"Biking from India to Nepal: Day 1 of My Adventure from Gwalior to Sonauli Border (Dec. 2021)"
I started my first international bike ride from Gwalior to the Sonauli border, which is the gateway to Nepal. The journey was around 680 kilometers and included a stretch of the Agra Lucknow Expressway. I began early in the morning to avoid traffic and reach the border before sunset.
Despite the cold weather in the morning, I was thrilled to experience the adventure. The Agra Lucknow Expressway was smooth, and the beautiful landscapes surrounding it were mesmerizing. The winding roads and curves added a thrill to my ride, and I took short breaks in between to rest and have some food. I also interacted with locals and learned about their culture and traditions.
As the day progressed, I finally reached the Sonauli border. Crossing the border and entering Nepal was a surreal feeling. The border was bustling with people, and I completed the immigration formalities before parking my bike on the other side.
Overall, the first day of my international bike ride was fantastic. The Agra Lucknow Expressway, scenic beauty, and the warmth of the locals made this journey memorable. I am excited to continue my journey and explore more of Nepal on my bike.
