Hey Chris, best way to print ASA is to print the first two layers out of PLA, after the print is cooled down to room temperature the two separate layers will peel right off. How to do it: go into your slicer and cut the model along the Z axis for two layers, if youre using 0.20 layer height that would be 0.4mm Now you have "two" parts, change bottom to pla and the top to ASA, Then in slicer settings add 2 to the bottom layer count.
@evilpenguin219 while yes PETG is great, ASA is superior when it comes to car parts, ASA is far more UV resistant, better heat resistant and also much better for diametrical accuracy
loving the build, i feel like there should be a way to better defuse the light from the leds so you dont see the individual lights through the plexiglass, but that's just nit picking at this point, i dont know if you would still get the brightness that you want/need though. If you are building an led light saber the have a foam that will defuse, or you can use cellophane.
Be sure to either cover the car for transport or make sure all of those fiddly bits can't blow off. A lot of things seem like they aren't secured super well. Best of luck!
Hey Chris! Love the videos. I build headlights/taillights, and one thing to think about is if those LEDs fail, you’re making it more difficult for yourself by sealing them with that stuff.
I use vinyl decals and play sand from lowes/Home Depot. Take a small screen to filter out the bigger rocks in it. I’ve done this on vehicle glass as well as plexiglass. Both works amazing!! I’ve used a siphon style and hopper style sandblaster. Sometimes the cheaper/simpler option is best!!
Even though there are some things that I definitely wouldn't have done, I'll have to admit that it's turning out great. The paint is definitely the right choice. The tail lights and the lighting around the car (especially the engraved parts). It truly looks like a cyberpunk Lamborgihini from a Forza Horizon game or something along those lines. I judged you too soon.
If you haven’t tried them already COB led strips would be worth a try they’re just one continuous strip of light so even if the strip is visible it will still look good
The lighting is so amazing. I've seen things, you people wouldn't believe, Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion I've watched C-beams glitter in the dark, near the Tannhauser gate All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain
The ideas are cool for a show car and all but u should really start planning urs builds a little earlier, its always so rushed, so theres plenty unfinished stuff, u guys are going to one of the biggest car event in the world, jst a thought
Okay, depending on what type of die that you’re using , if the mixture is thin enough or you may have to thin it down, put it into a spray bottle and spray the die onto the carpets or put it into a paint gun and do it that way
What if you make the top surface of the plex taillight bar opaque? Black vinyl wrap? That way you never see the rear of the plex piece. Looks very cool.
I really didn't think you were going to get this car done for SEMA.... But I love the look of the build!! Hope you'll do the interior when you get done with the show. I'd love to see more of this car!
You could just use a bit of wrap around the base of the tail light plexiglass to hide those lights and drill holes from a top down view. Also could you not use COB LEDs where you have solid colours?
I know you're flooded with negative comments about not having enough time and cutting corners. And to an extent I can agree. But at the end of the day you still have a widebody murcielago to take to Sema. Congrats man good work. Taillights look sick
If you used a clear or frosted vinyl it would give the appearance of etched glass. I had a sign shop and gave neighbors an expensive look for a cheap price
Well per usual he’s hacking together the car last minute to make it presentable in sema, but in reality it’s a pile rather then a super nice build which is what it should be when at sema.
I gotta be honest............................the tail lights look sick
That taillights looks AMAZING!! Congrats!
B is for before the negative comments (keep on rocking Chris!)
Funny guy!👀👀😬😬🤣🤣🤝🇬🇧🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦
😂😂😂
maybe there’s a reason for them… (like ricing out a crashed murci instead of restoring it)
@@porty6426LOL! Its still getting restored, even with the lights. Maybe ya just need to go touch grass.
@jess2690 If this is your idea of restoring a Lamborghini, I’d hate to see what your Kia Optima looks like
I’m not usually a fan of crazy light schemes but on a theme car like this it’s pretty awesome
With all the projects you got going on,you need to get with the nuts and bolts guys and get yourself all the hardware you could ever need

Or.... would PETG be easier? bridging the gap between the ASA and PLA?
@evilpenguin219 while yes PETG is great, ASA is superior when it comes to car parts, ASA is far more UV resistant, better heat resistant and also much better for diametrical accuracy
Fuck this thing is starting to look EPIC! Never bet against Chris as he always manages to pull it together! Hell yeah!!!
Also how good are those tail lights!
You have come so far from the cyber punk cars you built in your gravel driveway... outstandig!
Didn't expect lighting to look that good. 🙌
This is coming together fast
Cannot wait to see it finished at SEMA!
That looks amazing. Can't wait for the reveal.
I would imagine pointing lazers at oncoming traffic is not the best idea
For legal reasons, they can be turned off…
b is for build it radical/ridicules
love it!
You look so DED at the end of the episode! Ya gotta start like a month earlier next year!!! But the lighting is SICK!!!!!!
As always this came together right at the end . Absolutely awesome
Looking awesome man!
honestly everything looks really good... definitely a fun project for the team 👌
Diffused LEDS already exist, it would have saved you a lot of time plus they’re brighter, and easier to work with. Just more expensive
It's looking awesome!!!!!

