glad that they are adding more enemies to this game and hopefully they won't go away when the season ends the qol changes are amazing and the game is now just a polished diamond I love the new changes. Now this is for me where it gets a bit negative don't kill me. For this season we had to wait 7 months that is a very very long time for this model now I know that it is all free but that does not excuse from any criticism I love this game I literally have 300 hours on this. The wait would've been warranted if the content in season 3 wasn't so limited and I'm worrying about the steady flow of actual content because the seasons seem to be getting farther away from each other. Now I'm glad that dsg is worried about power creep but I was just hoping for something more and I think they are having to put too much work into the season pass and all of its cosmetics whereas the actual content is less now, this is just what I think is happening. I'm still very excited for season 4 though and this will inevitably bring back into the game ROCK AND STONE.
it looked like there will also be new infected acid spitters as well. they weren't explicitly mentioned, but there 2 infected glyphids that fired ranged projectiles that look similar to acid spitters, and different from the previous infected grunts and praetorians shooting rockpox spores edit: the new hover boots are cool, but it feels like they might make the hover boots perk irrelevant
The thing about the hover boots perk is that you can rely on it being there when you need it. As a scout who uses it to save myself from falling to my death, or to stay in the air long enough to dig a ledge next to a high nitra vein, I might still want it, given that we may not find this hoverboot crate every time.
@@BernardoSutter Hover boots become absolutely useless on m1000 loadouts with hoverclock though- it was one of the first overclocks I unlocked and changed how I play scout completely, giving me room for field medic or iron will along with dash
@@BernardoSutter Yep, the overclock randomization is absolutely the best and worst part of this game - out of the whole thing, aside from cosmetic unlocks, it's really the only massively randomized part. I ended up getting ice spear and explosive LOK-1 bullets really early too, but it's all dumb luck
I'm feeling a bit off about it all. I fell off about midway through the last season because I simply felt I had done everything worth doing and "solved" the mechanical side of the game. I'd really have liked to see more content go towards fleshing out old systems so they're a little less solved and more "Which toy do I feel like playing with today?"

Gonna Pin this! lots of useful info. thanks for sharing! Cant wait for 2 more weeks!
Harold is comically fast when you trigger the fight. you can try it in the experimental branch of the game if you are on PC.

Interesting thanks for letting me know
The experimental grounded acid spitters are what evolved into that new spitter is how it looks to me

Lol at least there’s always the lok1 to help with that!
As long as there aren’t Rockpox grabbers or trijaws, console players should be fine. Breeders and bombers are relatively slow fliers
One thing I'm hoping for is that the arcade machine also has the hacking mini games as well, so you could aslo practice them outside of missons.

I think this new season pass is the best one yet to be honest. Love the unique paintjobs and gasmask.

You are right youdungoofed 🙂👍
your such an underrated youtuber
Goated comment! Thank you!
I love miners!
I think you missed something right after it talked about the Breeder we saw infected Spiters.
Also infected exploders right before the bomber.

Huge disappointment lmao. Virtually no content, this was not worth 7 months of waiting.