The acrylic glass taillights looks so cool!
You guys are doing an amazing job! Can't wait to see the final version!
Be sure to either cover the car for transport or make sure all of those fiddly bits can't blow off. A lot of things seem like they aren't secured super well. Best of luck!
Honestly, wow! Usually I can see what you see in these cars but this was a complete surprise. Amazing job!
I couldn't really see the cyberpunk concept until this ep, the lights definitely make it work, hanging out for the last few EPs 💪
Haven't checked in on this build in a while. Shit, that etching is cooooool!
Absolutely Epic!!! Love this Concept & Execution!
Hey Chris! Love the videos. I build headlights/taillights, and one thing to think about is if those LEDs fail, you’re making it more difficult for yourself by sealing them with that stuff.
Looks like a PC case you'd find in a basement 🤣
I love that you are using Forged in Fire knowledge! Those tail lights WILL CUT lol
Can’t wait to see the finished car!😊
So chill, love the energy here!

This is nuts man! Very very cool!
Damn, seeing the vision come through. This looks promising!

Those tail lights are freaking awesome! Great job
Scott, if you can contact Jada toys To make a 1:24 scale model so we can buy from your shop. I love how this Cyber-Murciélago 🦇 came out.
Yep, looks cool AF
I can finally see this was a good look, and use, for the Murci 👍 It's all subjective of course, but yeah I can see it now, and it's great fun as well!
This starts to look so awesome. At first I hated the idea of being partially damaged, but now I can't wait to see the end result ❤
Amazing lighting! I love cyberpunk.
Looking sensational mate 👌
At SEMA looking forward to seeing this build.
If you haven’t tried them already COB led strips would be worth a try they’re just one continuous strip of light so even if the strip is visible it will still look good
Nice work! RESPECT to you & team
Looking sick!
I can see how much effort you put in!
Did that paint get a satin clear? I didn't notice a clear get put on.
Keep on keepin' on, looking great!
Awesome ladies and gentlemen 👏👏🔥🔥,welcome Zane good job buddy 🤙🙌🙌🇬🇧
Taillights look sick!!
The lighting is so amazing.
I've seen things, you people wouldn't believe,
Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion
I've watched C-beams glitter in the dark, near the Tannhauser gate
All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain
Hell yeah did not know a video was coming this soon
Pretty tight man, good job
Tbf that's sick ee need more mods like this
Really lookin cool!
I really couldn't visualize how this build is going until now, love it. Those taillights are Badazz!
Coming along real nice😮
I would kill to have this guy's dedication and following. And a Lamborghini Gallardo.
Crap, do I sound like a bot?
Love the taillights....A++
Looks sick!!!!!!
Amazing build

Keep making such wonderful videos. Your videos are a true work of art.🍅♀️🌲
This looks bad ass!!
Thx Chris, Zane and Chelsea

Looks very cool.
Very cool!
Inspired work congrats
I really didn't think you were going to get this car done for SEMA.... But I love the look of the build!! Hope you'll do the interior when you get done with the show. I'd love to see more of this car!
He barely revisited any car after sema
I follow every build, but I really don't understand this one
You could just use a bit of wrap around the base of the tail light plexiglass to hide those lights and drill holes from a top down view. Also could you not use COB LEDs where you have solid colours?
Why don't you use rubber mould that use the on car doors to seal the wires
Baking soda works for frosting acrylic as well.
B is for Bots! Haha jk loving this build, Chris.
Lookin great! Hope you can you take a small break and recharge.
lighting looks killer... freakin lazzzers!
I know you're flooded with negative comments about not having enough time and cutting corners. And to an extent I can agree. But at the end of the day you still have a widebody murcielago to take to Sema. Congrats man good work. Taillights look sick
Why don't you use some tesla cyber truck wing mirrors 😊
Yeeeeee can’t wait!!
If you used a clear or frosted vinyl it would give the appearance of etched glass. I had a sign shop and gave neighbors an expensive look for a cheap price
Awesome
Etch the logo into the clear bit on the skirts so the light catches it when it's on
And further on you do etch the rear glass 😂
Nombre te fuiste al mame carnal te esta quedando precioso!!
So sick! I'm a sucker for accent lighting tho 😅
I like the taillights
Good luck in school, Zane! Don't be a stranger to B is for Build!
Shun the non-beleivers Chris this build is awesome!
oh yeah!
Bro we need a garage tour. I really wanna know how the storage and logistics are organized.
The murci is fire when you finish with Sema you must take it to DDE HQ to make video together with DDE LM Murci
Sema live started yesterday when you going down with it Chris?
The etched plexi in rear is giving "pimp my ride" vibes
Well per usual he’s hacking together the car last minute to make it presentable in sema, but in reality it’s a pile rather then a super nice build which is what it should be when at sema.
Hell yeah
The front splitter should come further for the front edge of bumper then it will create the aggressive look 🤌
Could you tint the topside of the plexiglass in the taillight?
You could've laser cut the tints for the rear hatch thing, leaving out just the letter where the etched was done
